My dog was abused two different days with severe animal abuse. During the past two weeks, non stop false information , horrific, I believe designed to coverup the animal abuse and continue to intimidate and harass me to keep me from reporting to animal control. It appears animal control has not taken any action and has allowed this constant non stop intimidation. My dog is likely permanently damaged. I used this kennel for decades. I realize now other issues had happened. If you report animal abuse, be prepared to receive two weeks of lies, horrific designed to upset you, it did, it caused me panic attacks. It involved conspiracy of both owners and another. Witnesses and video of two different animal abuses, one I was shown, the staff thought it was funny, (now no acknowledge of it) the second, the video system did not work. The chances of this happening just to my dog. Is slim and none. I have been an animal activist my whole life. It appears no action has been taken, I have submitted all information and they have allowed this continual conspiracy and intimidation. I need to go above Soos Creek and animal control. They've been able to accommodate my noisy barker jack russell and over many stays my bull terrier is coming out of his shell and is starting to warm up to the staff. When I made an inquiry about bringing my dogs for daycare and possible boarding was told they don't take dogs under 35 lbs. however my friend recently had her dogs boarded there and both her dogs were under that weight limit. I just wish this was stated anywhere on the website. Would save a lot of time. I understand the rule but it just makes more sense to have that listed. But communication was good and staff called me in a timely manner so appreciate that. read more

I brought my two dogs to Sews Creek Kennel for boarding while I went on vacation. I figured they would be safe & cared for fed & loved ... Well we were wrong :( While gone one of my pups passed and when I went to pick up his remains & my other pup, he was not good at all. They had not to much to say about my loss & my other pup they gave me excuses & said he was fine just a hour ago??? I was clearly not happy, upset & worried ... I left in a hurry and we went straight to the ER. Sadly He passed hours later we lost him as well. So we asked the vet what he thought & how long our little one was not well? He felt he was not good for a few days at-least was his guess. My question is WHY & how could they not see he was suffering & was not well? Why did they not take him to the vet ? Especially after knowing the other has just passed "REALLY?" One would think they would have been way on top of things but sadly NO they obviously did not care ... there is no other explanation:( They were not sympathetic & still expected to be paid ... however they finally backed off on that as they should. It was a heart wrenching nightmare :( After I had lost my two loves I heard of others and their bad experiences as well I am truly heart broken. I will never forgive myself for leaving them there :( I have not took the time to post a review until now it was just to painful PLEASE.... If you need to go away find a sitter & keep your pups & kitty's safe & where they will be truly loved & taken care of like you would instead of placed in a cold cage/kennel thinking they were left & not attended Or cared for other than given food & water as if in jail. I waited awhile to submit a review hoping this place would improve after a year and a half of bringing my dog here, but we can officially say we won't be returning. A few things: 1. A toy that I sent with my dog wasn't returned to me, so I had to make a trip out of my way to pick it up. 2. I had to have an emergency c-section and they were initially very accommodating with me having to change drop-off and pick-up dates for a boarding stay. At the end of the stay, my husband picked up our dog around 5:50pm the night we left the hospital with our newborn, and the receptionist was extremely rude and not understanding. 3. Having to pay extra for 2 feedings per day is a little ridiculous as is, and there have been 1 or 2 occasions where my dog has come home with extra food, meaning they forgot to feed her at meal times. 4. My dog smells absolutely horrible when coming home from a boarding stay there, so I usually request a bath for her. I submitted a grooming request for 11am on her pick-up date because we were picking her up at noon. My husband showed up to pick up our dog and she wasn't bathed. They "forgot". 5. She was bathed after another stay, and was returned to me absolutely soaked and covered in loose hair. My car was filthy after bringing her home. We really wanted to give this place a chance, and I'm not the type of person to write negative reviews or really speak my mind about things in general, but when it comes to my dog and giving countless chances to this place, I felt like there was a need for this. read more

