I don't know what's happened at this place but the last few times we've gone in, two of the ladies have been super abrupt and unfriendly and they screwed up my son's haircut by leaving two spots untrimmed on the back of his head (completely rushed trying to get him out the door); today my haircut was far from stellar It's like she was drunk when she did it. The whole left side of my head was as if she didn't pay attention to it like she did the right side of my head. $27+tip is hardly worth it for a man to pay for his hair to be screwed up. I trust women fare better at this location. They seem kind of racist as well. Talking lots of trash in Spanish when they think someone in front of them doesn't speak Spanish. For my past 3 hair cut I have gotten I have been disappointed except for my last one they have a new male stylist that I was recommended to by one of my buddies. every clean individual and high recommend him really liked his work! The cons are that the past three times I have gone I have check my receipt and all three times my receipt has the card number not matching mine!! I called my bank to make sure it wasn't just me but neither one of those numbers add up to any of my accounts be careful people we are in the era that we just don't ask for our receipts or just throw them away STOP!!!!!! I love this place! I've been going here since I was a kid and I've never had a bad experience :) I've had some really awesome cuts and styles from this spot over the years! Everyone here is super friendly and really helpful:) They really make a point to listen to what you want and try to get all the details right so they can give you your dream hair. Raquel did an amazing job for me I am so so impressed!! I've had this hair for over a month and I'm still obsessed with it it's so perfect!! The color is amazing and exactly what I asked for, I didn't even have reference photos for the style or how I wanted the color laid out so I appreciate her so much for taking the time to bring my idea to life I had left over red in my hair that I thought there was no way they'd be able to get out and my tips would just not be the same color but Raquel managed to not only get it all out but she left my hair soft and happy afterward which blew my mind!! 10/10 recommend read more

Buyer beware!!! If you are lousy cut definitely walk in the door. Went here a week ago. Asked for a haircut, shampoo n blow dry. The older "hair stylist" gave a great wash but cut my hair only at the bottom and didn't touch the crown. Then blow dried my hair a la 1950. I walked a with a bouffant flip. Absolutely hideous. I had to go straight home to redo it. Total joke. The kicker? 75.00 freakin dollars for this nightmare that I have to go to my regular stylist (who was out of town) to repair. I came in here to get my daughter's hair cut for the first time at 8 years old. I almost backed out and did not come. My daughter's hair was to her waist and beautiful but A LOT of work to maintain. The stylist (I am sorry but I do not remember her name) was super kind and really took the time to consult both my daughter and myself about maintenance and lifestyle to determine the best cut and style to go with. The stylist did a great cut that was symmetrical and perfect. It transformed her from a little girl into a young lady. She even washed her hair so that we could donate the ponytail to charity. I took both of my kids there for a haircut they the man cutting my son's hair tried to use a dirty clipper with white hair still in the guard. I would never give a 1 star rating to Jessica who normally used to cut my hair there, she is always professional, friendly, and never made me feel uncomfortable while cutting my hair. Jessica gets a 5 star rating! Now on the other hand, The lady who cut my hair tonight, she said her name was Lou. From the second I walked into the door, I got a bad vibe from her because she was arguing with the guy at the counter with myself, and one other person there. Very unprofessional in my opinion! I instantly felt uncomfortable with her cutting my hair! I'm already uncomfortable having someone I'm not used to cutting my hair because I haven't seen the type of job they do. When I asked Lou questions she was short tempered with me making an uncomfortable situation worse! Through the rest of the horrible haircut Lou gave me , she was rushing and not trying to do a good job cutting my hair. When she was done, I noticed the so called fade she gave me was uneven, and I had patches around my ears. I asked her if she could fix it and she was rude again! So at that point I was done! I paid the guy at the counter she was arguing with when I first arrived, then left, angry from the terrible experience I had to pay for! After I got home I further inspected the horrible job Lou did and I noticed the spot I asked her to fix had a bald spot! I immediately drove back and demanded to either have my hair fixed, or to give me a refund! Lou did not try to make the bad situation better, she just continued being short tempered and unprofessional! Beware of shady business practices here!!! I brought my daughter in recently for a haircut. The woman did a good enough job, so in addition to the $30 charge, I gave her a $6 tip, all on a debit card. She asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said no. Big mistake! I guess a 20 percent tip wasn't good enough for this employee. When I checked my bank account today, I noticed a $40 charge from Today's Haircuts. Since I don't have a receipt, I can't really dispute it. But that's okay, because I have Yelp, so I can tell the world the following: If you go here, pay CASH ONLY so you don't get ripped off! My toddler, 3 yo hates getting haircuts. To make things worse, most kid friendly salons in our home area can be pricy and poor in quality. We decided to give this place a shot and were pleasantly surprised. Our stylist, Anna quickly understood what we wanted and patiently executed against our vision. Our toddler was "all over the place", but Anna managed to work around his freq. head movements. In the end, she did a great job for $15! The place was spacious, modern and clean. One star is off since another stylist, who during 20 min we were there, managed to cut 3 men hair using solely clippers and showing very little imagination. In my experience Paul is the only stylist Id let cut my hair here, On me or my son. I went in to get my 10yr old son a haircut and a woman named Kathy "helped" us. He has curly thick hair that we requested get trimmed on top and faded on the back/sides, leaving it long on top (for curls). even showing a picture of the cut to the stylist. this woman then man handled his hair, insisted she knew what we wanted, interrupted or ignored us when we expressed concern for how short she was going. The cut ended in what was a generic short boys cut, WAY shorter than we requested. She cut off almost 8 months of intentional curl growth. We lost all his curls, and waisted our time. When we expressed that she did the exact opposite of what we wanted to both her and the receptionist she still had the gull to argue with us and insist it was a "good" haircut. Luckily Paul overheard the whole mess from beginning to end and didn't charge us for the massacring of my sons hair and the sweet receptionist was equally sorry and receptive. Should I return, I will specifically request Paul or maybe try one of the other young ladies but I will NEVER let Kathy touch my sons hair EVER again. Awful. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because as a whole the shop is friendly, and well structured. If it depended solely on this specific experience Id say 1 star. read more

