I spent years with that specialist and returned to her in 2021 to complete my treatment, under the impression that it would only take two years. It's now nearly three years later, and I'm faced with two choices: switch to another orthodontist or live the rest of my life with a smile I'm not proud of and unresolved jaw issues. Dr. Jane has shown a complete lack of care and attention to my treatment. For almost a year, I've been told that I'm "just a few adjustments away" from being done. Ten months ago, conveniently after my payments we're over, was the first time she said it was about time to remove my braces. When I pointed out my misaligned teeth and remaining issues, she said we would make the adjustments as I "deserved a perfect smile" after all this time, yet she has done little to make it happen. The problems are blatantly obvious. My front teeth are nowhere near level, I still experience TMJ issues, and my molars are so far misaligned that I can lick the brackets on the outside of my teeth even when I'm completely biting down. When I brought my front teeth alignment issues to Dr. Janes attention she said she "doesn't see it" or dismisses my concerns and said she would "leave a note in my file". Other people notice my teeth are misaligned at a glance, yet Dr. Jane keeps telling me I'm "one appointment away" from being done. The best visit was after she misaligned my teeth so much that my bite was off and I could no longer bite without my jaw popping. Dr. Jane then got visually aggravated with me and told me that was impossible that happened and issues like that are only caused by trauma. The final straw was seeing pictures in her office of other patients with clear misalignment after their treatment. At that point I realized that I will never get the results im looking for with Dr. Jane. I've spent over $13,000 between Dr. Jane and the specialist she referred me to, only to hear from my new orthodontist that I'm still months away from completing my treatment. I asked for a partial refund as I know they spent time and materials on my treatment. Dr. Jane has refused to refund me any of my money even though her treatment has not been anywhere near satisfactory. Now I get to go spend another $6,000 due to her failure to align my teeth. Don't make the same mistake I did. If you're considering Dr. Jane, think twice before committing your time and hard-earned money to an orthodontist who seems incapable of prioritizing her patients' care or achieving satisfactory results.

Since the early year of my youth I desired to correct my gap, but it was not affordable. Now fast forward to the golden year of my (insert age here) life I took the plunge. Spending $2,500 - $6,000 on braces definitely required research. I searched several orthodontists and their backgrounds. I felt the most confident with Dr. Teifer based on her advanced training. The dental office is welcoming with bright colors and smiling faces. That is a good thing for parents with little ones since they offer pediatric dentistry. My visit was on a Saturday, which is the new patient consult day. I had x-rays completed, review of payment options and review of my dental needs with Dr. Teifer. After that, I decided to put money down and start treatment. My employer offers adult ortho coverage, so my out of pocket was not so high. Otherwise, I would not have gotten braces. For the cost of a daily latte I have begun the transformation process. The great part is they offer in house payment options with no interest. This made my decision much easier. There was a noticeable difference in my gap closure and teeth structure within a few months and I still have 12 months to go. My adjustment visits are planned in advance and last less than 30 minutes. The tightening of the wire was really uncomfortable in the beginning, but is manageable now since my space has closed up tremendously. At this point I have to wear rubber bands 24/7, which has taken me back to looking like a kid, but I love the results so far. I called the canton location because my not so permanent retainer fell off ($350) and I wanted to get it replaced. The rep on the phone tells me that I have a balance of $100 from that installation. Here we go with the billing nonsense again! I kindly tell the rep that I paid for my permanent retainer with my medical FSA and signed up for the remaining $100 to be automatically withdrawn from my account MONTHS ago. I've literally had my permanent retainer for months! So, when I call today you just casually tell me I have a balance? Why is this not something that was not withdrawn and/or rectified months ago? Here I am thinking that I'm paid in full and can get my retainer replaced. The rep tells me that she is going to call me back and won't schedule my appointment to get my retainer fixed until she figures out my "billing" issue. Honestly, enough is enough. I used to love this company and what it stood for, but it's just a hot mess. And why is my almost $400 retainer falling off anyway? I am leaving for Aruba tomorrow and cannot get my teeth taken care of. It's like I'm better off starting over somewhere else! Well no longer. Today, I drove to Robinson Dental without once feeling nauseated, thinking of turning around, or mentally cursing out another driver from misplaced angst. It was a freaking miracle. My experience with Dr. JD began a couple years ago when he was referred to me by a colleague at the hospital that I trust implicitly. This individual has been going there for years and continued even after a move now required an hour drive. Honestly, I was terrified. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was apprehensive, embarrassed, and skeptical. While the initial visit was unnerving only due to my own neurosis, Dr. JD was kind, gentle, funny, and was never judgey, dismissive, nor condescending and continues to be all of those things. All of the others reviews are true. He calls to check on you the night after a procedure. He explains everything in as much detail as you'd like. He is straight forward and honest. He respects your time and discomfort. But while all of these statements are true they can not convey his earnestness nor convey all of the little bits that are inclusive in his magic. I know it sounds like hyperbole. It is not. Let me repeat. I did not have one negative thought about my appointment today. What was that? I just saw a pig flying... I also have to give a shout out to Jessica for calling me when there was a cancellation getting me in two weeks early. And to Paula for making me ultra comfortable physically and mentally. And to Dr. JD's father, who always has a smile, a kind word, and started something truly great. I have had my mouth completely overhauled and am confident that it will never fall into disrepair with the help of Dr. JD and gang.