This was our first time boarding and these people are straight up rude and they don't know how to handle Huskies at all. Upon picking up our dogs, the owner and a few other staff referred to our dogs as "crazy". My white dog is super sweet and wants nothing but love. My 2 year old male is just vocal (again... a husky) and wouldn't hurt another dog. I highly recommend going to Paws VIP. Our dogs loved the caretakers and licked them in the face which they did not mind. Also they constantly update pics and vids of our dogs so we always know what they're doing. They even have surveillance of them sleeping in their beds. The prices are also more reasonable. read more

Very bad experience here, would NEVER recommend this business. Me and my wife have taken our dog here twice and the owners on the phone were a pleasure to speak with and very kind. First time was great, took about 2 hours which is what we are used to, and we wanted to to come back. Second time COVID restrictions had made them very busy so we had to schedule out 3-4 weeks or something because they were flooded. We were cancelled on the morning of that appointment because the groomer called out and were not offered and opportunity to reschedule. Luckily the owners called a few days later and got us in the next week or something to make it right. Then, for this last appointment.. When we dropped our dog off at 9am the front desk lady was very rude and took forever to find our appointment. Not a big deal I know people have bad days... Anyways, we had ran errands after dropping him off for about 2 hours. We didn't want to get called in our way home and turn around so we went there and called to see if he was almost done. The woman had said the same groomer (who had cancelled last time, Jessica) was having car issues and got in at 10am so she was behind and that they haven't started with our dog yet. This was around 11am she told us this. Okay, we understand car issues happen and at-least she told us. So we go home and wait on the call to pick him up. The hours online say they're open 9am-1pm and reopen 4pm-closing time. We're at home and it's now 1230pm and no call. Our dog has been there for 3+hours so it still hasn't been too long. But the fact they close at 1pm we wanted to make sure we wouldn't have to wait until 4pm or something. So we called 4-5 different times between 1230pm and 130pm and left voicemails. No call back or anything. So now that it's 2pm and our dog has been there for 5 hours and we was dropped off the minute that they open.... I was DONE. I went in there and she was extremely rude when I politely said I'd like my dog back and didn't want them to finish the cut. She got all flustered saying he was going to be done in 30-45min but I didn't care at that point. I even offered to pay (which I shouldn't have) just so she'd shut up and give me my dog. This was the groomer Jessica.. Then the other lady comes out and starts arguing with me saying he almost done and I need to relax! OMG I felt like I was trying to release my dog from prison. It was the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. Even with the long time wait, if they would've handled it differently I would've been fine. They both were rude and didn't seem to even want to help me in anyway. I admit that I wasn't the most polite back to them after they started arguing with me, but I had every right. This was a pathetic attempt at running there grooming business they should just stick to kennels. read more

Making the appointment was very convenient, using their website. My wife dropped off our dog and when he was done they gave us a call. He went in for a bath and trim, which is nothing special. I went to pick him up and looked around for pricing but nothing on the wall. But to take care of our boy it was $100 bill. Maybe, if they have prepared us for the price we wouldn't feel as bad. We moved here from another state and many things are more expensive. We are accustomed to paying $45 for the same services. read more

I've boarded my young orange DSH cat here 3 or 4 times now, and I am always happy with the job Soos Creek Kennels does. Love that they allow you to pick your pet up on Sundays from 4-6, most places don't even offer Sunday pickups, hence you get charged for another day if you return from out of town on Saturday evening, as I usually do. So kudos for that! I have been out to see the "cattery," and each kitty gets a generously-sized enclosure with a plastic cat tree, and my favorite part, a little cat door that leads to a chain-link enclosed outside enclosure so they can experience the great outdoors too! A couple gripes: No itemized receipts. For an extended stay, or with grooming, play time, medication, and other additional charges, we're talking hundreds of dollars, and boy would I love to see that broken down into individual charges before you swipe my Visa for a considerable chunk of change. Something you guys should really consider implementing. The pricing is also a bit high. They raised the daily rate for cat boarding to $18 this year, when at $16 per night (2012 rate), they were already more expensive than most other comparable boarders. They also charge for playtime, at a rate of $6 per 20 or 30 minutes (can't remember exactly which). Other places have a cheaper daily rate, AND include playtime for free. We had him groomed once, $40 for a wash and nail trim (2012 rates), and I thought that was reasonable, especially since our cat is typical in that he assumes when you bathe him you're really trying to kill him and therefore acts like a lunatic with very sharp claws. And he was sooooo fluffy afterwards. The staff is always as kind as can be, and lets me leave a bunch of crap (toys, bed, blankets, etc) with my fur baby and doesn't give me a hard time or weird looks for it. They even helped me lug that stuff out to my car last time, which I thought was really nice. Bottom line: A good, trustworthy boarder. I know when I leave my kitty there that he's in good hands. However I've done the math, and for my 8-day trip to Hawaii coming up, with daily playtime I could save 80 bucks giving another local boarder a try, so I plan to do that. But if it doesn't work out, I'll go back to the loving arms of SCK. read more

