Despite calling during business hours, the person who answered was immediately rude and dismissive. It got even more uncomfortable when my husband asked about a few products. The man on the phone suddenly became suspicious and started speaking to him like he was a police officer or a narc, which was completely uncalled for and honestly quite off-putting. What makes it worse is that the exact products he asked about are clearly listed on their website for anyone to see. So, the attitude of the man speaking with my husband - and his defensiveness - made (and still makes) absolutely no sense. If you're going to advertise late hours, you should be prepared to speak to customers professionally during those hours. Customer service like this is a great way to lose business, and we won't ever be returning.

Second, the service I've experience at this store is completely beyond all expectations and i think should be the standard for any business. They give expert advice, but most importantly, honest advice. They tell you if a product is subpar. They tell you if you could save money by going with a cheaper brand, or if you should spend a little more for a far superior one. The rewards program is always totally worth it and actually lucrative for both the business and customers. The house blends are delicious and the bottles they come in are much more convenient that the dabbing style beakers most other brands come in. I can't recommend these folks enough! When I returned, a different manager told me the veteran discount only applies to medical patients and also would also not apply to any promotions. The inconsistency was frustrating, and the brusque interaction with the manager was curt abrupt and unhelpful. Restricting veteran discounts to only medical patients makes absolutely no practical sense and makes the discount seem performative. Former service members know that being a veteran is being part of a brotherhood. Recognition and appreciation for our military service should not depend on whether we hold a medical card or not. For comparison, the nearby competitor dispensary (Rise) honors veterans across the board, applies their 22% discount on top of promotions, and their staff is consistently helpful and friendly. Verilife needs a more thoughtful approach to how they treat veteran customers.

The 1-star review is incredibly unfair. I've been to the store twice for kratom. I normally buy online, but when I'm in a pinch, I've gone to Willie's. I'm pretty sure the same guy has helped me both times, and I don't know if it's the same dude referred to in that 1-star review, but the guy's super nice, empathetic, knowledgeable, and undeserving of those childish insults. I can't speak to their selection because I've only gone there twice for kratom, but their prices are competitive with other brick and mortar, the kratom is high quality and not cheap garbage, the guy I've dealt with genuinely listened to me, and I'm happy to give them my business.
