T.J. is an absolutely amazing photographer! He photographed our rehearsal dinner and our wedding out in Napa and the pictures are stunning. Not only was he great to work with, but our guests couldn't get over at how professional and relaxed he was throughout the wedding day. The way he captures lighting and posed us for our wedding photos, I can't stop staring at them. Sharing the photos with family and friends, we are getting so many compliments on them. TJ was our wedding photographer this past weekend and he was amazing to work with!!! From the first phone call it was clear that he knew what he was doing. He guided us through entire process. We had a very small wedding - only 12 people in total - and every single person in attendance gushed about how great TJ was the whole day. My grand plan was to ask my girlfriend to become my fiancé on a trip planned in Napa. The trip was in disguise as her birthday trip, but it was much more. We started the celebration at Scribe Winery, my favorite in all of California. My wife and I have had the incredibly good fortune to work with T.J. Salsman on three occasions, and each time he has given us nothing less than spectacular memories. But before I get into the details, it's worth noting that both my wife and I are in marketing and have worked with literally dozens of professional photographers over the years. There are thousands of wedding photographers here in the bay area, the market is seriously competitive. My husband and I were initially drawn to him because of the way he is able to capture emotions and add a unique, artistic touch to his photos. We were equally impressed by the way he made us feel so comfortable, his flexibility and his creativity from our engagement shoot to our wedding day. Ok, can I say that I love TJ without being weird!? He is an amazing photographer/photojournalist!! We just celebrated my hubby's 50th birthday up in Napa and TJ came and took photos of our group at the house that we were staying at and then followed us to a winery. The photos were beyond amazing!! TJ is a true artist who came recommended to us via our fantastic wedding planner, Sonja Beazley Burch (Intimate Weddings-Napa). We had our wedding September 16, 2012 at the Beazley House in Napa and the day was completely perfect. TJ felt like part of the family that day- an incredible personality and true master of his craft. We had our reception on the Napa Valley Wine Train; a personal dream of mine was to have a black & white photo of my husband and I kissing on the back of the train with a "Just Married" banner on the back- a timeless photo that would represent the love and excitement we felt on that day. I can proudly say that my husband and I now have three framed differently captured photos of this picture, each uniquely exceptional, but similar image framed in our new home. We also have a few other of our favorites around the house & our perfect wedding photo book in our living room. I can't say enough wonderful things about TJ. I contacted him through his website and he promptly returned my call. We talked at length about what I was hoping to achieve. I appreciated that he was in no rush to make a quick sale and patiently described his approach and answered all my questions. At the photo session, TJ was equally patient (and funny!) with my nutty family. We were a challenging group of 14 - from people who tired easily (old & young) to those who had a hard time focusing... TJ was in control without being bossy, and made the whole experience fun for everyone. The photos of the day are even better than my wedding photos (if only I knew TJ 5 years ago).