At first I had rated this place 3 stars. After a few more visits I decided this business is worth the 5 stars. I bring my Maltese/Chihuahua here for haircuts only, no baths. My first time here I was charged $30 (because of him not getting a bath) but other visits the price went up to $40 all of the sudden. This irritated me a bit but because the service they provide and their treatment of my dogs and myself were great, I keep going back. The lady that does the grooming is very friendly and listens to what you want done. She's very great with the dogs/cats. The pets that customers brings by I noticed aren't caged up and I like that about this place. They usually get my dogs groomed in an hour or two which is a lot faster than Petco or pet smart who use to keep my dog ALL day. Front desk staff are friendly and nice as well. I always recommend this place to all my friends who have pets that needs grooming. read more

Been taking our dog (American Eskimo), Shiloh, here ever since we had him so about 3 years now. I don't have any other groomers to compare it to but I don't need to. They have done an excellent job with grooming him. Had some requests in how we'd like his hair cut and they have always done a great job in listening to our needs. Although there's been 2 different groomers there, they have done well in employing great groomers. Overall great service, great grooming, and great price. read more

Animal Care Business with a Heart! We brought our teenager, a 19-month-old spaniel in for a long overdue tubby and a haircut after I gave up attempts to comb through that bad matting myself, and they took him in. From the moment we walked in, we could tell that people inside love and understand dogs - AND they understand anxious parents/owners who will walk around the building in circles, try to peer in through windows to make sure the pup is all right, and who will ask silly questions and just be a nervous wreck. An absolutely wonderful, kind and amazing Lori managed to - simultaneously - win our dog's heart, come out in the middle of procedure to talk to us and put our minds at ease and to replace badly matted knots of unruly mass of hair to silky surface and clean tresses. (We did a double-take to make sure we got the same dog back :)) In the end, the pup was happy, clean, licked everyone in sight (and the team happily tolerated that level of familiarity) - and did not smell like socks for a change. We are definitely coming back when it's time for a tubby again. read more

My female dog was put on a leash and pulled, without a word from the girl who took her. The dog was scarred and started struggling. She still did not talk to her, or calm her. I had to tell her to speak to the dog and say. Hello to her. I should have left with dog but didn't. They seem to not care at all about dogs or even know how to handle them. My dog will happily accept almost anything, if you are friendly with her. My dog was not happy when I got her--she acted traumatized. I would never take my dog there again. We have mixed reviews of our experience with the kennel because the staff and the owner had different policies around after hours drop off and pick up. The staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate a late drop off since we live 2 hours away, were having weather changes and a death in the family. Even though the last drop off time was 6pm, the staff member offered an 8:30pm drop off (for an additional $50 fee). We arrived by 6:30 regardless, but the staff members made us and our dog feel welcome and appreciated our business. At the conclusion of our trip, when we arrived to picked up our dog after driving through horrible Seattle traffic at rush hour in a rain storm and calling the owner of our GPS progress 3 times as we made the journey we were faced by a completely different experience. The owner explained that there was a new policy of no early or late check-ins. This would have been fine, but his demeanor was rude, punitive and obnoxious. While he was lecturing us, our dog, hearing our voices, was kept in the adjacent room, barking in a frantic manner. The owner never provided any notes for our dog (after 8 days). We tried to reason with him that we did not know of such a policy because his staff was so accommodating at the drop off, charging us the $50 set fee. We asked to see our dog, to help calm her down and he said, after we paid the bill, we would "get our dog back." His customer service was despicable. read more