Paul is amazing! I have a super squirmy 2 year old who sobs, screams and fights the second he realizes he's about to get a haircut. Paul expertly works around me holding him (straight jacket style) and gets his hair cut FAST. And not just a buzz cut, but a proper adorable haircut with a perfect fade and clean around the ears and neck. The second we're done the tiny terror hops down, says thank you for the lollipop and talks about Paul and his buzzers (clippers) like he's a hero for the next few hours. They can not cut womens hair. The may do well with kids, but don't listen and olny can do basic trimming (and that is not done well either). I asked to concentrate on my bangs only and I got all it cut even though I asked her to stop, not cut the back and trim the front. After she went over the front three times and I was trying to explain what I wanted and she kept doing the same thing I said I was done. I will never go there again and if you want hair that looks good, people who listen, and hair thats styled or modern, go anywhere but here. We took our son to get his first haircut and it went off without any tears. We came fully prepared and to the right place, "Today's Haircuts" down the coast in Half Moon Bay. They had mini-TVs set up right in front of the animal chairs. Barney kept my son focused and some animal cracker bribery didn't hurt either. We went late afternoon on a Saturday so we didn't have to wait. There are some toys there to play with. The price wasn't bad either. Today we took my 4year old in to get his hair cut. He has(had) blonde curly hair and around his ears and neck. my husband told the stylist what he always says "take a little off, leave the curls, and layer it". She basically did not listen to a thing he said and instead cut off all his hair and gave him a short to the head cut. The curls are gone, the shape of the cut is completely different to how he started. They gave him a "discount" and we paid $5 for his hair to be massacred. I would not recommend this salon any more as the stylists don't listen and they better hope his curls grow back in. read more

Luckily I went to today's haircut and when I entered I got my haircut right away. To make everything even better small conversations with the hair stylist is always great. A great thing about this location is that it's so clean! Also they were playing iconic divas like Britney Spears,Christina Aguilera,Ciara and more!
