01.29.26 I came in for an alignment after having some work done on my vehicle, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Al greeted me with a smile on the day of my appointment and clearly explained what to expect, including the process, time frame, and cost. There were no pushy "salesman" tactics--just friendly, straightforward information and clear expectations. Chris was my technician that day and performed a thorough pre-alignment inspection before getting to work. The results were immediate: my vehicle no longer pulled to the right, and the steering was perfectly re-centered. Everything was completed in just over an hour. I was especially impressed with the above-and-beyond service included in the inspection. Chris filled the front and rear ball joints with grease where needed and documented everything with notes and photos. The detailed digital report was emailed to me after the service, providing a clear visual record of the vehicle's condition and any future or immediate maintenance needs--an incredibly helpful touch. Al was fantastic throughout the visit--honest, friendly, and patient with all of my questions. Nothing they've ever done or said has been evasive, unclear or disatisfactory. I've had EXTENSIVE work done on my 2022 Rav4 here to the tune of $3000something. When a part failed months later, it was recommended that I upgrade it to a part that wasn't available when the work was done initially, I just paid the difference. If I had replaced it with the same part it would have costed me $0.00. Warranty their work For all you cheapskates out there, this is why you don't hire craigslist mechanics. I'm a mechanic's daughter, I run everything by my dad prior to approving services and their advice is always on par with his. There's a reason they have been around for what is it now? 60 years? Will you pay more for services? Maybe. But don't you want the job done right by people who are paid adequately in a shop that is following all disposal, health and safety laws? They have a car of mine right now that is probably totaled in terms of repairs that are needed. This isnt the best news for anyone to hear BUT I bought a 31 year old vehicle that is nuts and bolts so I dont have an eventual computer failure looming over my head. My prerogative... Im keeping it and now I have a lovely prioritized laundry list of items to take in stride. Some stuff we will do, some stuff my dad, some stuff Sunshine. I had my gmc 2500 sierra aligned after getting new tires. I told them the old tires had excessive wear on the outside edges. The alignment was within limits but they fine tuned it and adjusted the camber. We will see how the new tires wear. So far no pulling left or right. read more

Super friendly and super easy. They explained everything amd don't try to make you feel like you should trust them. They give you a reason to trust them and go into detail. They look out for their customer and there's no hassle. We were there for about two hours to get two things done. They were accommodating amd friendly the entire time. They make it feel like your family. Also their facility is clean and their bathrooms kept up. They had a very comfy waiting area and provided drinks and snacks for those who may need it. It's also cool to support local and to see the historical aspects of the company. Also if you wait and want to go grab food there's plenty of areas within. Walking distance to grab a meal or other snacks. Also the price was within. Reason and isn't anymore or less than other areas. They are honest about the price as well. It can always change depending on how much work needs to be performed. Will for sure come back for our car needs. Took so long for us to find the perce t place to go. We went to a lot. read more

DO NOT USE KALI'I AS YOUR SERVICE ADVISOR. Man, what a sh*t show this place is!!! DO NOT LET THEM BALANCE YOUR WHEELS. Long story, but here we go. I called around and spent months trying to find somewhere in Reno that can properly balance 35" wheels and tires. I bought new wheels and tires, needed them balanced. Truck had no shake or vibration with the OEM wheels. Sunshine was recommended to me by someone at a gas station with 35s that had them balanced there. Sounded great! It surely wasn't. I brought my truck in with an appointment 1/21/26 and left it for the day to have the wheels and tires balanced. The front desk service advisor Kalii took the keys and said they'd get it done. I come back for the truck a few hours later and Kalii informed me they used 40 ounces of wheel weights! And they charge $1.95 PER OUNCE of weight used. On top of a $120 balancing fee. Oh well, trucks balanced and move on right? NOPE. Im driving home the truck has a violent shake and balancing issue is even worse. So I call back Kalii and he said the technician balanced them and they were fine, and I didn't pay them to diagnose the issue further. But the issue somehow got worse? So I come back the next day, and talk to Kali'i about the shake. He was exceptionally rude and said that if the machine claimed they were balanced, that they are. I assured him it was a balancing problem, and to please re check them. Kali'i was aggressive and in my face claiming there wasn't an issue and if I wanted them to diagnose it, there would be a labor charge. I asked him to have them re checked for balance and nothing more. 3 hours later, a technician Kolton came out and wanted to chat. Turns out the day before the wrong machine was used and he tried to make the best of it but still ended up using 40 ounces of weights. He owned up and felt bad about it and the next day re balanced them on a different machine and they ended up using 8 ounces. That sounds about right. Cool, shout out to the tech Kolton for owning up and making it right. We went on a test drive and sure enough no vibrations at all. Awesome! So I go back to speak to Kali'i and he's not there. No worries, I ask Justin to have him call me when he's available. No call. I call Friday and ask for Kali'i. Not available, no call back. Same story the following Monday. Same story Tuesday. Finally on Wednesday I call and Kali'i answers. Kali'i remembers me and my truck but surely doesn't remember speaking to me the way he did on the second day. I ask what he wants to do about the issue and he said there was nothing to do. At the minimum, you'd expect a shop who messes up to refund you the weights they charge a criminal amount for already. So I ask him can we just write off the weights I paid $77 for that got stripped off the next day. Kali'i was ride once again and said that the best he could do was refund me half the weights of $30. I'm sick of dealing with him and Sunshine Automotive so I take it and move on. I finally ask Kali'i if he had anything else to say (maybe an apology or owning up to being unbelievably rude) and he hung up on me. So, if you need a wheel and tire balance on a 35" or bigger tire, maybe find another shop. And if you have to use Sunshine, talk to anyone but Kali'i. read more

