I once spent $50 on a double French braid here, as a way to manage my hair on a camping trip. The stylist, for one, was miserable, like my request was a burden to her, and two, she didn't use any product. Not a single one. I had to take the braids out within an hour because they looked so bad. I ended up paying a random person on the street $10 to re-braid my hair with love light and product, and it was gorgeous.

She did not apologize once and stated "I have kids I have no patience for this kind of thing". I then asked to speak to a manager who was unavailable so I asked if she could call me when she had time, it's been 4 months now she still hasn't called me. I then called cooperate who assured me they did not have an incoming call from my number on said date. I asked someone from cooperate management to call me I was assured someone would call me, again it's been 4 months and still nothing. This was the Rochester location. I have been to this location several times before this with no issues but this was very disheartening. Very sloppy business practice, not customer focused. Would not recommend!!

I went to Bare Element for my first ever dermaplaning appointment and had a great experience. The…read moreinside of the Greece location is small, but I was the only customer at the time so it wasn't crowded. Before the procedure, I filled out a waiver that explained what dermaplaning was and possible side effects, and I appreciated that they were honest about what the procedure entailed. The procedure itself took about 20 minutes (estimate) and just felt like someone scratching my skin a bit. It's hard to explain, but it was never uncomfortable. First your skin is cleansed and a hot towel is applied to soften skin before the procedure. After, I had the choice of a Vitamin C, collagen, or moisturizing sheet mask (I went with collagen), which was left on for about another 20 minutes. Finally, serums and creams were applied. I had brought my own sunscreen, but if you don't have any they will also apply that for you. Overall my experience was great and I would definitely re-book for another dermaplaning appointment!
