This is a pretty small TJ Maxx compared to the two I'm used to in San Francisco & Alameda. I came here while we were on a lengthy trip to Grandma's house - initially just for socks and some toys for my toddler since we were nearby... and of course, left with a lot more than I planned for. I bought a dancing plush Olaf toy, 3 children's board books (Frozen's Let it Go Play-a-Sound, Matilda, Peter Rabbit), a pair of Michael Kors shoes, an umbrella, a spatula for my Mom, play-doh...... oh, and socks. Well, I just double checked the price of the PLUSH TALKING & DANCING OLAF, which I paid $18.99 for before tax at TJ Maxx. I had seen this at Costco for $14.99 but it has been sold out at every branch I've visited since Christmas, so I figured it was worth the extra $4. Well, I just found the same toy on Amazon for $8.63. Bummer! I thought TJ Maxx's whole attraction was how great of a savings they featured on brand name items. TJ Maxx's prices have gone up significantly in recent years.. so much so it's hard to tell if you're really getting a good deal. I saw Nine West shoes for $34.99 that I've seen for as low as around $25 after discounts and promotional codes direct from Nine West. I also saw a Celine-lookalike Calvin Klein bag for $149.99 that I've seen elsewhere for $99.99. I will add that the two employees I interacted with were very friendly and genuinely helpful. I can't remember the name of the lady who helped me track down the price of a spatula but she looked for me in the store to make sure I got what I needed. I've been to a few TJ Max's in my life and generally I've enjoyed the experience but this particular location was not one of them. When I walked through the doors, I could feel the messy environment in the air. I went to the back to the kitchen & home area and it was just clutter on clutter. I couldn't find anything because everything was mixed up. Plastic wraps were ripped half-way, the containers will be with the kitchen pots and couch pillows. The organization of the place was zero to none. And when I was walking in the middle aisles between the clothes and home section, I noticed that several of the home section were placed with the clothes area which is even more confusing. Customer service wasn't as great either. I found what I needed and went to the register. The cashier flipped it upside down to scan the barcode and I saw some scratches, I asked if I could get a new one and he said "I actually have no clue if we have anymore" I knew there were more because I found them at the back of the store. Instead of checking, he just stood there. And no one was behind me waiting to check out. I know that Target would either walkie their team members to get a new one for me or they would check themselves. This was a complete disappointing experience. read more

I had a great shopping experience at my first visit to this TJ Maxx. I found a cute top and went to the fitting room to try it on. The attendant was friendly and the fitting rooms were clean. The entire store was organized and clean. The cashiers kept the line moving and they were also friendly. I would definitely return to this location! read more

I came here December 17th at 9:00 pm, I think because we were young and Hispanic, the employees and I think even the mangers have been following us around, I'm going to make sure to tweet and Instagram because I took pictures of the employees and manger. We have like 1 piece of article in our cart. lol. But I can hear them. I'm POSITIVE it had to do with my boyfriend being a dark Hispanic and the rest of us being Hispanic. The manger on duty had to make us the most uncomfortable, might as well just tap us on the shoulder and ask us too leave, we will stick to Marshall's. I went to the bathroom while my boyfriend paid, he said they still followed him up to the register making him extra uncomfortable. I can out of the restroom with and we left. read more

Really clean store, organized and decorated very well for the holidays. Staff was all very nice and friendly offering carts and help to the car. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that they don't have a lot of updated styles for clothing and accessories. read more

This TJ Maxx just opened up on Sunday. The sign is so big, you can't miss it. It's huge, brightly lit, and clean. The only drawback is that they don't have anything on clearance yet. read more

Horrible service! Avoid at all costs. I went to store to buy something cute for work because there's always great deals.During the middle of me shopping with a store full of customers a short heavyset woman comes screaming at me they are closed. I was shock because there was over 15 ppl in the store and I was singled out . It was very humiliating and degrading. read more

This Store seems ok. Good deals and Discount. Not so many people. Prices are decent and affordable better than other places in the mall. The only thing is the cleanliness in the store. Need to keep it better. The line cashier goes fast also. read more

After walking around the store for almost 45 minutes I had a cart full of things that I didn't necessarily have to have but was ready to purchase. I stood in line waiting with ONE register open for over 15 minutes, and I decided it was not worth my energy... great discounts but expect to wait in line!! no thanks... Nice new TJ Maxx. You know its new because its not yet taken on the organized chaos thats a trademark in most T.J. Maxx's. There are many stylish and cozy sweaters but they are lacking in the footwear department. There is not alot offered and what's there, in my opinion, is mostly the ugly shoes left behind. We've been coming here since they opened and usually have a good experience with friendly staff. Typically my wife will go try on clothes in their fitting rooms and will take me along for my opinion on how things look. Usually the gal at the fitting rooms will direct us into one of the large men's fitting rooms so I can be in there with my wife. However tonight was an unfortunate exception. The girl by the fitting rooms said we could not use the men's fitting rooms. Confused, we asked her why not and was told that is their policy. We asked what changed since two days beforehand, was there a different manager or something? The girl told us she would ask her manager and spoke with someone on the radio for a bit, then told us that her manager said we could not use the men's fitting room. My wife and I went ahead and returned one of the things we got two days before and paid for another item when guess who was working the register? The manager on duty! My wife asked the manager, "Vivian S." whether she told the fitting room clerk not to let us use the men's fitting rooms. Manager confirmed she gave those instructions and said it was because they have limited men's fitting rooms and had to save them. Note: there wasn't a single male in the store looking at clothing or by the fitting rooms. When it came time to do the return, the manager Vivian remarked that next time we needed to bring all receipts because 2 days prior we had both returned and purchased something on the same receipt. When my wife questioned why she would need to bring in the old receipts over a $3 item, the manager had the nerve to say, "because if we ask to return something more expensive next time WE would claim we didn't know! We can't believe how RUDE Manager Vivian S. was to us! She will drive business away. Poor management affects the entire store. The fitting room clerk was not a cheerful, helpful clerk like usual. Next time we will check first to see who the manager on duty is. If it's Vivian S., we'll come back another time or take our business elsewhere. read more

