If I could rate this place a zero, I would. This was supposed to be a simple cut followed by a mani/pedi in preparation for a long-anticipated girls weekend away. But we would never get to the mani/pedi, we wouldn't even get to the end of the haircut. While Tiffany was cutting my hair I noticed she had cut a layer on one side of my hair about 2 fingers shorter than the other. I simply asked if she could even it out. She became immediately incensed. She thrust the scissors towards me and told me to cut it myself. I have never been treated so brashly it was shocking. I am NOT a rude person and have worked in the service industry myself and I can definitely appreciate that the public can be difficult so I strive to treat service workers with respect. I thought maybe she was having a bad day and gave her the benefit of the doubt but my attempts to placate her were ignored and she curtly informed me she never wanted to cut my hair again. All this I could understand if I yelled at her or treated her unkindly but the way she snapped so suddenly was alarming. I paid for the unfinished cut and even tipped generously to try to end the interaction with some feelings of good will but I'll never return. read more

Came in as a walk In around 1:07 pm for gel pedi and mani They told they had time so I stayed.They had me sitting soaking my feet for 30+ minutes. Started attending other customers that had come in after me also walk ins while I'm still soaking my feed. when they started my pedicure the lady hardly scrubbed very rushed I didn't leave until 2:43pm and i didn't end up getting the mani because I had to go get my daughter at 3pm. This place is awesome for guys wanting a mani pedi at a reasonable rate and your hands and feet will feel and look their best. While getting pedicure, you are sitting in a very comfortable massage chair, while your feet are soaking in warm water while you're getting the pedicure. When you request to pay for an extra massage and they say yes, then two customers walk through the door for a service without an appt. And the salon workers now deny you the extra massage. Seriously? To top it off, they proceeded to rush through the standard pedicure. One week before, I had asked the owner, Betty, how I can get a little extra massage for a special birthday pedicure. Didn't get my ingrown nails that I pointed out. (One of the main perks of getting a pro pedi). $48 for gel on my toes.. wow.. it took over an hour. My girlfriend and I both had a sub-Par experience even when pre-booking and arriving on time. Also Frustrating that they want us to tip in cash. Who carries cash anymore. 3 stars because the ladies were nice and quiet but we had to wear our masks the whole time and it was packed (even though we went when it was open). I had Betty do a fill manicure for the second time. When filing my nails, she was extremely rough & made my cuticles bleed. At one particularly painful point, I told her quietly that it hurt & she practically yelled at me that all she was trying to do a good job & file them. Pretty sure she intended for everyone to hear her. I was very surprised & somewhat embarrassed at her reaction. I wanted badly to leave, but felt I had to stay since it was a fill. When I was done with my mani fill from hell; I wished I'd given it right back to Betty but I didn't want to attract any more attention from the rest of the salon. She may be sweet most of the time, but that definitely wasn't my experience. This place is solid through and through. Most people probably review this place based on the nail salon portion of it, but I also wanted to mention that they do several hair cuts as well. Both my husband and my son get their hair cut by Betty. She is the sweetest person and is well crafted at both hair and nails. I noticed this evening that this salon is popular with men's haircuts and what seems like drop in clients asking for hair cuts as well. I have had regular manicures, Gel manicures, and full set acrylics, all have been consistent and beautiful. They have a large selection of gel colors and also carry matching non-gel colors for those that don't care for Gel pedicures. If I had any criticism, I enjoy going to nail salons that offer a range of spa pedicure pricing, this place just does one spa pedicure, and it's nice and relaxing. Just wished they would incorporate a longer massage, hot stones, or mud wraps, even for additional prices. This place does get busy with wedding parties on the weekends and a solid local crowd during the week, so although they take walk ins, it's best to make an appointment and remain somewhat flexible and understanding. She first said $25 dollars...(which is higher than the previous times for a kids haircut). Nonetheless, I said ok, how long will the wait be? She walked off, mumbling in Vietnamese then looked at me and rudely said "I have no time." The lone customer in the salon looked at me in disbelief. I stopped coming here for a long time after a string of disappointing experiences, but I decided to give it a try again because I didn't have time to go over the hill. Went into images and just had to wait 10 minutes for a haircut Tiffany did a great job I love longhair and I had about 9 1/2 inches of it . She styled it right up to be perfect for a long-haired fancier. Very unprofessional. I called to make an appointment for a pedicure and the lady said she only had an opening at 3:30 or 4pm. I said nvm because it would be too late for me. Then my cousin called right after for the same thing and she told her she'd be available at 1:30pm. Cons: -The most recent change I noticed a couple days ago - some no longer wear gloves to do fills/manicures. ALL wore gloves during