Went for mammogram and multiple X-rays. The staff are kind and efficient. The facility is clean and easy to find.

Every time I call for an appointment there is a 30-45-minute wait, which is ridicules. I doesn't matter what time, it is always like this. When I receive a referral, they are supposed to call you to schedule, but they never do. Once the appointment is made, they are wonderful. It just isn't worth it to me to sit on the phone that long to make an appointment. read more

I came here for a bone scan MRI ordered by my doctor. This facility told me don't worry we will send everything over before your appointment in 2 days. I arrived at my appointment 2 days later and they didn't even send my images to the radiologist for review. So I waited 2 additional hours at my doctors office so they could hurry up the radiologist to review my images. Later that day I called this place to ask if I can come pick up my radiology report as well as a copy of my images as I wanted to take them elsewhere. The woman on the phone told me "okay" and I told her I was driving from about 25 minutes away so I'd be there tonight for both. She again told me okay that's fine. I arrive and both women at the front desk are grumpy and have short attitudes right away. No smile. Now how are you. "Do you have an appointment or not?" Was how I was greeted. They tell me I need to sign in and wait my turn to pick up my things. So I sign in and wait and they call me to the front desk to tell me "sorry your radiology report isn't done." What??? I literally called 30 minutes prior to avoid all of this and asked for my radiology report specifically. Then she tells me she cannot even give me my records for 3 business days because that is their policy. This place is WILD, what an unprofessional medical facility. Unfortunate because Brandy (the one who did my bone scan) was actually very nice and good at her job. read more

Some of the workers are very nice to the patients. However, some are very "bitchy". One person told me she was looking into why my report had not been placed in the patient portal 6 days earlier....been 9 days since my tests were done...as a courtesy to me. When did doing your job becomes a courtesy??? Another person said that I had request medical reports from 3 different places......not true. She was obviously looking at the wrong dates. She said she would send me a file by email to fill out.....still don't have it. I doubt I will get it, since her attitude was so condescending. She came across very agitated and "bitchy", too. Very disorganized office with poor communications to patients. I was called on a wrong number three times and left messages. Fortunately I know the person with the number they had on record (my emergency call number) and they forwarded the messages. I thought I had set up an appointment for a procedure with one only to find out later that I did not have an appointment. Then someone left a message about blood work that they had no record of. No instructions about what to do prior to the blood work was provided, thus due to aspirin in my blood I did not pass the blood test and had to re-schedule the entire procedure. Also they don't seem to reply to messages left on the phone. read more

I came here for my stress test, and from the receptionist to all the staff there they were all professional and made me feel comfortable. Being there for about three hours i was seen on time and my experience with all the staff was real good. My tech Brandy was a sweetheart taking me through every step with a smile. Do not understand the bad feedback's for this place was ran like a well oiled machine. read more

Normally i would say i've been coming here for years for routine tests and mamograms w/o any significant complaints. But today visited w/ my primary doctor who told me i need a follow-up digital 2nd Mamogram asap. I immediately called UCI and was told there is nothing available so now i'm waiting 17 days (that's 17 day of worry) ! With 2 locations you should have a few built-in emergency appointments for those who are not routine and cannot wait. Or, may i suggest you just add an extra appt to at the end of your day to help a regular patient out?? Take into consideration that someone has been giving you their business for many many years and offer some priority service. Very disappointed in this. read more

I have been there three times in the last two months (two ultrasounds and an MRI). Everyone from the scheduling department, front desk, financial, and techs have been very efficient, extremely professional and very, very compasionate. We all know how stressful these situations can be ~ especially the MRI ~ and these people are top notch! No I don't work there and I don't have any vested interest in the company. Just thought credit should be given when deserved! read more

Words cannot begin to describe how appalling I find this facility to be. I am not sure what is more appalling, the public embarrassment you caused for me or the lack of knowledge from supposed medical professionals. To refer to the CDC without actually knowing what they are recommending is just blatantly unprofessional, and to deny service to someone due to the same ignorance is unacceptable. It is examples like this that are causing mass panic. You are part of the problem, not the solution. In the future, I urge you to do your research before quoting the CDC. read more

