Not the top tier shop it once was. "Package deals" where you are charged for services you didn't receive or need. That was their nitch now you just pay more for same service every one else gives. Finally bought all four of my tires from Les Schwab! I'm usually a Costco tire center person but Les has done me right over the years since I moved to Reno in 2012. Yes, I called around first but the hype and the deal of these all-weather, Hungarian tires that Rick portrayed sounded quite appealing. It was Black Friday which meant nothing except they were pretty quiet that day and my tires were done within a couple hours. I'm happy with the warranty they provide and I'm excited to have done business with them. read more

I had a slow leak in my tire due to a drywall screw.....I stopped into Les Schwab in South Reno and asked a technician outside if they might have time for a "drop-in" tire repair and he said "Yes, no charge." I was surprised since I hadn't bought these tires at Les Schwab (he didn't even ask where I bought them). The service was exceptional; everyone in the shop was polite and friendly and eager to help (reminded me of what I think the early gas stations were like in the 1940's with gas attendants). They estimated an hour wait and they were done in 30 minutes. When I need new tires, I will be going to this Les Schwab location. Thanks for your help! read more

Place is horrible! .I had them install new tires. Part of the tire machine was stuck in my tire. I brought it back to them to tell them there's an issue. They said they could not find the issue when I removed my own tire and had to bring it back to them to show them there's an issue. They finally discounted the tire and cleared out the inside of my tire, which had the plastic piece off their tire machine. They also did not torque down my wheel lock, which led it to fall off. Then, they removed 4 of my factory. Lug nuts and installed different color lug nuts that don't match and I've been waiting for over a month for them to find my original lock Nuts and to call me and get it squared away. Really? Bad location managers don't care. They don't take accountability for anything. Do not go to this location.. read more

This has always been a great Les Schwab to work with! I needed a steering wheel re-aligned so when it was straight the truck drove straight. Took it in and within a few hours it was all done for $119. The guy I was dealing with is named Greg I think, he's the guy with the tats from wrists up, anyhow nice guy to work with and would recommend him to others! read more

The front desk said it would take an hour for: - Verify master cylinder for excess play - they completed brake shoe R/R for front tires last oil change. All good. - Check Cabin filter under Glove box. She had it air sprayed and is good til next oil change. - Rotate tires. All done and wear markers given. All good. - Change full synthetic oil & oil filter. All done with zeroing oil life counter. All completed in one hour except I asked for some time to go shopping near by. *If you walk around while they work on your car , you won't be there bothering anyone there. read more

This place is very quick, efficient, and were reasonably priced, I needed to get my shocks and struts replaced and they were able to get me on their schedule within 5 days and the day of service they were done within 4 hours so it was a great experience and I got what I needed pretty quickly read more

Quality/Quantity - New tires for one of my cars a few years back. Had an issue which they fixed after a few trial and errors. The stem was leaking. Had a flat (nail) on our other car (from the Home Depot on Northtowne) which they repaired today for free and in less than the promised 1.5 to 2 hours. They also do brakes, alignment, batteries, shocks & struts, etc. Financing available. Atmosphere - Good size location. Open 6 days a week from 8am to 6pm and 8am to 5pm on Saturdays. Closed Sundays. Coffee, wifi, water, and movies streaming while you wait. Service - Good. I also get maintenance emails from them often. Price - Free today. Sorry, not sure what I paid for my tires on the other car, approx $400 for two tires + alignment. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success in Reno since 1997. Also congrats on Les Schwab success since 1952 with 500+ locations. 2020 family owned business sold to SF investment fund. read more

Rude, inefficient and take way too long! After waiting for two hours and being told that my car would be done in another hour, I got my keys and went to Big O Tires where they fixed my car in 30 minutes. I will tell everyone that I know to go to Big O Tires and not to Les Schwab, as they are horrible, inefficient and rude. read more

