I've been a member of Title Boxing in Woodbury, MN for over five years and have always loved the strong community, excellent coaches, and great workouts. Unfortunately, corporate has decided to close the Woodbury location and redirect members to Edina. While relocating might be acceptable for some, the real issue is the lack of flexibility: longtime members like me can't cancel their memberships via the app. This creates a frustrating situation. Staff at the club are unable to assist, corporate redirects inquiries back to the club, and online chat support offers no resolution. It's during moments like these--when a customer seeks to cancel--that a company's true character is revealed. Sadly, Title Boxing is not showing its best side. read more

The coaches here are genuinely fantastic knowledgeable, motivating, and a big reason why I kept showing up. However, I strongly advise against signing up for a membership directly through the studio. Go through ClassPass or another platform if you can. I was a member for 5 years, but for the last year the app stopped working properly, preventing me from viewing the class schedule or reserving spots in advance. I brought this up several times in person, but staff were unable to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, when I finally decided to cancel, I was charged for an additional month, despite all the hassle. I wish I had gone in sooner! Kevin, the manager, is lively and passionate about boxing, and wants to help you find your why. Your hand wraps are $10, the first class is free. Very clean facility. I've been looking for a cardio I can stick to, and I think this is it! A lot of fun, and you control how intense you go. I have a nagging injury and I'm able to modify without judgement or criticism which is a good thing! Classes are fine but don't get trapped in their month to month membership. They need you to come to studio to sign a waiver, they will try to get you to put on hold instead so they can keep getting your money and then you need to pay another month of fees ahead of time. Without a doubt, this is the best gym I've ever been to. I've tried several other gyms, but never found one that I liked or one that I enjoyed going to on a regular basis. From day one, Title Boxing stood out from all of the rest and had me hooked from my first class! I joined Title Boxing over two years ago and it was honestly one of the best decision I've ever made. Not only is it an amazing workout, but I'm learning skills that I will have with me for the rest of my life. Kevin, the club manager, is a great person and always very friendly when I walk in the door. He's also a helpful trainer and is always very encouraging! Aaron, the regional manager, it's also fantastic. His experience and expertise is remarkable and he does a great job both coaching and managing. I always get excited when Aaron subs in for a class, because I know it's going to be a good one! All of the Boxing trainers are incredible, but a few of my favorites are Haylee, Manny, Brady, and Cody. Every trainer has their own unique style, so it's fun to go to a variety of different classes. I've loved the classes so much that I started investing in one-on-one personal training to learn kickboxing with Haylee. I cannot say enough good things about her and how much I have loved training with her! She's an amazing coach and an excellent teacher. I've learned so much working with her and look forward to every single session. If you're thinking about trying a boxing fitness gym, this is your place. Came in on a whim as my son was interested in learning to throw a punch. Son (5), daughter(10) and myself (late 30s :D ) came in for an intro class. Ross the GM? (manager?) was a great help in getting us situated with loaner gloves for my kids (6oz) The workout: * I personally had a great one and my kids had fun and broke a decent sweat. I workout fairly consistently (4-5x a wk) at a typical gym and have some fight experience. The workout was as good as the effort put into it. Facilities: * Plenty of heavy bags for the session and plenty of room to maneuver around the bags. * Has a shower and a small weight area ( would be enough equipment to get a normal lift session in) with tread and row, 2 speed bags and a double end (but double end doesn't seem like a lot of room to maneuver around) * Everything was clean and well maintained (including restroom). Cons: *Instructor for the class didn't give any individual tips or actual punching or footwork instruction to push/motivate Will update my review in a few months as I believe we'll be signing up for some 1-1 small sessions as i want my little ones to get some actual instruction as they don't always listen to dad. overall: If you're looking for a good workout and are able to motivate yourself, this is a great alternative to just running on a treadmill if that's getting repetitive but i would consider looking elsewhere if you're looking for a traditional fight gym read more

I have only been to one work out here, but they have very friendly employees. The guy at the front desk helped me get my free workout and wrapped my hands with tape. It will cost you $10 for your own tape but they will lend you boxing gloves for free. Then the class instructor worked with me one on one for about 10 minutes to teach me all the moves. Show up early for all of this, I would suggest a half hour. Then the workout started. I did get a little overwhelmed but there was another employee who was also working out in the class to help me, and the front desk guy also came around and helped people individually. Towards the end when my brain got muddled I just started hitting the bag without worrying if I was doing the exact moves. There was an ab routine and stretch at the end. I got all sweaty and was sore the next day for sure: legs, abs, chest and arms. If I remember right, the eight workouts a month package was around $80. It can't hurt to go and then try out a free workout! read more

