During our initial meetings he came prepared with a comparative market analysis and gave us recommendations for getting our house ready for a quick sale. After one day of private showings, and one Open House, which Chris came fully prepared for, we had multiple offers. A quick sale it turned out to be (not even 72 hours later) and at top dollar! Chris made selling our home as painless as possible; we truly could not have been more pleased with the outcome! Next came the fun, albeit arduous task, of finding a new home. Chris was extremely patient with us, as we looked at several homes over the course of a few weeks. As we walked through homes, he was able to point out both positive and negative attributes that we may have otherwise missed. At times we had to bring our three young children along and Chris was more than flexible with us! Throughout both the home buying and selling process, Chris was ALWAYS very responsive to our many questions and many requests for showings. In this competitive market, we never waited more than 24 hours to see a house (unless it was out his hands due to seller's requests), and in many cases were able to see them same day. Evenings, weekends he made himself available! To me this is one of Chris' greatest assets--he never once made us feel like we weren't his top priority. I'm sure he is doing a juggling act with numerous clients, but you would never know it. He is professional, approachable, and above all else, reliable! Because their management is about as reckless as the individuals who worked there. They treated my sister like garbage. They ALLOWED her to rent space in a house that was unlivable. Didn't know that it was unlivable UNTIL I called the city of Livonia on the property that she was occupying to come look at the place. It was rendered condemned. Now prior to this discovery, this company was notified of the countless repairs requested to be done to the property to little to l no avail until the roof collapsed in my nieces room. Her bedroom furniture was destroyed. And also mold was found. And was supposed to be repaired. The room was not repaired at all! They wanted receipts for my nieces bedroom, to where there weren't any available because she had this bed set for a long time! Also, they tried to charge her for a water bill that was sky high due to a bursted pipe that was under the house, the bill is typically low but I asked them and my family asked them how is a bill low one month and sky high the next month then back to the regular rate with no real explanation, but on the water bill it explained it (due to repairs). When you walk throughout the house you can hear it. And THEN they were notified of a severe rodent problem that they didn't do a thing about that I had to pay for. But still wanted their rent on the first. Pictures of the property exists. So while all of this was going on my sister was in the hospital dealing with complications from a stroke, that nearly killed her, that they were made aware of because Kelly, the former manager knew about and this company knew about as well. Yet they still got their rent. So they tried to evict her. The city told them that they have to place her somewhere due to how they had my sister and her children living. To which they did and we're no longer there. But then I added myself to the temporary lease on the new place because they tried to weaponize her disability and her income against her. And this whole time i just wanted to give her and her kids the space to cope and deal with this new normal, and they helped make a difficult situation worse. Remember when y'all told the inspector that we were "her mouthpieces"? Because she had a stroke and it left her impaired and her FAMILY made sure things got done on her behalf! Kelly knew and i know y'all knew! I didn't forget just in case y'all did! Now they want money for a water bill but can't seem to refund me for the $898 from Orkin (who have just sent me an updated invoice) But i guess I have to play the games they're playing with me and my family. NHL has no soul, no integrity, no moral compass are beyond terrible when it comes to communication and resolution. Throughout this whole ordeal, I've been disgusted at the disregard and treatment of everyone involved. And to make matters worse I took them to court, won the settlement and they owe me money that I have not received in a year. How do you expect renters to pay you when you can't do it in return?