This was one of the worst nightmares of my life. I had an appointment scheduled for today. When I arrived, as scheduled, they stated they never received the order from my doctor, and, I was supposed to do and 18 hour prep the day before, for a barium enema test. The imaging center called my home, to schedule the test , the same day my doctor ordered the test. Then they wanted to reschedule because i didn't do the prep. I have an ileostomy, so no prep was ordered or needed. The imaging center should have known this prior to my appointment. An hour and a half later, and after my doctor refaxed the order 4 times, the test was finally started the tech inserted a tube with a balloon up my rear end, and when I told him it was uncomfortable, he kept moving it around inflating it and deflating it causing more trauma to the area. When I told them to stop the test because I was in extreme pain, they ignored me and kept going, even though I was screaming, because I was in intolerable pain. Finally the radiologist said to the Tech stop the procedure per the patient's request. I called my surgeons office to let them know I stopped the test. I was told that this had never happened before and they were glad the test was stopped. It is now 10 hours later , and, I still have pink tinged mucus coming out of my rear. This test was supposed to determine if my colon surgery had healed, so the ileostomy could be reversed. I am honestly scared that they messed the healing process. I will never go back there and, if indeed they messed it up, I will sue. Like I said to begin with, this is one if not the worst experience of my life. Also, I am a nurse. read more

They asked me to arrive 15 mins early & to have a full bladder for my ultrasound appointment, which I did. When I got there, they told me the tech got an emergency patient and was running 40 mins behind schedule. I was pissed! 18 weeks pregnant, having to pee, showed up early at your request, with a toddler in tow... There was no way I was going to be able to wait 40 mins!! A phone call with advanced notice of the wait would have been nice... Or moving my appt to the Melbourne office... Or rescheduling it altogether. So, why the 5 stars, you ask?? Well, when I voiced my frustrations (as calmly as possible) to the receptionist, they spoke to the tech to try to accommodate me. My wait time decreased down to 20 mins, which was reasonable at this point, and they gave me the remote to the tv to put cartoons on to entertain my toddler. I was very impressed with their polite demeanor and their willingness to satisfy me, as the patient. Once I was seen (exactly 20 mins later), the ultrasound tech was extremely friendly and spent a solid 45 mins with us. I was appreciative of the quality time with my, come to find out, future baby girl, and the fact that the tech was so willing to take her time with us. Customer service at its best!! read more

Very friendly folks. Here's the reason for 5 stars: The receptionist is personable & when I got called, they told me that my wife & friend can come with me. We separated & the medical person escorted my wife & friend to a small lobby where they had the TV to themselves & gave them the remote. As for myself, I was seen on-time & was told how long the process would take. I liked the idea (since the machine is loud at times--they told me & gave me headphones) of being able to select & listen to music during the process. She would interrupt periodically to tell me the progress. She also gave me a squeezable bulb in case of claustrophobia or any other problems (they also ask you ahead of time if you have it which I didn't.) Sorry for the lengthy review but I'm hoping this helps anybody having to go through an MRI & not knowing what to expect (at least here you'll know what to expect & knowing you're in good hands). read more

I was sent there for a bone density scan and a mammogram. I am physically handicapped. The tech, Jay, who did the bone scan was very compassionate and helpful. He walked me over to the mamo area where I was confronted by a vulgar woman, Penny, who screamed at me about a transport and disgusted that I drive!! I never experienced such discrimination and humiliation. She was the one who did the mammogram. Rushed through everything. Knowing I had a weak side (the left) she kept pushing me around; even almost knocked me over once. Very rough and hurried me out of the office. They treated me like a gross freak because I was handicapped. I will never go there again and will try filing a complaint. read more

