Prepaid online for 4 new tires for wife's car. Wife drove the 40 miles from Fernley to have a prepaid fuss free experience. This was not to be. They did not have the tires in stock, though the online app allowed me to buy and schedule for these particular tires. We'll call you when we have them in stock they said. No call, wife had to call back, we'll call you they said, Monday I call for a refund first time it rang until it hung up on me. 2nd attempt I get a hold of Heather, ask for a refund and she says, "Well call you back". Then they call my wife back instead of me. We used to live in the area for years, I have used them before for tires, one time before I could not get a tire flat repaired at 7am so I could get to work, had to go to Big O on Mae Anne and pay them to get it fixed. Thought they valued my patronage, thought I would be loyal and come back even though I had a bad experience before, thought prepaying would avoid any hassle for my wife and I, I guess a thinking man should not go to a vendor who does not have thinking employees or an accurate system online that will avoid hassles for customers. Thinking of using Tires Plus Reno on McCarran, think again. This is beyond the pale. read more

I went to this location even though i originally bought my tires in Carson City for a tire rotation. I was toting my 7month old around with me that day and had been putting my rotation off for weeks. As i asked about a service i was told a two hour wait, i obviously did not have 2 hours or live in town to come back at a more convient time. I expressed my frustration and immediately Steve told me himself that he had kids and would do his best to get me in. I had my oil changed at Tires Plus @ 1250 N McCarran Blvd in Reno after great service with 2 new tires. They put the wrong size oil filter on and the oil leaked out, as you can imagine I was not a happy camper. Well, the manager, Pedro and technician Aeron, came to my house, put the right filter on the car and added oil. They then drove it back to the shop, redid the oil change, washed the oil off the engine, and changed my oil pressure unit for free because they noticed a leak. Then they brought the car back to my house. Sometimes it is not the service that you provide during normal conditions that makes a business great, but the service provided when there is a mistake to fix that sets a business apart from the rest. Well, in my opinion, they went above and beyond to fix this problem and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I recently took my car in to have work done on the cooling system. A few days passed and the "check engine" light came on as it did before the service. I brought my vehicle over to another shop and the mechanics showed me things to confirm my suspicions that nothing was done! I am furious about losing money and I will never go to Tires Plus again! Ran over a bolt and got a popped tire. Brought it in at 8 and told them I needed a repair ASAP so I could get to work by 9. I was in and out in less than an hour. Further, one of the fella's (with long hair) went the extra mile and fixed a hubcap that had come loose. When I need car repair in the future, I will be returning here. read more

Spectacular service! We are visiting from out of town and ended up with a flat after our tire met a giant metal shard. They were open on Sunday and told us to come right over. They patched us up and had us out the door in no time, and refused to charge us for the trouble. When Pedro was in charge, I never had a problem getting in and out within a reasonable amount of time. Since he left, they want appointments for everything. I don't always know whether I will be available to drop my car off with an appt. BUT, they don't have any problem getting you in and out if you're buying 4 new tires. I bought studded tires about 3 years ago with no problem going in and out when I bought them. I also bought the lifetime mounting and balance so I wouldn't have to pay every time I go to get them changed. BUT...now that they aren't getting that money with every tire change, they tell me...only if you can leave the car all day if I don't have an appt. This is Friday, and I know I have a couple of hours tomorrow. Yet, they said "only if you can leave it all day". They have said this last couple of times. Most of the people I know only have one car to use and don't want to tie it up all day just for a tire change. I believe I will go elsewhere on the next set of tires that I need. Somewhere that believes in After the Sale Service. read more

Bought tires here, slow service but the real problem is after. They say they will rotate and balance every 5000 miles but they are never able to get you in unless it is at their convenience. I would never do any business here again, go to Costco, they will get you in and out in a half hour on a rotate, not tell you to make an appointment a week out, expect you to leave your car for half a day and take off work just for a rotate. read more

Recently while visiting Reno I got a screw stuck in my rear drivers side tire. I picked Tires Plus because of it's hours and location. Upon arrival I spoke with Pedro. He was extremely helpful. It was close to the end of the day and they weren't sure if they can fit me in. Pedro found me another shop that said they could repair the tire the same day. I went to the other shop and was informed they only plugged tires. I know plugs are not a good option and called Pedro to see if I could leave the tire over night to have it repaired. He said that was no problem. When I got back to Tires Plus Pedro went and fixed my tire on the spot. He did this even though they were closing in five minutes. He was super helpful and extremely nice. I would highly recommend this shop and Pedro for any tire services. read more