This gym has gone down hill since management changes happened over the last 2 months. The gym is rarely cleaned. Especially the boxing mat area. The previous manager used to mop the floor between classes. Now, they claim they mop between classes, when you bring cleanliness concerns to their attention. Yet, they fail to recognize that customers are often there early for their class - before the prior class ends - and can see that no one is cleaning. The way the female at the front desk invalidates your experience and concerns and compares it to her own experience is not how customer service concerns should not be handled. In addition, since management changes, most of the instructors that were well liked and well attended have been let go and have yet to be put back on the schedule as promised. The pajama and super hero days feel more like pandering to daycare children than trying to provide the members the level of experience they have come to expect and grown to love. Wow!! This workout kicked my butt!! Left sweating and I know I will feel that "good sore" tomorrow. I'm not a professional boxer and this is my 2nd time boxing so I was a little intimidated when I arrived. I was assisted with my hand wraps/gloves and got started! What was nice was that our trainer, Jameson, walked around making sure we had good form and if he saw you struggling he would take time to assist you. Also I noticed that there were people that were more experienced than me and he can and did rounds with them! Anyways, it was a challenging workout for about 55 mins and then at the end abs with a medicine ball, crunches, etc. Left very sweaty and tired but in a good way! Don't freak out, TITLE. Yes, it's a four star review, that doesn't mean you're not good enough, it just means you can get even better. Next to the drinking fountain, I saw the sign asking your members to give you another five star review on Facebook or Google. I guess folks can be a tad more uppity on the Yelp machine. The sole workout I enjoyed at your gym was an enjoyable ride, and I want to go back. Seriously, four stars is really good. Just an FYI, I regularly attend kickboxing/conditioning classes at home, so I'm used to these workouts. TITLE wins on several fronts. The sessions are precisely timed and executed; Anna, the instructor, was a total pro, her "flow" -- knowledge of the program, the combinations, various exercises -- was almost too smooth. She kept us moving for a solid hour, pounding the bags, running mini-laps, I think she had something of an east coast accent, I dunno, she pronounced "jab" kinda "gee-ab", I liked her. At the end of the workout she invited us to come back for another class before we left Minneapolis, that was cool, too. I originally contacted this gym via their website, and the guy who called me, to register me for a class, was really nice, too. Make no mistake, if you're wondering whether TITLE is right for you, go take a free class. Maybe a couple. They're good with it. When I review gyms, I rely on a simple test for the ultimate verdict: the t-shirt sweat test. I'm an exceptionally disgusting creature, super warm-blooded, so a good workout, simply put, leaves me soaked. TITLE left me a tad drippy. My vote: push us harder. More pushups, situps, burpees. I was also surprised that, on a somewhat busy Sunday morning, Anna appeared to be the sole employee running the show. It's a big gym with plenty of apparati for gym rats, another staffer would probably help. Thanks for loaning us the gloves, they totally worked. I absolutely love Title! Though I'm no longer a member (tore my IT Band in my knee & had to quit...) I have nothing but fond memories of Title and am looking forward to coming back in the near future when I have more time/physical ability. - This workout kicks your a**. Like, I'm not a sweater, and I am DRENCHED leaving this place. I can't even imagine how many calories I must be burning... - Don't know how to box? That's fine! They start every class with a run-through of all the punches (or kicks). No need to be knowledgeable in the sport whatsoever. We're all here to learn! - All are welcome here. There was a regular back when I trained here who was in his 70s. Some moms would bring their pre-teen kids... So whether you're young, old, experienced, inexperienced, obese, or a bodybuilder, the trainers here make you feel comfortable & respected. - The trainers push you, but they don't punish you. You aren't going to get called-out or barked at for taking a break. If you have to do knee-push-ups instead of regular push-ups no one will bat an eye. If you're slower than the rest of the group, that's fine, just do the best you can while maintaining your form... They're encouraging but they don't make you feel like a wuss if you aren't on the same level as someone else. - They also have free weights and other regular gym equipment so your membership isn't exclusively for classes - take advantage of those rowing machines and kettlebells! I could keep rambling, but those are some of my favorite perks of this gym... So give Title a shot; your first class is FREE! read more

