The only changes I found this weekend seeing two movies in two days were the butter is now self serve and the refills were discontinued. Wonderful! I really did not want a bunch of drastic changes because I love this theater just the way it is. The old app doesn't work but a new one is coming. The new website is up and running. Plus current showtimes are posted on the windows. Matinee ticket prices are $8 plus our refreshments for two people was only $22.

And while he never comes out and says "X is about Y", you start to connect some dots together with this film (as well as about eight million more dots appearing). The theater is a fairly intimate theater. I don't think there are more than 100 seats. There are four paintings throughout the theater and curtains along the side, presumably to help with the acoustics. Rest rooms are on the lower floor, and the lower floor also has several vintage movie posters. Venue was very clean and well kept, and staff was professional and attentive. It might not be worth a trip for Bloomington by itself, but it is great to include if you are visiting.

It was an accident, but one of the staff members also spilled beer on my granddaughter's dress as he was serving our food to our seats. But it was nice how he immediately apologized and went to get her some rags. Another thing to add was how the stalls in the women's bathroom closed poorlly and couldn't be locked. I ordered an old fashioned, at which point the gentleman behind the bar admitted, with full transparency, that he was not actually the bartender and would need to Google how to make it. I genuinely appreciated the honesty. In a galaxy full of people who would have just guessed and handed me something terrible, this man chose truth. I thanked him, switched my order to whiskey and coke, and we moved on as allies. From there we headed to concessions and ordered the Take it to the Greek wrap, the La Bamba pizza, and fries with little bits of steak on top. The food was good. Not life altering, not the kind of meal that makes you grab someone's arm and say nothing, just nodding, but genuinely solid movie theater food that arrived at our seats without us having to do anything except recline and wait. The seats reclined. There were actual tables. This is civilized. We watched Disclosure Day, which if you have any interest in extraterrestrial or UFO subject matter is absolutely worth your time. Sitting in a reclining leather seat watching a film about potential contact with beings from other worlds felt appropriately cinematic, even if the leather on most seats has seen better days. Chipping and worn in spots, which is the one visible crack in an otherwise well maintained experience. The theater itself was clean, the concept is fantastic, and the overall vibe delivered exactly what a day date calls for. Four stars. The bar needs an actual bartender on deck and the seats could use some attention, but Living Room Theater is still one of the better ways to spend an afternoon in Indianapolis.

I didn't get any during my visit, but maybe I should have. The soft drinks are dispensed at a machine off to the side, and you can pick your flavor of soda. Another neat thing that I noticed: You can order your concessions ahead of time, and they will be ready to be picked up at a little nook off to the side. This would come in handy if you want to skip waiting in line! I don't usually order food at a movie theatre, but I had some food credits burning a hole in my pocket, so I got chicken tenders, mini chocolate chip cookies and pretzel bites for my child. My child originally wanted the Bavarian pretzel, but we were informed that the pretzel is as big as a steering wheel, so we opted for the pretzel bites instead. Who is buying soft pretzels as big as steering wheels? That seems obscene to me. Just make them a normal size? The chicken tenders were actually really good. Maybe my expectations were low for these chicken tenders, but they were fresh and crispy, and you get six big tendies in an order, with your choice of sauce (I chose honey mustard). The mini cookies were served warm, but they tasted a little weird -- almost like they were baked on a pan that had something else on it previously, like chicken tenders. As far as the movie theatre itself: We must have been in one of the smaller theatres, because it felt a little tight in there. The fountain drink CUP was $6 compared to the bottle of Smartwater, which was $5 - we agree on the bottle water and she tells us she has small cups for water b/c we were ready to share the bottle...didn't we just ask you for cups for water? The place was huge. It was clean. It was fun. I went back to see No Way Home after a few years hiatus. It was trashed. It's almost like someone took their drink and spilled it from the entrance doors to their theater seat, refilled their cup, and did it again over every square inch of the place. I'll chalk it up to low staffing and late in the night. I hope they mopped. I'll do it for free it was so bad. There is another theater in town that is well known for its sticky floor. It's a small 2 screener. My whole life it was the cheap one so the jokes about the floor were fine. BUT THIS. This was worse. Staff are great, helpful, overall awesome people. I hope the AM shows the theater super clean, but wow, it was rough for that night. The drink fountains were a mess. I'm pretty sure a patron hit the ice machine and just kept their hand on it to be a loser. That's what I think mostly happened. Some kids and adults need supervision and their hand help. I hope they up their staff for cleaning and keeping an eye on the mess makers. It's the best theater in the area, so I hope they can turn it around.

The film quality is great, especially because it gets so dark out in the wooded area. You can always see a sky full of stars while the movies are playing (shooting stars have been seen)! Everything is affordable, all soda drinks and popcorn sizes have endless refills, and as you can see in the photo, you really don't need a refill if you get a large!! I highly recommend visiting for some movies if you get the chance.

The rows are super wide too. No one is directly in front of you or behind you. If you have a quiet conversation with anyone with you, it's more private and secluded. It's almost as comfy as being at home. I like the fact they are made of a non porous material. The head lice and bed bug incidents I would hear about once in awhile at theaters always creeped and grossed me out. It basically kept me out of movie theaters for the most part. Now I can feel more confident and secure about going so I can relax and concentrate on a great movie on the big screen.
