I have been a customer of Today's Car Care for over 20 years. They are honest, and do their best to meet commitments and be realistic about costs/timing. I see a previous review about someone who was mad because they told them they couldn't mount a tire for three days. BECAUSE THEY ARE BUSY - AND THEY WERE HONEST ABOUT THE TIME! I've also had other auto repair related businesses try to oversell me on tires, services, etc., but Gaylon and his team have never tried to take advantage / oversell. Highly, highly recommend. Took my 2016 GMC up there for a née power steering pump. Turns out it was only available from the dealerships. They were very responsive and kept me in the loop about everything. After all was said and done it was up there for less than 24 hours. Very impressed, very happy, and they have a very helpful staff. Only down side is they are kind of expensive. read more

I can't believe there aren't any reviews of this place yet. Everyone I have ever talked to has nothing but good things to say about this place, and now I'm here raving as well. (My rating is actually a 4.8 or so, but of course we get whole number increments only.) My car decided to start making some very random and very scary noises late on a Friday afternoon, out in BFE of course. Very long story short, I took it in to PepBoys on Vets (not-nice review in the cue for those guys) and came out Saturday with a verdict of over two grand needing to be spent. Parts weren't available and it was a LOT of money, so I took it to Today's the following Monday for a second opinion that was hopefully not as grim, because I would rather spend my money locally, and because PB really ticked me off. I am now so grateful I made that decision that I want to sing it from the rafters. It was a quick drop-off that morning with a friendly staff. I waited on my ride for a few minutes in the waiting room - clean, colorful, and *gasp* comfortable seating. Like, a leather loveseat of all things. Definitely a far cry from the grease, sterile white walls, and metal mesh bench seats in PB. Coffee and water were there for the taking, there was a small TV, and a smattering of magazines and brand new books (from the local library's take-it-read-it-pass-it-along coffers) hanging out on the coffee table. If I had needed to wait there all day, I would have been comfortable and entertained even. Miraculous in itself. I got a call later that afternoon from the service (manager maybe?) guy. He hd actually driven my car himself, which was a little shocking - most calls I've gotten from service writers elsewhere consist of them simply relaying what the tech scribbled illegibly on the work order and giving you the damage in dollars. Even more shocking was the fact that he was actually advising me NOT TO SPEND ANY MONEY right now. Seriously. He spent a good while explaining exactly what was going on, the purpose for the little parts that were an issue, why he thought we should take a wait-and-see attitude, what to keep an eye out for and what I needed to do maintenance-wise that would minimize further damage and possibly even reverse some of it, what the cost would be if I decided to take a couple of different repair routes, and answering additional questions I had about the inner workings of my vehicle. I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to "how stuff works" under the hood, and was very impressed that he didn't just blow me off and try to gloss over what was really going on. I can't tell you how often I get that, most likely because I'm a tiny girl-thing and these guys typically think our heads are full of fluff and nail polish. So to have him explaining to me what the boot on the steering rack was for, without me even asking... it was a breath of fresh air. All told, I spent a little over fifty bucks for them to check out my car. It seemed a little steep compared to the twenty I spent at PB... but I would guarantee that my car never even came off the lift at PB, while the guys at Today's were out test driving it on bumps and stuff to check it out. And considering the fact that they saved me over two grand, I would have paid double that and still left a happy camper. My only beef with this place, and the reason for the tiny ding on my rating, is that their hours really suck for someone who has a full-time job and an inflexible scheule. They're only open 7:30 - 5:00 Monday through Friday, closed on Saturday and Sunday. They have a drop box, but being out of a vehicle for three days just to get some info and an estimate was more than I could reasonably accept, knowing I had to work all day Saturday and Monday as well. Thankfully I ended up here anyway. Knowing what I do now, I would probably suck it up and fork over the cash to rent a car for anything other than the most ridiculously minor issues that came up during their off time, just to have someone I trust take care of me and my vehicle. These guys are what small local businesses are all about, and hopefully I'll never find myself in a position where I feel forced to go elsewhere again. read more

friendly great service!! this is where i go to for all my car needs. i always worry as a female that a car place will try to get over on me. i usually have someone that knows what they are talking about double check things for me. i know how to check and change my oil, check and air my tires, check and add fluids but nothing major. these fine folks have never tried to get over on me. if something needs to be fixed they'll even tell me if it can wait a while. the customer service is prompt and friendly. i love how down to earth the lady is that takes your keys and writes you up is. last time i dropped my car off we talked like we'd been knowing each other. they always give me my car back in the condition i gave it to the (cleanliness). i do recommend this place to others! read more

I brought my finance's car in for a suspected wheel hub problem and turns out that's what it was. We got there pretty early (8:00) and dropped it off for diagnosis, they were even nice enough to give us a ride back to the house. I got a call shortly after explaining the problem and how much it was going to cost and told them to go ahead with the job. The car was finished by 12:30 the same day. Even though they took the time to look over other things on the car like suspension, tire wear and brakes, they didn't try to sell us anything it didn't need. The price was fair and the service was extremely professional. Galen helped us and couldn't have been nicer. I feel very satisfied and confident in the work done and will definitely go back if I have any problems in the future. This was the best experience I've ever had with any mechanic shop in the area. read more

I am amazed by the speed and quality of care these people gave my Mazda. The did a brake repair and fixed some body damage. The repairs are beautiful! I brought it in on Tuesday and it was ready Friday afternoon. When I say they are fast I am not exaggerating. And the workers and owner are prompt to return calls, ask how they can help, and made this probably the best car repair experience I have ever had!!! Been using TCC my entire adult life the staff is always friendly and knowledgable. It's hard to find an auto shop that you can believe in but this one is the exception. For twenty years now when I think I know what is wrong with my vehicle right or wrong the lead mechanic at this shop shoots it to me straight and sometimes it saves me some loot imagine that. You couldn't make me use a different shop, and that's a fact jack ! read more

This guy screwed me good I did work at his home on his appliance the work did not go as planned and I found additional problems when I told his wife there would be additional cost she called her husband and they agreed to pay me I ordered the part returned to there home installed the part and went through the machine everything was working fine when came time to pay he refuse to pay me if he was unhappy with the work he had plenty time to cancel or do a million other things than smile in my face watch me work and then not pay me that was wrong hopefully he treats his customers better than that like he's never had to come to a customer and say we found other things wrong with your car there will be additional cost I'm very unhappy with the way he handled me like a child and called me a crybaby very professional I will not ever bring my car to him and I will tell everyone i know about this guy read more
