They then too out $.10 to make sure our new card worked. On November 26; 2024. Allstate took out our payment. We are what they call the mile wise program as we do not drive that often. Jan. 3rd William Cantu with Allstate sent us an email stating they were going to soon take out a payment again. On January 16 they tried to take a payment out but used our old card. We were never notified that they payment did not go through. We did not pay attention as the last payment went just fine. On Jan.30th they cancelled our coverage. He never called us. We spent all week talking to him and proving that Allstate was in the wrong, but they refused to reinstate our car insurance. I would never recommend Allstate to anyone. If they can do this to a loyal customer who always paid on time. They can do this to you. I have all the proof from our bank acct and emails.

Unfortunately the rep I normally worked with moved on and since then the level of service has been far and away the worst service I've received from any insurance company I've dealt with and probably in the top five of all time bad experiences with any type of business. Every time I call the office they have an excuse as to why they cannot answer my question. Several times they said their computers were not working and would call me back though never did. I was told one time they needed to call Allstate to get more information and they would call me back though never did (I called them back two days later). Once I was told they had a power outage and they would have to call me back, they did call me back the next day though still did not have an answer to my question. The worst part of my entire experience over the last few years is the fact that when I call Allstate directly to discuss issues they automatically forward my call back to the agent. Whatever you do, take your business elsewhere!! There are many options when it comes to insurance agencies, this should not be one of them.

Treating matters as a "my problem" versus a how can I help (as your Farmers Agent) resolve the matter and follow through on "the problem" proved to be his pivot. His and his office's unwillingness to aid in the resolution, even of a former client, speaks to his seemed lack of professional integrity and while this may be a harsh criticism/accusation, he's chosen to let Farmers Corporate remedy with the matter and not to communicate with me. Synopsis of the rest of the story: Matt is knowledgeable and gained my business (auto, home, and rental properties) for the better part of 4 plus years--during which I absorbed annual rate increases, despite any claims on my part. Annually, at policy renewal time, we'd have a conversation regarding the rate increases and some of the peculiarities of the Farmers automated portal. I accepted his feedback and renewed my policies appreciating the "promoted personal agent experience." After running the numbers, yet again, I found Farmers to be less competitive than multiple other carriers and asked Matt for a policy review. While disappointed with his response of "show me the other quotes," I acquiesced. Matt offered no rebuttal other than this is what the industry does, extend "teaser quotes" to secure business. After which, they would raise their rates at the next available renewal offer. I believed this to be a parochial and anticipated response and decided to move to one of the other carriers. I communicated this to Matt both verbally and in writing, it was a cordial exchange. I received verbal and written confirmation from Matt that the cancelation transaction was completed, and the account would reconcile in approximately 7-14 days. Two months later, I started to receive Farmers auto renewal notices approaching. I reached out to Matt regarding the matter, and he indicted he'd need the cancelation correspondence to authenticate the transaction and halt the auto renewal process. After an email exchange with both he and a Mrs. Angelica Sanchez, he indicated the matter would be resolved as soon as possible. The policy auto renewed, and my CC was charged. Upon calling and emailing Matt's office, I was unable to get in contact with him directly and was diverted to, what I anticipate being, a Farmers Corporate Representative. The Corporate Representative received my information, the history (email threads), and my account of the matter and stated that the matter is/would be resolved in approximately 7-14 days. While I wait final resolution the approximate 7-14 days, I remain disappointed in Matt.

She denied our loan for a reason that no other ACE location has ever required (sharing a phone number), even though we had all the proper documents. To make it worse, she was selling those charity chocolate bars that are supposed to cost $1 each, but she literally marked out the "1" and wrote a "2" on the box. Pretty shady considering those are meant to raise money for kids, not for her personal tip jar. We ended up going to another ACE location nearby that processed everything correctly without issue.