Had a brake job done and as they were backing the car out, they left the door open and partially ripped it off the hinge and bent the window frame. This caused a gap so couldn't drive in the rain or snow. To get a replacement door took 4 months and I was responsible for getting estimates from collision repair shops. Then on top of that I didn't have transportation for the week that the car was in the shop and they didn't provide a rental. The only compensation Les Schwab provided was a $300 discount on the brake repair. They also said that it wasn't their fault that it took 4 months to get a replacement door and therefore weren't responsible (EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE!). These guys are horrible and if they damage your car, they won't adequately and FAIRLY make it right. DO NOT GO TO LES SCHWAB IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT! read more

Booked an appt week in advance for an alignment at the So Reno location on So Virginia St. with a Brandon over the phone who was all too nice. My fave auto shop, 'Bavarian Auto House' no longer does alignments so they recommended LesSchwab Day of appt I had asked if they had a shuttle and was told no, but they'd arrange a ride. I arrived for my appt and Brett ( co owner) gave me a ride and made sure to call him if I needed a ride later. Once I picked up my car, again the check out was smooth and everyone in the shop is smiling and all too happy! I'm very happy with my service there as there were no 'additional charges' added nor did they find anything else that needed to be fixed and I feel good that my mechanic referred them! It's weird that I've had the need to visit one about three times in the past three months, but I sure am glad they're around. You're greeted with a smile. They work fast. They give you the info you need and peace of mind comes with that too. They don't sell and in so doing they earn trust and your business too. There are few things in our day to day quite as distressing as a flat tire, or car problems. When they show up... it just throws our plans and our sense of day to day security into a tail spin. I took a screw on my right rear tire. And this was my spare tire from a freeway nail I took a couple weeks ago. All while needing to get out of town for important meetings in SoCal. Anyway... AAA got me over to the South Lake center. Without an appointment. And the team was just spot on. Kind. Calm. Thorough. Lucy who checked me in was very in command of her space and the process. With an assuring smile and a kind tone, she let me know where the Starbucks was. She shared they'd call when the car was ready. And sure enough, Justin called not more than 2 hours later... ' you're all set Mr. Corridan ' , he shared. What did you all do? Just a patch. No big deal. Good for the life of the tire. Upon heading back to settle my bill, Lucy let me know there was no charge. With my 8 year old son on the other side of the 400 miles I needed to drive to get to Southern California... I about burst into tears. ... thank you. Top tier professionalism. I have been going to this location for years and no brainer when I needed new tires to go back. I got a reasonable quote and confirmed drop off for the following day. The worker told me she had no appointments but if I was able to drop my car off for a few hours they'd get me in. The next morning, I dropped my car off at 915am. I came back at 230pm, having not received a call, and they said there was 4 more cars ahead of me. Stated worse case 2 hours. So, I sit down to wait. 2.5 hours, I say I need to get going soon and pick up my kids and my car still hadn't been touched. I saw 2 other people just walk in and state an issue with their tire and they were immediately helped. I went up to the desk and told the worker I needed my keys and had to leave. She said not a word, grabbed my keys and handed them to me. No apologies, no inquiry to reschedule. I will not go back and have told everyone I know of the terrible service. read more

I have purchased several sets of tires from the 9500 So. Virginia street location. Thousands of dollars I've paid this location. I tried making an appointment for a nail. The website said 7 days out. I called and was told tire repairs are walk in only. I got there early and was told it should be pretty quick. 1-1/2 hours is not acceptable. I reached out to customer service, spoke to Rick, he told me that was fast for tire repair. I hung up. This is not acceptable and is horrible customer service. I'll be going to Tires Plus or Costco in the future. read more

I love Les Schwab because they have been so helpful for both our cars every time I have been there: knowledgeable, helpful, respectful, efficient, clean, and great tires we bought too. I am not a car guy but I am Convinced I felt a difference in how my truck drove after their recommended tires were installed. They just always do a great job. Friendly staff. No selling stuff I don't need Plenty of parking, skilled staff. The Reno store has plenty of space to relax while waiting for service. I thought I needed brakes. They took a look and said my brakes are fine, just needed some cleaning. They sprayed the rotors and told me to return in a few months my brakes should be fine for a while. No charge for the inspection and service provided. Customer service has always been a priority, the company is well known for their service. As far as price, they are totally reasonable and really stand by their work. If you are gonna wait while your car is being serviced, bring a laptop. read more

