Cardio is hardio but man this is cardio on steroids. I've been looking for spicy new workout regimen and not only do I get to burn hella calories (I would estimate at least 500 calories per 45 min) but it's a nice way to let out some stress after a crazy day at work. This place is starting to become a second home. I tried a few classes (first one is free) with a friend and before I knew it, they had a black Friday Sale and bought a year unlimited pass. The sales person was also the instructor that day and he was not pressuring at all. He wrapped my hands up for me and went over all the basic punches before class started so that I would be prepared for how the class went. So the basic format of the class is a warm up, 9 rounds of 3 minute boxing intervals then core. You can leave anytime without shame. Class times I've seen as early as 5am and as late as 8pm 7 days of the week and even a lunch time class. Classes can range from as little as 30 min to 75 min. Not only are their just boxing classes, but there is also kickboxing, strength training, personal training and MMA! I will say there are some instructors that are better than others in my opinion and some who play better music to get you pumped than others as well. Some teachers are more motivating than others, none are military and belittle you, they are all to get your mindset to work harder, which I appreciate. Inside also boasts some workout apparel, bottled water to purchase, plenty of locker space, separate male/female bathrooms and changing areas. Want to warm up? There's tons of medicine balls, dumbbells, kettle bells, bench press set, pull up bar etc. Things to bring: water bottle (they have water to fill your bottle there), towel, hand wraps (you can buys some there) and gloves (you can borrow a pair from them for your first class). Also if it is a bad weather day, they ask you bring a second pair of shoes for inside the gym and leave your snow boots at front of the gym. So there are at least 6 other Title Boxing gyms within 20-30 miles from me and I've only been to Highland Heights since it's close to my boyfriend's house. Shares a parking lot in a mini strip mall so plenty of parking! I tried once to go the one in Ohio City which does not have a parking lot so you have to park on the street. I could not find parking after 30 min so I ended up just going to my own gym to work out. I tell everyone about this place and have gotten a ton of friends to try this out. There's something awe-inspiring about rows and rows of punching bags mixed with the smell of sweaty boxing gloves. I came with a friend for my first ever boxing/conditioning class, and boy did I get a workout! If you're new, the first class is always free - just bring $5 for a pair of hand wraps (in a variety of colors!). You can borrow a pair of communal boxing gloves and set yourself up in front of a punching bag. Remember that the gloves are COMMUNAL, so they're not the nicest smelling things. However, I was assured that they Lysol wipe them down as best as they can in between uses. After filling out a check-in form, one of the staff members wrapped my hands and showed me the basic punches. The class itself consisted of cardio, strength, and 30 minutes of boxing with the heavy bag. A water bottle is highly suggested, as you do get breaks in between rounds. If you're one that waterfall sweats, you might want to bring a small towel. And if you don't like lying on the ground for core exercises, bring a yoga mat. There's a lot of jumping during the workout, so it might not be the best option if you can't do high-impact exercises. Most of the clientele the evening I went were young adult to middle aged women, with a few men in the mix. Everyone was pretty nice but did their own thing. This was absolutely preferable to me because I'm pretty sure I looked like the court jester for the first 30 minutes of the class (and probably the last 30), but I definitely felt the workout for the next few days. Our instructor was fast-talking since most of the attendees were repeats, and it was kind of hard to see her through the grid of bags, but you can pick up the movements by watching others around you and there's no flack given if you don't do everything perfectly or have to modify a move for your comfort level. If this gym were closer and not so $$, I'd probably come here at least a few times a month. Definitely something to check out for people wanting to up their fitness game and try something different! read more

If you go to one of the workouts at Title Boxing Club, you are guaranteed to get your butt kicked by one of the toughest workout classes around! Classes are the same format every time, despite the instructor. Some instructors are tougher than others though (in particular, Casey, Evan, and Pat's classes are pretty hard). Classes start with a 15-minute warm-up (this is the hardest part of the class, think burpees, squats, pushups, etc. nonstop for 15 minutes!!), followed by 8 rounds of different combinations of punching the bag (from what I remember, these rounds are ~ 3 minutes long each), followed by a "cool-down" round of mostly ab exercises. Intense! You can drop in to individual classes (~$20) or buy a membership. An insider tip is to start your membership around January 1st because there are usually some good deals. You don't need to call in advance to reserve a spot, but try to get there a few minutes early to pick a punching bag and put wraps around your hands. You don't need to have boxing gloves or hand wraps the first time you go (you can buy the wraps for around $5 and borrow the gloves), though if you are going to attend more than 1 class, I'd advise investing in some (the gloves they lend you can be a little stinky!) read more