I called Tires Plus and spoke with Richard. I asked him if they had time to install my four new tires I had just picked up from the Tire Rack, he said yes. I arrived 30 minutes later, and he got me right in. I had an appointment at the Dentist in 1 and 1/2 hours and only had an hour to spare. He had an mechanic break loose from another job and put him to work on my vehicle. I drove out an hour later on my new tires, the prices were as advertised, no surprises. He really worked with me, and I am happy to recommend his business. read more

These guys are fantastic. They are incredibly helpful, and take great care of my car. I love that I can make an appointment online. Last time I came in, I was told that they only had one of the tires I had originally discussed purchasing. He offered to either run over to their other store to grab another, or give me the next level of tire at the same price as the original tire. I decided to get the next tire up, and after I got my car, they said that when I came in for the next two, I would get the same tires at the same price. I was kept informed of the progress of the tire replacement and alignment that I was having done. After my service, Brian explained what the alignment testing had revealed and what had been done to correct it. The waiting area is spacious, comfy and clean. I will definitely be using these guys for all of my car care in the future! read more

I had a screw in my tire that was not leaking air. I was not sure of the length of the screw, so I took my pickup to Tires Plus. Victor came out immediately to assess whether it needed repair or not. The best service I have ever had at a tires plus before. There was an issue while I was waiting for an alignment with someone's "service" dog (which was constantly barking and growling at anyone that walked by even the little kids) and after they left the manager apologized and understood it was upsetting. He was very kind and professional and did not make a scene to the people. They also gave me a free oil change for all the trouble and the wait. read more

This is the only Tires Plus i trust to work on my car, and they have several times. They were very helpful and worked with me on ordering my tires and installing them close to their closing time. They offered to give me a free alignment check, although i told them i couldnt afford the alignment if it was needed. At 80,000 miles and some rough off road use, i figured it would be out of alignment. To my surprise, the tech came to the lobby and showed me the printout, and told me it was spot on. Their pricing is about the same and most tire shops i priced, but thier financing was good and they are honest. Theyve earned my business. read more

I called one morning to get a quote on a particular pair of studless snow tires for my Toyota. I spoke with Pedro who immediately struck me as sincere and genuine. Basically, I told him what I was looking for and he said he'd go looking for my tires and call me back ASAP with the possibility of having my tires switched out that same day. Mind you... This was the first real weather of the season which is typically a busy time for tire guys as everyone, including myself, waits till that critical moment you need your tires on NOW! Anyhow, I was so impressed with the whole experience from start to finish. He found the tires and called me back when he said he would and had those tires mounted and balanced within a half an hour of my arrival. In the shop we chatted it up a bit about travel and iPhones. He's an exceptional frontman! A genuine customer service representative. I also want to acknowledge the team effort of those guys in the garage who get the job done. My experience on the whole was impressive! I received a call from Pedro a few days later asking if those tires were doing the job. The funny thing was that Initially, I was pretty bummed when I realized that I had called the wrong Tires Plus and had been doing business with Pedro's store because of my loyalty to the Northwest location also on McCarran....Sorry Northwest...I'm officially converted. I've had nothing but excellent service with every Tires Plus experience. They seem to hire really good down to earth guys who get the job done while appreciating you as their customer. Thanks guys! Okay, here's the deal I have been a customer of Tires Plus for quite a few years and Pedro the new manager is a good guy great mechanic and will help you out for a decent price. If Pedro is working then I recommend going here, if not well its not always the most organized operation i have seen and for some reason i find myself missing Rich the old manager. Anyways the reason for writing this review is because of the girl who has been working there the past few months she has irritated me for the last time today. She has absolutely no clue what she is doing. She knows nothing of the automotive industry and every single time I call and she answers it turns out to be a complete waste of time, she always gives the wrong answer if she can even come up with one. Sadly I think I will start going to the other tires plus until these guys can get things back under control, I just don't have time for it. read more