Checked on prices a few weeks back for shocks. Called again to verify and price was the same. Martin knew a lot about the shocks and told me everything I needed to know to make an educated decision. I had one other quote by phone and prices were the same except I was told here that my truck would probably need the alignment at the same time, if not, they would deduct it from the bill for $884. Okay that sounded fair but from experience they are going to do it anyway. If it is slightly out of align after checking it on the machine, they take care of it. So I knew exactly what I was going to pay. I was having a busy week and decided last minute to call and see if they could get it in that day and to my surprise I was told they could as long as I could leave it all day. They would fit me in so I got it there around 10am. Boy was I surprised when I got a call that it was done at 2pm. I just was not expecting that. The only thing they forgot to mention on the pick up of the truck was the warranty so we asked for it. You just never know when you will get a defective part. All-in-all, the experience was good. read more

I took my SUV in for a left front tire repair. They checked me in and said it would be about 90 minutes because there were 3 others in front of me. I went to the waiting area to take some work calls. 90 minutes later they called me to the desk and said my car was ready. They had found a small screw in the tire. They asked me to sign the checkout, then gave me my keys. I was perplexed a bit. "How much do I owe you?" Gabe said, "Oh it's free for tire repairs right now. Happy holidays!" I went in on a Friday at about 4 pm. The left front tire was about 13lbs low. I entered and told the gal what was going on. She took my info and the keys. 45 minutes later the car had not been moved. I walked back up, I was sitting in the waiting room, and asked for my keys back. The gal looked and said "you haven't been helped yet?" I told her that the car has not been looked at and the tire has not been filled. I told her I would go find a gas station or another tire shop that could help me. One of the mechanics told me that there were other cars ahead of me. I told him I just wanted air. He told me that I should have pulled up to a bay. I told him I was not told to do that and that it would be rude of me to just pull up to a bay. If the gal would have told me to do that, I would have. I obtained my keys and left. I have been there many times, 4 cars in winter for snow tires and 4 cars in spring for regular cars as well as I bought some studded snow tires from them. I do not think I will be going back. I used to go to tires plus in Sparks (always did a good job, but it is a little far away) I may be going back there where I am treated better read more

I've used Les Schwab in Reno several times for service and tire purchases but haven't written a review, so I decided it was high time to do so. Every time I've dealt with this establishment, the counter people and technicians have displayed the type of professionalism and politeness that one should expect from any service provider. I couldn't be happier with the clarity with which they explain services rendered and the excellence with which they perform the services. Today, I arrived after closing time--my fault for not checking their hours--but the staff was still there allowing customers to pick up their vehicles. I was particularly impressed when I witnessed the guy at the counter--I can't remember his name--said to the mechanics as they were leaving the building, "Thanks, you guys. We needed to get snow tires on our vehicle quickly. We called to verify they had tires in stock that fit our vehicle, which is always a trick. They verified they did, in fact, have what we needed, and told us to bring it in whenever. We took it down there, and they instantly had somebody at the counter to assist us with our purchase. They got the tires on and ready for us to pick up within a two-hour window. Check out was simple, and service was excellent. These guys are always a good bet. read more

Went in today to get new tires for my Outback. I had a great experience and am very happy with the store. I have purchased tires from LS previously but I have not been to this specific store prior to today. They work hard to get the job done, being very respectful of my time. The new tires were installed and also an alignment check was completed all in a very reasonable amount of time. The tires (Reputation) perform well on the car too. Handling and road noise are excellent. I'll test out the winter traction in the next snow storm. All in all, I'm very happy with LS and this store in particular. Keep up the great work! read more

I bought black rims a year ago in my hometown Reno and then moved to a country out in Texas. A rather dirty existence pretty much trashed my rims. Had them rotated & balanced there. It was done in a very crude manner. Silver weights were put on black rims haphazardly. Paper backing was left from former stickers. Rims were left dusty & uncleaned first or at all before applying the new silver on top of each other I might add. Further, driving on the country roads made the treads filled with little tiny pebbles which looked unsightly & really chewed up the tread. I moved back to Reno a week ago. Visited Les Schwab immediately. Nick and Aaron picked out all the little pebbles, cleaned the rims & re-balanced with black weights.