This a great gym. I joined about three months ago and have been going 2-3 times per week. I am getting a lot out of it. The member service staff are friendly and helpful. They are usually available to answer questions or check out supplies. The trainers are engaging and encouraging and don't push you too hard, but won't let you go easy on yourself. Some trainers/coaches are more experienced than others and it shows, but the experience overall has been very worth my my time and money. The gym has most of what I would need, and it uses the space well enough. Seldom do I feel like it's packed, but sometimes I have to wait for a machine or set of bells, but I come here to box, so the weights are not my focus. More benches & treadmills would nice, if I'm looking to critique. I was very intimidated to try this place out, but my company sent a bunch of us there for a class, so I figured I would give it a try. The instructor made the workout hard, but not embarrassing. I stayed around (mainly to hydrate up) while the next class started and it was the same way. There was a wide range of skill sets and that didn't matter! You weren't feeling you might stand out if you aren't so great because you are all working your butt off! They keep you motivated and you are drenched in sweat at the end. I think I've finally found what I'm looking for at Title Boxing Club! So far, every person that I have been in contact with at Title Boxing Club in Edina has been helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I have zero boxing experience but that wasn't a concern for me because it is a no-contact, non-sparring gym. It's just you and the bag which really gives you the chance to stay focused, work on your technique, and give 110% during the class. I personally like the set-up and class structure. I'm a fan of group classes because I like to feel motivated by those around me, which is exactly what the atmosphere of a Title Boxing class gives you. I like that the trainers weave through the rows of bags throughout the class to give individuals feedback, advice, and encouragement. I took my first class on Friday with Casey who was a great trainer to work with. He explained the basics, had a good pace, and had me sweating by the end of the 15 minute warm-up. Took a Saturday morning class with Remy who was also an awesome trainer. I loved Remy's energy, high intensity, fast pace - and playlist. Being a new member, I can't wait to take a class with all of the trainers to see their style and intensity level. This is a great stress reliever (even if you didn't know you needed it)! I love leaving feeling like I accomplished a good, challenging workout and feeling myself get stronger. Nice, friendly, non-intimidating gym in the business area of Edina. I've been working out here since January 2015. The place is as clean a work-out facility as I have ever seen. Great club with great classes and great trainers. The place is always clean and the 6am classes have just the right amount of people in them and always fun. The trainers are all different but make sure you are working hard and boxing correctly. Drew really encourages you and it starts the day off right and is really easy going. Jamison and Aaron really know boxing and correct your form when needed. Even if you have never boxed before, these classes make you sweat and burn a lot of calories. Highly recommend it to everyone. Only one suggestion I would make would offer some kickboxing classes every now and then rather than just boxing. read more

Best workout I've ever done - and I've tried just about everything. Coming from a football/strength training background, boxing really wasn't something that I was familiar with. The trainers were great at introducing me to the basic movements and punches so that I didn't feel overwhelmed or confused during class. It didn't take long before I was stringing together "complex" combos and keeping pace with the rest of the class. Within a couple weeks I started to notice new muscle development in many places where I was not used to seeing them, which was very exciting. The workouts stress the entire body, not just arms, which was actually surprise and relief during my first class (I assumed boxing was all arms and shoulders - how wrong I was). As someone who once looked down on personal training or structured workout classes, this really changed my perception and the results speak for themselves. Going to class 3-4 times per week allows me to literally burn up to 4,000 calories weekly. Traditional running science would tell you that at my weight I would have to run about 30 miles per week to burn the same amount of calories....no thank you. Typical classes seem to be about 50% female and 50% male ratio. Members appear to span all ages and abilities as well. If you're looking to lose weight, get ripped, learn basic self-defense moves - whatever your goal, give it a shot. It's probably unlike any workout you've ever tried. One thing's for sure: they will make you sweat. read more

Really love this place. I have been working out for almost a year at Title. I have been both to the Edina and Minneapolis location. I like the Edina location since it is bigger. Aaron Ling's classes are the best! He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, skillful, and helpful. He is a great personal trainer as well and I enjoy my 1 on 1 sessions with him. I highly recommend learning from Aaron. There is a lot to learn about boxing and he has really guided me. Boxing truly works every muscle in your body and there is a lot to learn but if you stick with it you will accomplish great things. read more