I am absolutely thrilled with Title Boxing Club in Highland Heights! Found it via Groupon for a two week trial that my bf and I purchased for a bargain. The first class was an eye opener for me. It was super hard as I was really out of shape (but improving quickly now). Jumping Jacks, push-ups, sprawls, squats, lunges, mountain climbers coupled with 8 three minute rounds of smacking a person-sized bag hanging from the ceiling is what was in store for me. What was I thinking? I couldn't do these activities. I barely could do a "girl" version. of a push up. Now, five weeks later, ten pounds lighter and much stronger, I look forward-yes that's right- to going to class. An hour's worth of core- strengthening, adrenalin-pumping, sweat-generating physical activity consumes me, yet I leave longing for my return to do it again. It is hard to warm up - actually the whole hour is hard who am I kidding? One can make it as hard as one wants. It is great for all ages, all sizes, all fitness levels. I am truly amazed at how I have progressed so quickly. I feel stronger, more energetic and want to keep going. I need to mention that Casey and his trainers (DJ, Michael, Pat, Evan, William, Melanie, Matt) are all wonderful people. I always feel welcome there and they greet everyone with a smiling face, positive attitude and motivating demeanor. I'd give less than a star if I could. I had a terrible experience. I bought a year membership; and gloves. I was never given the gloves I paid for. Every time they ordered them for me (needed a bigger size) they gave them to some one else. This went on for 4 months or longer. I was called a liar by the manager at the time, and felt completely disrespected. I went back to cancel my membership and try to recovery some money but was told b/c I paid for 6 and got 6 months my paid 6 months came first. When I put a stop on my membership. I told them why and invited the owner to call me. I got nothing. This was 3 months ago. There is another brand new place in beechwood that I joined that is much more personal and the staff seems to care. read more

Just moved to the Cleveland Ohio area and found a gem of a boxing studio that will help me get back into shape! Title has a great atmosphere and plenty of options when it comes to training levels. There are some free weights in the back of the gym along with a treadmill and a bench for personal training. I do enjoy that they always involve some core work and a solid cool down after the butt kicking they just dealt out.. That and the 15 min warm up was just as intense! Also, Title uses the 6ft tall heavy bags and not those crappy water/air mix ones. read more

I have always had nothing but positive experiences here, however, a few months ago I put my membership on hold as I was not healthy all around (had some ankle and back problems). I was not aware that I was going to be charged out of the blue on a certain day, after not going back in to restart my classes. There was never a reminder email or anything, which was extremely frustrating. Now, I have been charged for a month of classes that I cannot even attend. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in Title because I have always loved coming here. I have cancelled my membership and will not be returning. Just wanted to post this to make all others aware if you are putting your membership on hold. Love the classes and instructors here, but I can not get over the service I have experienced. read more

I've been a member of TBC for about 1.5 years and I'm a big fan. It's a great workout that starts with 15 minutes of intense HIIT cardio and is followed by eight 3-minute rounds of boxing. At the end of the class, they will spend about 10 minutes on core and body weight strength. I really like how the class attracts such a wide variety of people. Some are clearly athletes, and others (like me) sometimes struggle to keep up. However, everyone is really supportive and welcoming of everyone else regardless of their fitness level. I am witholding one star because I feel like the quality of the workout is highly dependent on the individual trainers. Casey and Deanna are my favorite by far. Loved Pat. Loved Title. I was looking for a more intense boxing and conditioning class and I found it. The gym has plenty of room to move among the bags, which is great and lends itself to more movement in general around the bags and without worry of bumping into your neighbor. Running laps, jumping jacks, pushups, sprawls, burpees, mountain climbers, abs conditioning, med balls, be ready for it all...and I loved the boxing instruction and then the freestyle boxing element. The gym itself must be going through a renovation because it is a bit disorganized. I will be anxious to see what it morphs into. Dig it. Will go back for sure! Wear your own gloves or else you have to pick from a sweaty pair of loaners that are majorly sopping wet and stinky. No Bueno! read more

The ABSOLUTE BEST work out in CLEVELAND! I have never sweated so much in my life!!! Classes are 15 minute warmups, (jogging, jumping jacks, burpees/lombardis, bear crawls...similar to tapout/PX90 type drills or PE - then 30 minutes round of hitting the bag in various combos, (10 3 min rounds) the last 15 are medicine ball, ab work. It will leave you a quivering mass of jelly when its over. Hurts so good... no more counting the minutes on a treadmill. This 60 minute class is over before you know it with a 1,000 calories burned! Its totally addicting, tough, but fun. Trainers friendly, motivating, knowledgeable and play great music. Forget the big gyms it would take you years to accomplish what you could at title in a few months. Oh yha and best of all my kids (8 & 10 ) love the class too!!! read more

