I am one of the people Titan Consulting Group stole money from me and never deliver but then I never get my money back. The BBB also have my complaints at time a BBB d nithing happened. I paid over $3000.00 towards my cerdit card debt and esch time I asked Titan when they would start negotiating with my creditor, they always gave excuses and do many things. I had a rep working with at the time and he later told me the company wss in trouble at the time. Even probably might be closing. The guy also sent email to some top executive and copied me but again nothing happened. I am a victim and not a rich person. I am struggling to make ends meet. That was one of the worst time in my life. Have nothing and was still took advantage of by Titan Cosulting Group. I can still use my money back. The BBB also gave up and said nothing anymore. I will never recommend such company. Reading this might mean nothing to you because you are not in my shoes at the time and probably not now either. I received a notice stating I was pre approved for $26k for a PERSONAL LOAN- I spoke with the rep who by the way took 4 days to get someone on the phone!!! he then tells me he can get me a personal loan- I told him I am NOT INTERESTED in a DEBT CONSOLIDATION PROGRAM since that only ruins your credit more since you have to stop making payments to your creditors for at least 3 months and be in a negative status with your creditors and I have great credit just looking to do 1 payment monthly not to a lot of creditors like I do now. I have excellent payment history, never late, etc... Low and behold he tells me a few hours later they would be looking to do the debt consolidation program...WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!! After I posted my initial review, I received a phone from the company almost 2 weeks later. By then, arrangements were in the works to pay off the last acct. They did remove a very small portion of the fees. Again, I did go from $24,000 to $0 in debt but it was alot of stress dealing with them. I kept track which accts were paid off. I felt like I was constantly reviewing this with them every time. They had many people moving around on my acct and contacting creditors. One of which, screwed up big time. If u have a lump sum of money and a lot of debt, they can reduce your debt significantly. I will say that. If you want to ruin your credit By letting all your accounts go 90 days past due in the collections before they Start paying on your behalf then go for it but there's no guarantee their using your money for that and there's no guarantee they are using all of your money to pay down these balances they take a very large fee for themselves. For example if your $5000 behind on a credit card and they tell you they can settle it for $3000 than they are actually settling the account for $2400 keeping a 20% commission for themselves so your giving them $600 your credit report will show that account was settled and not paid off in good standing. Have to say at first I though they were going to be of help. Titan on one side did very well but on the backside, as David mentioned, things were not as I expected. Titan turns you over to a law office and you are put on hold like with most other law offices. Let's just say you are only as good as the weakest link. In my case I ended up getting an attorney and filing bankruptcy. Thanks for nothing. Well, it is tempting to put 3 stars, but I am choosing 4 out of respect for Mike who spent a lot of time fielding all my questions. (Thanks again Mike) After my initial call yesterday, I was pretty excited about this service and wanted to give Mike a 5-star rating, but after gathering some 2nd opinions, and reading around on the internet, I began to worry a little more. I spoke with him again today, and he was helpful, but I still felt that my concerns were valid enough for me to delay doing business with this company. At least, for now. I will say, it seems this company provides a valuable service in the form of "credit card modification" (something similar to "debt settlement", but with installments), and I encourage others to at least consider it as an option. They ultimately are able to get lawyers to negotiate with creditors in order to reduce your debt. At the end of the day, however, I felt that they were not entirely upfront / proactive, or perhaps, knowledgeable on the full effects of how using their services could impact my credit. My main concern was, if I use their services, will I be able to get my credit back up high enough to get a house loan in order to buy a house one day? They were able to give their best guesses as to what the number of my credit score could be, but I felt they were not fully disclosing the ramifications, at least on a level that I could understand. (which may be my fault, I know! This is all very new to me) For instance, they would say something like, "if you do credit card modification, it appears on your credit report as 'paid as agreed / 0 balance'" but to the average Joe like me, that is sort of gibberish. How will the credit card company interpret that in the future? (1, 5, or 20 years from now?) I think the common sense is to recognize that, more than likely, there will be lasting credit ramifications of using their services. I would be interested in hearing any testimonials of other people in this regard, good or bad. Saving money is good, but saving money while also really hurting your credit, might not be worth it in the long run. I may still use their services one day. I can not even begin to tell you how effective Titan Consulting Group was for me!!! Some how somebody got a hold of my Social Security Number and was able to gain access to a credit card. Needless to say they ran up quite the bill unbeknownst to me. Well I was never privy to this until I went for a mortgage and the bank informed me of the delinquency, and that it was severely affecting my credit score and keeping me from getting my mortgage. I was lucky enough to have heard of the great job they had done for some of my customers in the past so I immediately called them.