The radiologist at University Center Imaging in Melbourne who was directly responsible for administering my bone scan test and reporting the results to my surgeon successfully identified the exact locations of three bone fractures in my lumbar spine that had been previously unidentified for over seven years. Over the last seven years I have suffered chronic and crippling pain as a result of those fractures. In the past, other radiologists who administered my bone scan tests at a different testing facility and reported their findings to my surgeon had revealed I had chronic lumbar fractures (increased bone uptake) but failed to identify their exact locations. The exact locations of those fractures had to be identified to schedule surgery to repair them. The reason why the radiologist at University Center Imaging successfully identified the exact locations of my three lumbar fractures where others had previously failed at the other testing facilities was because the radiologist took time to ask me what my test's area of focus needed to be. In other words, he cared enough to do a detailed and accurate test report. For the first time in seven years I HAVE HOPE of my chronic lower back pain improving after surgery. Words will never express my gratitude to the radiologist at University Center Imaging for giving me hope when all hope had been lost. In the future, if I need additional medical testing for any reason, I will ONLY trust University Center Imaging and their fantastic staff to do the job RIGHT! read more

Think twice !! We used them several other times however this time, they told my spouse to pay $202 as deductible on 10/14; and, that "BCBS TOLD us to collect it" The problem is THEY TOOK OUR MONEY BUT DIDN'T TELL BCBS so when the bills came in BCBS took the whole deductible of $1k off the top!! Meaning instead of starting the 80/20 after $798 (balance of $1k deductible) they started AFTER taking the full $1k. So we didn't get $160 of insurance benefit-- BE WARNED CHECK YOUR POLICY -- we found out from BCBS they NEVER ask the provider to collect money because the benefits and eligibility (deductible) is NOT live info-- they should have just processed the claim and let the insurance account for the deductible. Oh yeah, 6 weeks later 11/27 University's 3rd party billing filed the claim for the FULL amount and collected 100% of the allowable amount. They didn't tell us we over paid-- I called them after speaking with BCBS as our receipts clearing show we had already paid our $1200 before the procedure (including $202 to University Imaging) They also didn't take responsibility for this-- so moving forward we will find another provider from the insurance list. read more

Worst place to have an ultrasound done. A few months back my husband went for a doctor ordered scrotum ultrasound. Weeks later we received a $400 bill for an abdominal ultrasound with renal imaging. This was never performed or ordered by our doctor. I'm a nurse and have worked in the past for a medical billing office so I have a good understanding of medical terminology and medical procedures. When I brought this bill to their attention and the improper billing I was told it would be taken care of but it had to do with bundle billing, ect.. To make along story short, their office never contacted the billing people(according to the billing people they do not communicate). When I took the issue up with their billing company I was never allowed to actually speak to someone who knows anything more about billing and coding then reading what is on the screen in front of them or looking it up on the internet. There is a specific code for just a scrotal ultrasound that can be used and the bill would not be $400. In a nut shell they gave me the run around for months, argued with me that this type of coding was standard practice (it's only standard if you are scamming the system for more money) and that there was nothing that could be done. Unfortunately I just ended up paying the bill because I was so tired of having the same argument with a different rep who seemed to have no idea what I was talking about every time I talked to them. My family and I would also be out the state for 6 months and I just didn't have the time to keep fighting them, which is exactly what they want. If you've ever had a procedure with them and then gotten a huge bill I would double check it over and over, they are slyly scamming people out of extra money by manipulating the coding and then making you feel like that is how it's done. Please go somewhere else that's going to give you an honest bill and charge you for services that are ACTUALLY rendered! read more

I had to schedule an ultrasound as a precautionary measure. Since it was just precautionary I asked several times BEFORE setting up the appointment if I had to pay anything or if the insurance would cover the whole thing. They asked me for my insurance (which they already had on file from a previous time) and told me that there wouldn't be a co-pay; it was fully covered by my insurance, so I ended up setting the appointment and had the ultrasound. Three weeks later, I receive a bill for $91. I called them to ask about it and they directed me to their billing offices in MA. I called and all they said was "talk to your insurance". I went to the local office in person and asked them why they told me that there was no co-pay when there was. I never got an answer to that. All I got was "talk to your insurance to see if they can lower it". I ended up paying the bill just to get out of there. I've never had an issue with UCI before, but after this bait and switch they've lost me as a customer. read more