Poor customer service. After waiting in line made it to the checkout, I picked a cat scratch post up to pay and didn't notice it did not have a price tag. Actually I chose this item because the other cat post was damaged on the base. The cashier paged someone to get a price check, after ringing all my other items a associate to check the price still had not arrived. I was asked as the customer to go get the other item with the price. I agreed, but when I returned the cashier who began ringing another customer who rudely told me to go to another checkout. wait I was in line and in fact ahead of you. Lesson learned just wait and don't do the store's job. read more

I really love the staff and everyone is always super healthful. I will say that they don't carry as much as other tjmaxx stores. Especially the plus sizes! There is not even half of a rack to choose from and a lot of things are outdated. However when I do find a piece I love it's always a homerun. I just wish it was more often. read more

This TJ Maxx has the rudest, non-helpful employee that I have ever met. Brittney refused my return, on irregular sheet set with all the original packaging, receipt and within 30 day return policy...How is this person working there, let alone a so-called manager? I only went to this store, since it was close to my office but was told she would not exchange my merchandise and that I could go back to Tustin TJ Maxx, she would not return it at that location and walked away from me...I will report this store to their corporate office but will never return to this store..Thank you to Chino location on Grand and the manager Sandy for accepting my return and apologizing for the treatment I received from this horrible location .. read more

I usually come here on my lunch break from work because its so close and I am a HUGE tj maxx fan! Came here today and was pretty disappointed when I got the the cash register. I found this lamp at an AMAZING DEAL. Originally $39.99 and the tag was marked down to $16 dollars. The only thing that was missing was the top piece to hold the lamp shade down but I can make due and find that somewhere else. I got to the counter and the manager at the register starting checking my items out. She noticed that the lamp was marked so low and it was only marked down once before which is weird because it usually takes FOREVER for something to get marked that low. The lady gave me this weird vibe like she must of thought I put that tag on there to get a lower price because there is no way it should be that low type of deal. Did not appreciate that at all!!! Even though she didn't say anything I just got that feeling. 0 stars for the manager for making a customer feel like shit for getting a good deal. 5 stars for the worker marking it so low and for me getting such a good deal. read more

Horrible customer service,I was waiting for 30 minutes while one of the managers was looking for a piece of a product I was buying instead of giving me the discount . After waiting for so long they open up a second register and they make me wait for the cashier that was ringing me up in the beginning while she rings up someone that was buying about 10 pairs of jeans, 20 shirts, and who knows how many pairs of shoes.. I get the things I was going to buy and the cashier w the messed up eyebrows grabs the rest of my things and puts them on the counter behind her maybe thinking that I was going to walk out without buying them when I was just going to go to the next cashier.. So disrespectful. But really she should get her priorities straight with customers along with her eyebrows. read more

Brand new store, and it doesn't even deserve a single star. BOTH employees AND MANAGEMENT were unprofessional, making fun of customers while on the sales floor loud enough for many others to hear. Be prepared. You may be their next target! One particular employee, who has blue hair and has a bull ring his nose, walk at snail speed and drags clothes along the ground. I realize that we just finished the holiday season, however I have to say that tonight I stopped by after work to check out new items. The store is a wreck, disorganized and dirty. Everything looked beat up and should have been pulled off the floor. I found a sweater that I did like but snagged beyond repair. Stuff laying on the floor. The shoe department isn't sized or organized. The line to check out was so long with only 2 cashier's working. Where is the management team at. I am really disappointed in this location. I will go to Corona or Eastvale where you can actually shop in a clean environment. Obviously this store isn't up to participate with the old mall location that was beautiful and stocked properly. read more

I love TJ Maxx but this location is by far the worst one I've ever been too. The manager, I believe her name was Rebecca was very rude when asked about when new merchandise is stocked. Having a receipt in my hands, just because the product doesn't have the price any more I wasn't able to return the items (3) (Because she was not going to looks for the numbers, on each item ) ? (3) since when is that ? YANELY ! I can't believe your unprofessional and RUDENESS costumer service. This was by far one of the worst experiences ever. Standing in line here wth 1 cashier while 2 workers busy putting returns away and and talking while the line grew to 5 people, but of course, customers were not a priority. Terrible customer service - the poor cashier was new and the tow non-workers were her seniors. Turns out one of the two bad ones is a sup or manager. read more