Hook, jab, cross ... Holy heck... Keep going! This place is fantastic! I've been coming here for about a month now and can definitely see a change in my body. I was a cross fitter and hitt person for years and recently my knees started to bother me. My boyfriend ended up getting me a 2 week groupon to try kickboxing so he could stop hearing about my body falling apart... Smart man, and I found a new love! The power hour classes burn about 1000 calories and you are sweating within about 5 minutes. There last about a 15 minute ab workout after which is brutal and you are always doing new stuff. All of the trainers are really helpful and work with you to make sure your form is good and you keep your momentum. Aaron is great, his classes are probably the hardest and he's the only one that teaches kick boxing which is Tuesday's and Saturday. He's also super energetic and makes you want to work harder. His ab workouts are the best and tear you up! Michelle "jabs" teaches a lot of the evening classes at 7 pm and pulls a lot of cardio and drill and partner training to get you moving. "Jesus" Is really tough. I've been to a few of his classes and I would say he's hook happy:) ha! My back is sore as he works a lot of power and hard hits in his class. Remy teaches Saturday and some night classes and works you higher on the bad which exhausts my shoulders and he does a lot of speed work to burn you out. Melissa is super fun and a treat if you get her. She teaches during the day so I haven't had her a lot but she's adorable and funny and full of energy! Great instructor if you can swing her hours. All in all, I love this gym. So get off your butt and check it out! You get one free class if you decide your up for the challenge and want to try something new! read more

Title Boxing Club in Pensacola Florida is a place that scams you out of your money!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE SHARE TO GET THE WORD OUT!!!!!!!! Background: Was down in Florida on military and went in to sign up for a one month membership. I specifically explained I was only there for one more month and I was told they do a month to month but I could PREPAY FOR ONE MONTH and that I WOULD JUST BE CHARGED THAT ONCE. I WAS EVEN TOLD THEY WORK WITH THE MILITARY "ALL THE TIME" I asked if there was anything else they needed from me and was told nope you'll just be charged today and you're all set. Fast forward A MONTH LATER I am back in Massachusetts and I GET CHARGED 118 DOLLARS from PENSACOLA TITLE BOXING CLUB. I called and got the run around and no calls back, no answering machine to leave messages. By the time I called and got a response MY CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED AGAIN. I finally got them to cancel my membership and they told me they wouldn't give me back my money because I signed up for a MONTH to MONTH. Took a free intro class, and was immediately drawn to the workout. I had never thrown a punch in my life before the workout, but the instructor showed me the basics before the start. I wasn't great, but that's true for anyone starting a sport or workout for the first time. The workout intensity is awesome. While you can pace yourself if you need to, you will be pushed to improve by the instructors. The other attendees are all awesome people, and I've made some awesome friends in my first month. With the right trainer you can have an intense and good workout. It is good on the core and kick boxing is definitely what you want to do, the boxing got repetitive for me. In general the trainers were always welcoming and gave feedback on technique. Ross the manager is a great guy. Facility is good and functional. The things I have an issue with is its limited schedule (kick boxing for example). I was used to another local workout facility that had many locations and classes starting on the hour from 6am-8:30pm. The other thing I disliked is the general intensity and motivation of the students. It seemed like a last resort work out facility for about 50% of the people, the remaining were boxers, want to be boxers and athletes (the smallest percentage). If you want to workout with people with intensity, goals and that provide motivation to burn 1,000 calories you'll need to go somewhere else or look really hard for a class of like minded people. I wish they had a payment option for single classes because I do enjoy it, just in small amounts (4x a month). read more

I've taken 2 classes so far; boxing and kickboxing. Both were an hour long. 15 mins of warm up, 8 3 minute rounds with maybe 20 seconds of rest in between, and 10 - 15 mins of core and stretching. That's an intense pace for anyone. Your heart will be jacked, you will sweat, you will feel accomplished at the end of the workout. If you couple that with correct diet and nutrition you will lose weight. Regardless, you will get stronger. Oh and the facility is large. Like 50+ heavy bags, that's crazy! Plenty of room. Active fighters would benefit from the cardio. 2-3 weeks and I'll feel in fighting shape again. read more
