I called this morning to inquire about an auto quote and spoke to a woman who answered the phone. I…read moream enrolled in an address confidentiality program that does not use a physical address. I was attempting to explain that I was having trouble getting an auto quote because of this and by law, insurance providers must accept this address. Auto insurance is specifically addressed in the handbook provided to participants of this program. The woman I spoke to continued to talk over me with increasing aggression, would not listen - and when I told her that I understood her system could not accept the non-physical address but this was then a compliance issue concerning her system, she told me to "take it up with the Secretary of State" and -hung up on me.- Nobody is in a program like this for fun. To be treated this way while attempting to get an auto quote while adhering to the policies of the program is pretty appalling. This woman also misrepresented what occurred when contacted about compliance. To anyone reading this affiliated with this agency, please pull the recording of the phone call. Imagine using this agency when something has happened to you in which you need to utilize your insurance. Find another agent that will be in your corner when you need it instead of behaving like this out of the gate.

While moving to another state, I contacted the office to determine what my level of coverage was for our possessions during our move. I was placed on hold while the employee contacted the claims dept to ensure level of coverage; I was informed that we carried full replacement value coverage for any damages that occurred during our move. Based on this info, selected minimal coverage through the moving company. On the day of our move, when the move was not going well and items were being stuffed everywhere in the truck, I again called this State Farm office to ensure that our items were covered at full replacement value, even informing the employee that our move was not going well and the movers were shoving our items in the truck. I was again informed that our items were covered at full replacement value by our Home Owners policy, and advised to keep our policy open until we were fully moved and unloaded and able to assess all damages. When it came time to file a claim for our broken and damaged items, the owner of the agency informed me that he didn't believe that we were covered for our move, that only "named perils" would be covered. This was the first time we were informed of this. Our claim has been denied. The agent refuses to stand behind the information we received from his employees and even coached them on what to say to the claims dept to avoid accountability/liability. I contacted them proactively as our resource to our level of coverage for our move, the information they provided me was incorrect. They refuse to stand behind their employees and take accountability. I would stay very far away from this agency!
