Review is based on Uber Eats order: Orders a family pack $84.98 and extra skewer of kobedeh $6.99 which was very reasonable. As you see from the pictures. the rice tray was massive, and the meat was very good. We ordered extra Naan for a few dollars more which was drfinately needed. The store quality went down ..kotlet is thinner than paper now and more expensive. Honestly, not sure if any meat they add to it . The sold Samantha jar over $9 and once got home opened was 4 spoon taken out of it cover jar was loose and molded . They put less and less qty on their to go food and charge more . Baguette not fresh frozen they take out the last minute to sell defrost Is not good karma doing with consumer such act. Watch when you give cash to one lady. Tried this Peruvian restaurant. The food is good. Ordered lamb shank with dizi Pros: Lamb shank - large portion, rice was seasoned nicely and the lamb was super tender and fall off the bone. Dizi - appreciated the bone marrow in some of the bone pieces. The stew was great is flavor. The meat is fall off the bone. It contained other ingredients that made it nice and filling Naan - fluffy and soft especially when eaten warm Grateful that the hot peppers were on the side Cons: Service - the staff are nice. We love the skewers here. The Barg (veal/beef tenderloin) and the chicken skewers are by far the best they have to offer. The naan and rice are good too. Chicken wings are tasty and the portion size is good. Stick with these and you're good to go. We didn't care for the stews; perhaps they're authentic and and acquired taste? Found this spot through a sponsored post for Uber eats. I've been trying different shawarma and kabab restaurants in the area and this is one of my top picks! I'm surprised that there aren't that many reviews for this restaurant, so I wanted to share my experience. It was so good, we had to order it again the next day. We ordered late night; after 11pm the first time (it was long weekend, don't judge us, lol). We ordered again the following day for around 6pm for dinner because my bf enjoyed it so much (and we didn't have the chance to do our groceries yet). Food quality was consistent. The meat was so tender and juicy (beef and chicken). We ordered the salari which is in my picture. It comes with rice (or naan). One beef skewer and one chicken leg skewer. It also comes with roasted tomatoes and chili's. Included was a side salad (fresh/crisp lettuce, tomato and cucumbers) with dressing. There was also a pack of butter (not sure for what to be honest), sumac spice powder and a good size serving of a type of tzatziki sauce/dip. The portion is massive in my opinion. Can definitely make 2 good sized meals out of this. Maybe even 3 if you portion smaller. The other thing I really appreciated it that the food is packed in a foil container/tray. I don't understand how this restaurant got a high rating! I can only guess that fake positive reviews were posted by their family and or friends. I ordered through Uber Eats and clearly requested Regular Coke and received Coke Zero instead. And their kobideh kebab was VERY DRY and NOT TASTY AT ALL. I do NOT recommend this restaurant and will NOT be returning that's for sure, there is another one near-by it's much much better, it's called Khaki Express. read more

Tochal is another Middle Eastern restaurant along Yonge. I always wonder if you make it a mission to try all the Middle Eastern restaurants along Yonge, how long would it take one to accomplish this goal? Even if you do one a day, I'd say you probably need more than a year. So How does Tochal stack up against the sea of competition? I'd say they are average to slightly above average. While the chicken leg kebab (joojeh) and beef filet mignon kebab (barg) were well marinated flavour wise, they may lack a bit in BBQ aroma. The beef was slightly over cooked but the chicken was timed properly. I did enjoy the rice tremendously as it had just the right amount of saffron flavour. However, I did not enjoy the naan; it was a bit coarse to me and I felt like I was eating whole wheat bread. Nothing stuck out to me aside from the rice but everything was solid.
