I interacted with TJ Morgan's Locksmiths thru a call to AAA when my car wouldn't start. They showed up in under 30 minutes. Their rep, "Shy" was professional and personable. I had expected to just get a jump start (it was what I had called for). Instead, Shy performed diagnostics on my car to verify that, in addition to a dead battery, my alternator and charging system had no problems that had led to the battery failure. Concluding it was indeed just a dead battery, he offered (no pressure) to sell me a replacement battery which he had with him, was a match for my vehicle and was comparable in price to other replacement batteries. They are a AAA battery service provider. I have used them before without issue, so when my battery died because I left the dash cam plugged in for several days, I used the AAA roadside App for battery service. This was the company to respond. There was a section to provide additional info in the app, which I did. At this point, it is noteworthy to state that I am a retired 30+ year ASE Master Technician, so I know my way around a vehicle electrical system. The information I gave was that the battery was at 4.7 volts and needed replacement. This is a fact because when a battery is discharged that low, it is damaged and cannot be brought back. So, battery tech shows up, tests the battery, and confirms it is bad. No kidding. He then tells me he has to go back to the shop to get a battery off the shelf. Why would you drive from Cocoa to Mims without a replacement battery when I told you it was bad and needed to be replaced? It gets better! He returns a couple of hours later with a battery and installs it. The car will not start without him using his jump box. I told him he brought me a battery that only had a surface charge and that it was never initially charged by their supplier. He claimed it was good because it showed 12.6 volts, and something else must be wrong. I explained to him that ALL 12-volt car batteries will always show at least 12.4 volts once factory filled, but they have no reserve or stored energy until charged. So, I asked him when he would be back with another battery. He said he had to call his boss. He calls his boss and explains everything, including what I said, and the boss tells him to test the new battery. So he does, and the tester reports the batter as good but needs a recharge. No kidding. He then tells me that he can't replace it because it reads as good. Now I'm getting a bit annoyed as I explain how ridiculous it is that he will leave me with a non-working replacement battery. I explained that I could not be expected to leave my car running for hours to charge up a new battery and risk damaging my alternator. I tell him I want another battery or for him to refund me and take the battery back. Yes, I had to prepay for the battery before he put it in. He then says the company policy is not to take back a battery and issue a refund once it is installed, and since it tests good, just discharged, he can't swap in another one either. At this point, I tell him he has to do one or the other and that if he doesn't, I will immediately call my bank and dispute the charge. He calls his boss and put's him on speaker phone, where I repeat everything about the battery not being initially charged, and he tries to tell me that it's good because it has 12.6 volts. I tell him I am a retired ASE Master Technician and know precisely how batteries work. He then dares to say, "Okay, Santa," in a very dismissing tone. He repeats the policy of not replacing the battery or issuing a refund. I reiterate that they brought me a non-working (because it was never charged) battery. They cannot expect a customer to run their vehicle for hours and risk damaging the alternator, not to mention the amount of gas wasted. I then reiterated that I wanted a replacement or a full refund or would dispute the charge with my bank. The call ends, and the tech says he was told to call his boss's boss, which he does. That person agrees to fully refund me and take back the battery. So, the tech takes out the new battery. I ask him to leave the old battery on the garage floor as I will take it to the local Autozone as a core for a new battery that I will now have to install myself. He says he was instructed to reinstall and reconnect my old battery. Ridiculous, but whatever. Just an extra step I have to do. He leaves, and I immediately remove my battery and drive to Autozone in Titusville to buy a replacement. I am even more annoyed because my battery was still under a prorated warranty, but now I have to pay full price, over $120 more. So not only did they not do a proper service call, they ended up costing me over $120. Anyway, I bring the new battery home, install it, and the car starts right up just as I knew it would. They should stick to being locksmiths or take an actual class on how batteries are designed and function. ALL batteries of ALL types MUST be initially charged before they can function fully. Was the battery not being initially charged their fault? No, It was the fault of their supplier that missed the initial charging step on that one. It is, however, 100% their fault for their lousy customer service and my losing out on the prorated value. DO NOT use this company for a AAA battery service. read more

This family owned business really got me out of a jam as I had lost my one and only key to my car while grocery shopping. No spare to speak of, but I do have a AAA membership, and they put me in touch with T.J. Morgan's. These folks were professional, courteous, prompt and affordable. They worked on the key in the bright sun and sweltering heat and humidity together me up and running. I was fortunate to meet T.J., his daughter and son-in-law, and I could tell that these folks cared about the community they served and the integrity of their work and good name. I called AAA today because the battery in my husband's Dodge Journey died, and we got so lucky that the service call went out to T.J. Morgan's Locksmith. The dispatcher ( I'm so sorry, but I don't remember her name,) was so nice, explained that they were very busy and that it may be more than an hour. That was fine, I've been an AAA member for years, waiting is just part of the deal. After about 90 min, my AAA app timed out and I got a message that my call had been cancelled because my account couldn't be verified. A call to AAA said the wait was 30 min to get a representative. I called T.J. Morgan's and got an immediate assurance (from the very nice dispatcher) that we we were still on the board and they would be on their way shortly. Afew minutes later I got a call from Robert that they would be there in 5 min. Robert and his associate (so sorry that I didn't catch his name, he was a delightfully wry gentleman with a charming accent) arrived and immediately brought out all the equipment they would need. They clearly knew what they were in for. In case you don't know, the Dodge Journey (at least this model) has the battery in a remarkably moronic place and the driver's side front tire has to be removed to replace the battery. Robert (who was exceptionally nice, very professional, and super patient) and his associate were friendly and personable, apologizing several times for our wait, while efficiently getting into the tedious task of accessing the battery, testing it, showing us the results, explaining them, and replacing it. The entire process, that an auto shop had quoted us 4 hours and almost $500 for, took them about 30 min (in a parking lot, mind you) and cost us less than 1/2 of that. During the repair, T.J. himself stopped by with a tool to help out. We had truly amazing service today, and can not say enough nice things about the staff and owner of T.J. Morgan's Locksmith. From the first call to the end, they were just really good people and we truly appreciated the great service! Five stars, two thumbs up, massive kudos to this business and the amazing staff. My GF has a 2015 Kia, couldn't get the factory key into the door lock to open it. Called AAA more than once to get us into the car; Called TJ Morgan's and they gave us a great price - but more importantly - they fixed it, (I'm a bit of a nerd) and explained exactly what was wrong with the locks. They pretty-much rebuilt the locks on driver and passenger side; They charged a great rate for what they did and the time they spent. If you've got a car lock issue, TJ Morgan are the people to call! They evidently serve all of Brevard, but they arrived to the second 5 minute before the scheduled appointment time. They were also in contact from the first minute. Verified the keys were working. I know a bit about locks - and they had the right tools and right people to get it done in a more-than-timely fashion. If there were more stars I could click on for this review, I'd click on 'em.
