Since then, I've reluctantly used them because a small recruiter business utilizes Apple One for their payroll. Apple One, like all recruiters, take far more out of my pay than they deserve. Between 40-60% of the pay received from the on-site employer is taken by the recruiter. Complaints about dealing with Apple One in the past few years include... too many cooks in the kitchen. Things get passed around to different people. They no longer answer their phones during business hours. Apple One does not give paper payroll statements. Payroll statements downloaded from their site are unclear. Payroll statements do not clearly convey the breakdown of what is lost in the employee's payroll. For instance, their math and line items make it look like non-taxable "earnings" are taxed. I also don't appreciate that they did not send a paper tax statement in the mail like I had marked in my online time card/tax documents profile. When I was preparing my tax returns, I had to tell them to mail it to me. Then they required a form for me to get my paper tax statement. I have no intentions of utilizing their services in the future.

Certified Employment Group:…read more I rated (4) stars on the count of finding suitable employment. This rating differs from my personal experience overall when it comes to recruiters. I also have several other areas of feedback, which I'll highlight in this review. (1): I originally started with recruiter, Stacy Halstead (I believe that's her last name), and felt comfortable with her. I was disappointed that she left Certified without even informing me. I learned of her departure through new-to-me recruiter, Evelyn Price. I've never met Evelyn but she informed me that she was taking over for Stacy. She was able to find a temporary assignment for me which I was very thankful for. The assignment lasted (7) months and came to an end being that the company no longer needed my assistance. It was a success. Shortly before that assignment ended I started noticing Evelyn wasn't communicating as much as she had in the beginning (again, I still haven't met her in person as of yet). And for whatever reason, each time I would email Evelyn, I would get a response from another recruiter, Tori Steel. I have zero idea who she is (never met her either) and/or why she's all of a sudden communicating with me instead of whom I thought was and should be my primary recruiter. It seemed as if contacting Evelyn was immediately met with "you need to contact me moving forward" with no explanation or understanding as why this change and why hasn't Evelyn communicated with me if she was transitioning away from recruiting. As someone with past recruiting experience communication is important in every aspect, but it was lacking in this case. (2): My experience with Tori Steel has also been disappointing because her communication is poor. She forgets various pieces of information that has been transmitted to her, and she usually never responds or follows up to past emails. Maybe she's new? I don't know, but this has been my experience with her to date. (3): This section of feedback relates to the poor/basic website that Certified functions on. The timecard feature is extremely poor, confusing at first and only allows time allotment of (15) minute increments which is frustrating because working on assignment, time isn't measured by this formula. The layout and functionality of Certified's website needs improvement/restructuring. (4): Finally, the staffing agency does not provide holiday pay. This is something at the very least that they should offer for major holidays IF an employee has worked a certain amount of qualifying hours. This issue causes one to lose a whole day's pay, and it reflects in one's paycheck. The staffing company should really consider providing this to its employees.