I got an alignment and wanted my brakes checks. I was checked in and out within a few minutes, but had I been waiting there, there was a small lobby with soft couches and a small fridge with complimentary beverages. lAwesome customer service; Justin explained the service report over the phone and then again in person when I picked up the car. A link to a detailed report, including photos, was also messaged to prior to pick up. The front desk gal and Justin were both kind, patient, and professional. The whole process was extremely transparent and my alignment is good. No pressure to perform more services as the brakes are still in decent condition. I have used Sunshine Service many times to figure out and fix problems other garages have failed to do. They are the best at that and people that work there are great to deal with. My latest issue was a security fail alarm which immobilized my 2003 Jag preventing it from starting. The jag forums are full of people having this issue and finally giving up on their cars due to it. They found the source which was a instrument cluster failure which involved getting a new cluster and cloning it to the original and installing same- thus getting the car running again. Justin was the best to deal with and kept me informed through the process. They are my go to as can be counted on to find and fix the issue. read more

Do NOT purchase tires for any heavy vehicle from here! We spent $4000 on 6 tires for the RV .. and was sent home with a front end that vibrated like crazy.. After we took it back ... they determined the front tires (both!!) were 'out of round' i.e. defective ... rather than replacing the tires .. they proceeded to 'shave' rubber off each tire (and call it 'good') OMG ... still has a front end vibration ... and $4000 out of pocket Be fore warned 'DO NOT PURCHASE TIRES' here!! read more

After a long roadtrip I returned home with squeaky brakes. I called around and everyone offered appointments a week or two out. Sunshine gave me an appointment next day and was able to complete the repairs same day. They also rotated my tires and did a complete inspection. Found a couple of other small issues that I can take care of myself. There was no hard sell or pressure to buy anything that I didn't need right away. Service staff graciously answered all our questions promptly which made an initial good first impression. Gave us a thorough written work order with costs up front. Sorta did it within the time they said they would. Sorta left the vehicle as clean as how we brought it in. No one here offered to commit fraud to reward us, pay us or compensate us for posting a 5 star review of this business. CONS Final bill was FAR more than the written work order. No previous disclosure to us or obtaining from us our written authorization that additional work beyond work order was being done (We NEVER authorized any additional work). No previous disclosure that final bill was going to be FAR more than the written work order (we NEVER authorized any additional charges). No previous explanation why final bill was FAR more than the written work order. No Military Discount on the final bill. It took a while during which we held firm that they had NO previous disclosure to us before the alleged additional work was done and they had NO written authorization from us for their alleged additional charges. To me, as the customer, the essence of good customer service is forming a relationship with me, the customer - a relationship that me, the customer, feels that I would like to continue. To me, good customer service is all about sending me, the customer away happy - happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers. We left with the unhappy distinct impression employees here are maybe independent contractors. Either way, we felt they work on commission; and are more interested in making a one-time killing off us than earning a living with our repeat business and referrals. I got a great referral from a friend who went in for a 5 point inspection so I made an appointment and today was my service day. I was welcomed by Kalii and sat down in their cozy waiting room which had free Wi-Fi and coffee with nice air conditioning. My advisor Alberto told me what to expect throughout my service. Kolton was my Service tech who drove my car, photographed my breaks and did my inspection. The photos and details were emailed to me and Roberto went over How my car did! My breaks are good, I just need to not ride my break as much. Haha Tires look good and so many green checks on all thinks checked. I paid 27.03 and I need to pay attention to my next tire rotation and come back for an oil change. Impressive Services for my car and outstanding Customer Service. Got a deal for this shop via Costco. I had a family member drop the car off for me since I was working. The diagnostics were very thorough! I was only there for an alignment after getting new tires, but it was cool to see all the other components of my car were also looked at. I liked that the diagnostics were sent digitally so I could more easily keep them on record. The only negative part is that they want your car all day even with an appointment. They said they'd call me when my car was done and they called 5 minutes from closing which meant we had to wait another day for the vehicle. Overall, would still recommend this place to a friend with the Costco deal. read more

I was finally able to get an appointment to have new tires mounted and balanced, alignment for my truck. I can tell you these guys are a helluva lot more honest and reasonable to do repairs than "dolan toyota in reno", "dolan" missed replacing multiple parts that was redone by other shops, which I am slowly finding out. This time, it was the rack and pinion bushings which should have been caught by a factory authorized shop but missed. This could easily been picked up by the factory technician on the test drive. I will strongly recommend no one in their right mind should use "dolan" toyota for their vehicle repairs, if they value their life since "dolan's" technicians do some very uns read more