We have been going to Soos Creek Kennels for 3 years, since we first got our pup. We love this place! Our dog is a rescue and is a bit of a stress case, meeting new people and going new places can be hard for her. Dan and all of his staff are always so loving with our pup and our pup always comes home happy. Even though drop offs for our dog can make her anxious, they are always reassuring and patient throughout the process. It's nice when you have a non easy going dog to know that you have a place you can trust to care for them when you need to leave. Also, they were great about keeping one person/dog in at a time during covid and had plexiglass up. Highly recommend! read more

My dog absolutely loves it here! I've taken him for doggie daycare and also boarding. They take really great care of him and make sure that every dog is in good temperament for being around each other. The place is pretty secure so I know he is safe there. He also gets groomed here and they do a fantastic job. I've taken him places before where he is so scared to go in with the groomers but he can't wait to get out of the car when he is here. He whines when I have to pick him up and we are driving away. He also gets all his energy out so at home, he's pretty much out for the night. This is where I board my (large) lab when I have to be away and can't take her with me. They've always taken really great care of her-- you can arrange extra walks or treats when you check-in (it costs extra, but I worry about leaving my dog by herself all day even in a large run-- she likes to be social, so to me it's worth it.) They've always been very reasonable about the drop-off / pickup times, and even returned my dog bed clean (they laundered the cover!) when I'm not picking up first thing in the morning. Super nice, and the dogs are clearly the first priority. read more

We boarded our corgi, Yorgi, with them for a week while we were on vacation. They did such a great job with him and they returned our calls as we were checking in on him. Such wonderful friendly staff! We had him groomed on the day we picked him up and he was so fluffy and happy. His nails were trimmed and his ears were cleaned, too. It was very nice to bring him home all spiffy! We can't say anything negative about them as they were terrific all the way through the booking for his boarding and detailed in what we wanted for his grooming. read more

We have boarded our pitbull puppy here for over a year- we get him doggy daycare (he plays for hours), a walk or two and a bath before pick up. I was anxious about him one vacay, called and left a message and got a text a bit later with pics of him on a walk. Pretty happy with their service, they are accomodating and thorough in paying attention to whether the pets are up to date on vaccinations and such- I can appreciate that. read more

Mimi l. Be glad they didn't clean your dogs ears. My dogs need the fur carefully plucked out of their ears. At the vet it takes at least 10 to 15 minutes. I waited while they cleaned my dogs ears and it took about 2 minutes and he was screaming the whole time, came out shaking his head and continued shaking his head for two days. The second night he couldn't sleep and cried all night. I took him to the doctor in the morning and she was very upset ~ the groomer had just ripped the fur out and caused oozing abrasions that had become infected. The owner tried to ignore my calls (I had to call him on my boyfriends phone so he wouldn't recognize my phone # and then he promptly picked up). He finally talked to the vet and repaid me the $240 vet bill. He then told me to find someone else to groom my dogs. NO PROBLEM!!! As if I would ever subject them to their groomers again!!! read more

Really like this place. Friendly, relaxed staff. Always have been able to accommodate our needs - even for last minute trips. I actually like that there is a sign asking patrons to not refer to the place as a "prison" in respect to the animals boarded there. (Minimizes negativity, I imagine). We like to refer to it as the "Puppy Hotel", or "spa". Nice that there is typically a welcome note posted with your pet's name on it the day you arrive to check in. That's a nice touch! read more

We've been taking our 4 year old Goldendoodle here for over a year now, we've had great experiences each time. They do a thorough job on her and she always comes out with a big smile on her face. We have left out two Labs a few times, and I agree with the other reviews here. The staff is always polite and friendly, and don't laugh at how crazy we are with our dogs (at least not to our faces!) Itemized bills would be appreciated, and although the pricing may be a bit high, I always know that our dogs are taken care of.