the pandemic and now with the most contagious varient some say they won't because it gets in their way. They need to consider their customers health. -Don't ever expect your appt to be on time for hair or nails. They are always behind even as much as 30 min. - Never a warm friendly greeting. - They speak to each other in Vietnamese in front of the customers while glancing at your toes/hands so they're clearly talking about you. Here's a tip, turn on your google translate while they speak and it will document their conversation in English. - They no longer use brand new nail files or buffers per customer just like they had during the pandemic. I use to see them throw it away and felt safe and comfortable but now they reuse them!! The pandemic isn't over! - Upsell on color add ons without letting you know its an additional fee. If you spend the time to read through all of the reviews, you will see a common trend: scheduling appointments and keeping that schedule is a major deficiency (problem). Pro: + Decent shellac manicure Cons: - Unreliable appointments (packs in as many walk-ins delaying scheduled appts) - Ambiance is non-existent - unwelcoming, like a sweat shop, move um in and get um out sometimes no music (sometimes really cheesy musak) rarely offered beverage - have to ask not very attentive with color selection - Pedicure foot massage is minimal almost non existent and missed my ingrown toenail - Color chart is wrong - Move you through like cattle - Pass you around like a hot potato I am a regular at this salon. Today, I called them at 11:15am for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure at the same time. They offered me 12pm and I told her that I wouldn't be able to make it there that soon so I asked for 1pm instead and she said ok. I showed up at 1:05pm and all of the mani and pedi stations were full. I grabbed the shellac nail chart to select a color. While looking at the chart, I spotted that number 522 and 477 (right next to each other) were identical colors and that they had 522 in there twice and were clearly different shades of a similar color. I wasn't received by anyone or offered any water. No music, no soothing ambiance, no welcome. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked for water and was pointed to the fridge to grab one. So I waited for 45 minutes before being seated in pedi chair. I asked for the color for my toes to match the color of my nails. I pointed out the mistake and duplication of colors and told Anna that I wanted the darker shade like 477 and sparkle coat on the ring fingers. She assured me that 522 was that shade. While one lady started my pedicure, Anna began to removing my polish and wrapping my nails with foil. But then Anna moved to the lady in the next chair to begin a pedicure. I was surprised but patiently waited for her to return. The lady finished my pedicure and told me to move to the nail station. I asked if I could stay in the chair and have Anna complete my shellac manicure and she said no, unless you want to wait. Wait?? The new lady said oh I can't fix your broken nail. Huh? You can\'t glue on a tip?? Then she passed me to Betty who proceeded to paint my nails. I struck up an interesting convo with the client next to me and was repeatedly scolded to pay attention to the uv-light to turn it on again. Who the F are you talking to? Fix the light to stay on the necessary amount of time rather then continually interrupting me. I don't continually interrupt you when you speak in Vietnamese to the other staff and ignore me! By the time Betty was nearly finished and applying the top clear coat, I told her that I wanted sparkle on my ring fingernails, but she said next time it was too late now. OMG!! I went back to the nail chart and saw that the color wasn't even correct (2nd time this happened to me there)! While I was explaining this to Anna, Betty was trying to ring up payment rather than address my concerns. I was considering an eyebrow & lip wax but since I was so disappointed and delayed, I wanted out. I left at 3:30pm. It was supposed to take 1 hour and ended up taking 2.5 hours!!! THIS IS A MESSAGE TO ALL OF THE STAFF OF IMAGE SALON - STEP UP YOUR GAME!! You are missing an opportunity to make a ton more by paying better attention to your clients! I know you think that you are making more money by rushing people through to squeeze in more customers. Improve your scheduling and stick to that schedule. SCHEDULE appointments and be punctual. Walk-ins should never inconvenience scheduled clients (showed you several apps that work easier, making your business run much smoother). AMBIANCE: Make sure you have soothing and appropriate music playing at all times (one time they had a very explicit song playing around young girls). Often there is no music or bad musak. WELCOME each client with a sincerity and offer of refreshment (beverage). Let them know the name of the staff that will be serving them and if there is a wait or any other issues. LISTEN to each client about what they want - don't pass them around and not tell the new staff what they want. Language and sweat shop mentality appears to be the significant barrier. UPSELL: Take the time to talk to your customers. They may want other services like waxing or haircut. You would be able to make more if you took a bit of initiative. ACCOUNTABILITY: When a client has a complaint or points out an error. OWN UP TO IT, APOLOGIZE AND FIX IT. DON'T JUST LIE, OR SAY IT WAS CLIENTS MISTAKE OR TOO LATE NOW, NEXT TIME....That shit don't fly! TIP: People will tip you better, come back more often and spend more on other services if you make them feel great. YOU DID NOT MAKE ME FEEL GREAT AT ALL - NOT AT ALL.
