Wow, Yelp really came through again! I was searching for a photographer for our engagement photos and Google didn't bring Vinh up, but Yelp did, and I'm so grateful. From the very beginning, Vinh was incredibly informative, professional, and genuinely friendly. His communication is exceptional. Vinh is great! I found Vinh through Yelp while looking for a photographer for a maternity photoshoot. A lot of people I found prior to Vinh were really expensive and I felt like the package did not justify the pricing. Vinh offers great photos at a very reasonable price and you can tell he has great passion for what he does. When I was "shopping" for photographers, Vinh was quicker to respond than the others that I reached out to. When I told him what kind of photos I was looking for, (aka I shared my pinterest board,) he came back with a bunch of location options that fit the theme I was going for. Vinh was proactive in reaching out to me prior to our photoshoot date to ensure we met at the right time, especially since we planned for sunset time back when I booked him but now that our photoshoot date was nearing, the sunset time had moved to earlier in the day. I really appreciate that he wanted to make sure I got the photos I wanted which depended on the lighting. Wendy was assisting him and she was great as well. I felt like she was one of my girlfriends helping me out, making sure my hair was out of my face, etc. Oh and we got all the photos in 2 weeks like he said he would. TLDR; I highly recommend working with Vinh! He's great with communication and has a lot of experience working on wedding/engagement photography! He also is crazy fast at turning around edited photos - I can't state how happy we were with his service! Vinh was amazing to work with! From the day I contacted him for a shoot to the days leading up to the shoot, he was extremely communicative, giving me detailed updates on any changes to the location or time. He really went above and beyond the day of the shoot. My fiance and I were driving to Montara Beach where we originally planned to shoot engagement pictures. A few hours before we were scheduled to meet, Vinh reached out to me to inform me that there was extreme fog along the coast with almost no visibility. He quickly offered up 5 alternative locations in SF to shoot and allowed me to choose one that I liked. On the way up to SF, I got a call from Vinh informing me that the fog was also at the location I picked and asked if I still wanted to shoot in the fog or go to another location. I had no idea where else to go, but Vinh was so prepared and suggested another location to shoot in Marin county. We agreed to do that. When we arrived at the location, I knew immediately that Vinh was an experienced, professional photographer! He came prepared with a full suite of cameras and a suitcase with additional cameras and lens, which he dragged up a hill to a beautiful spot overlooking the water. As soon as he was set up, he was efficient in guiding us through different poses, giving us tips and quick corrections to capture the perfect shot! He was so personable and easy to talk to that it put me and my fiance at ease (we aren't the most elegant in front of the camera)! We could tell right away that he was passionate about what he was doing and able to capture some of the candid moments I was looking for. After about 45 minutes, he suggested going up further the hill to try to capture the sun setting, which ended up looking PHENOMENAL!! We were so glad he suggested it. At the end of the shoot, he told us how we would receive the photos, and I was so shocked when he was able to turn the edited photos around the next day! They looked incredible and my fiance and I are planning on printing a few of them out to hang in our house :). read more

For most couples, when picking a wedding photographer, the top considerations are: 1) style of the photos, 2) price and 3) connection with the photographer. It is not often that you add "best friend material" to that list. For us, that was the case with Vinh! Right away, we knew we loved Vinh's style of photos, but it was after meeting and chatting with him, that we knew he would be much more than our wedding photographer - he would become a lifelong friend! Even though, we were based in Denver and San Diego, we flew Vinh out to both locations after chatting with him only once via Google Hangout. In September 2016, we flew Vinh to Denver where we were living at the time, so he could shoot our engagement photos. They turned out beautifully! Vinh spent the day with us in the mountains of Aspen, and he even braided my hair for the photos (in order to keep my wedding veil in). In July 2017, Vinh came out to San Diego the day before our wedding. He spent the day with us and even shot photos of our rehearsal! He hung out with all our wedding party and friends, and even stayed with us at an AirBnB. On the day of the wedding, he cruised around with us in our 35+ passenger bus along the coast of San Diego. Our wedding was at the Cuvier Club in gorgeous La Jolla. His photos were absolutely stunning and caught all of our most special moments! We especially loved the group photo he took for us, highlighting our 120 guests! All of our friends loved meeting him and we have all kept in touch. Not but 3 weeks later, Vinh visited San Diego again to celebrate his birthday. We all came out to celebrate with him, as he had become such a great friend! He is truly a talented photographer, but so much more! He is passionate about his work and creative in his craft!! It is so hard to believe that we were strangers before all of this began.