All the trainers are good, but you can go to the ones that you like best by checking the online website. This place in Highland Heights truly has so much to offer. The greatest feeling for me is right when I finish a class at 6am, and I'm thinking the rest of the world is still sleeping. Great Workout!! This is a great gym for people who do not like traditional gyms/fitness classes or for people who do but want a change in their fitness routine. The boxing classes are the best cardio and strength training workouts I have ever experienced. Hitting the bag is also a great stress reliever. The gym is a very friendly and inviting place for people of all fitness levels. The staff is great. It is definitely worth a try (first workout is complimentary.) This place is a great workout beats going the gym hands down. After playing college soccer wanted to stay in shape and working out at the gym was boring. These classes ensure you get a great cardio workout and the trainers motivate you to get results. I am writing a review specific to the Title Boxing Club in Solon, OH: I was told before signing up that if anytime I needed to cancel, that I was able to do so freely. I asked this because I knew I might have the opportunity to move in the coming future. So when I tried to cancel my membership I was greeted by one of the rudest General Managers I have ever met (Kandace Kuhnle). She was condescending and blatantly mean about my need to cancel. I was then charged $49 dollars to cancel, and then had to pay $63 for a month of boxing which I would not be there for. She was unprofessional, and I would not recommend to anyone to join at this location. That being said, I thought the workout I received there was great. I am only extremely unhappy with their choice in management. read more

Title boxing club Highland Heights is an excellent club with a challenging, but rewarding workout with engaging trainers who keep the workouts refreshing. I greatly enjoy attending each trainers' class and getting a different workout everyday. The only way things that you will feel are the same is that you will workout as hard as you ever had and that you get to de-stress on a boxing bag. Good workout, bad business. I made sure prior to signing up what the rules were with freezing your account. (I was not going to drive there in the winter months, when I couldn't be sure the streets would be plowed at 5:30am.) They assured me there were no restrictions and it was free of charge. With six months of unused membership remaining they "changed their minds" and I am not allowed to freeze my account any more. NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR ANOTHER MONTH!! I love this gym! I signed up and have been going at it for over a month. I have lost 18 lbs and 10 inches across the board since May 1st. . The workouts are intense and the trainers do a good job modifying any exercises you may not physically be able to complete. Each trainer runs a different hour long class so you can go to the different classes to work on certain areas. Each of the trainers are highly motivated to help you accomplish your weight loss and toning goals. I highly recommend if you are looking for something other than a treadmill and conventional weight lifting! read more

Title boxing is a large fitness gym that recently opened in Highland Hts. The gym is spacious, clean and bright. There is an initiation fee as well as an auto debit to a credit card or checking account. The monthly fee is reasonable the initiation fee comes with some work out equipment for use in classes. Overall the initiation fee is high and the equipment provided with the fee is below average in quality. The works outs focus on boxing, kick boxing and cardio training. The staff is motivational, pleasant and upbeat. Everyone I encountered has been professional and polite. The gym is great for a high calorie, energetic, cardiovascular workout in a group setting although "one on ones" are available (personal training). If a high energy workout is what you are looking for this may be your place. If you want to learn the skills of boxing or kick boxing you'll need to look elsewhere. If you have trained at a boxing, MMA, or kick boxing gym this is not for you. It's for the casual cardio working. Will it burn calories? Sure will. Get you to the UFC? No, but that's not really there target audience. So overall for the money I'd go to a gym with better instruction so you can actually learn the skills of the sport while getting a great work out in. AS far as good for kids, I'd say yes for a fun workout but for skills, again no. read more

I really love belonging to TBCHH, it has changed my lifestyle for the better. I have never sweated so much while working out. The club offers a wide range of both male and female trainers. The trainers all have different personalities and teaching styles which keeps it interesting. I recently just started one on one circuit training sessions, these are intense and even more challenging than the classes. When I first started I could barely make it through a 60 minute session, now I am going 4-5x's a week. The energy is great there and all of the trainers are very helpful. read more

It's an amazing workout (burn almost 1000 calories per class). At Title you get a full boxing experience, 8 rounds of intense physical activity with brief periods of active rest. With these classes you are actually punching a bag so not only are you experiencing an intense workout but for me it's an excellent way to relieve stress and really focus on myself for that hour. The staff/trainers are amazing. They not only encourage & motivate you to live a healthier lifestyle but they encourage you to become a better person.
