My experience with Dr. Kimmel was so horrible I still think about it 13 years later. I was in…read morehighschool and my family was new to the area and the office was closest to our house. My appointment was in regard to a sleeping issue caused by anxiety. My mom (who is a nurse) explained to Dr. Kimmel the issues I had been having and instead of offering any help or course of treatment, he just accused my (very straight edge) mother of using me as a mule for drugs for her own benefit. The entire interaction was very condescending and disgusting and that man doesn't have an ounce of bed side manner. No idea how this guy is running his own office when he needs his license revoked.

Dr. Kimmel refused to give me the referrals I told him past doctors had told me to get during two different appointments. He knew that I was diagnosed with an autonomic nervous system disorder, and refused to refer me to a neurologist. He refused to give me the referrals because my blood tests came back normal, and because he thought that my insurance wouldn't cover it, then told my insurance case manager I had no need for the aid I was seeking. He said I had no need whatsoever for the wheelchair I was looking into getting fitted for, and told me if I wanted one, to go to goodwill. I have severe chronic fatigue and moderate joint pain when up and moving around for more than a short period of time. He actually looked me in the face and said I had no need for mobility aids when I had my Service Dog with me under my chair. He was unfamiliar with all of the things I told him I was previously diagnosed with. He put arthritis on my chart after my first appointment and did not recall doing so when it was brought up during the second appointment. (I don't have arthritis, by the way). He was very stubborn and condescending. He generally made me feel like a liar to the point where I was doubting my own legitimate disabilities. He made me feel guilty about my unhealthy habits after I was honest about them. Not a good way to build trust with a patient. Overall, Dr. Kimmel is a very stubborn, unprofessional, borderline dangerous doctor to schedule your appointments with. DO NOT COME HERE.
