Apparently I was at the wrong side for the line and the cashier made it very clear, even though I waited my turn and there was no one else. Whoever helped me was extremely rude and after she packaged my perfume threw my bag at me and said nothing. Maybe she had a bad day and felt she needed to make someone else feel shitty. I've been in customer service and sales a long time and this is exactly what to do when you don't want people back in your store. Then comes the predictable excuse: "It's too late to cancel because your order has already been scheduled to ship." Funny how that works, because three or four days later they'll send you another email saying they're experiencing delays and can't ship your order after all. So apparently it's "already shipping" when you want to cancel, but somehow it isn't actually shipping when they're the ones delaying it. That's not customer service--it's a convenient excuse to avoid cancellations. Bottom line: Victoria's Secret has become just another disappointing online retailer with poor customer service and questionable business practices. Save yourself the frustration and spend your money with a company that actually values its customers. Victoria's Secret simply isn't worth the time.
