I started working with Todd years ago (around 6 or 7 years) after searching for a local trainer who could act as a partner in my fitness journey. I wanted mobility and fitness to become a lifestyle and not something that I cycled through on and off, which is how I treated my personal fitness since college. So I've been seeing Todd for about 4 months now and I've lost close to 20 pounds!!! I was a complete beginner to 'working out' and he's been helping me along my weight loss journey every step of the way. I have to say that Todd is best trainer I have ever had. Here is why: 1 - He doesn't play that game of "...complain again and you get ten more!" That doesn't work on me! Instead he just says "do it" or "I cannot hear you." So, I do it and we laugh at my whining. 2 - He is funny. I mean really funny. Nothing is better than a guy who can make you laugh when you are all sweaty and gross and in pain. It makes it all go by much faster. 3 - He really knows what you need to make a change in your body. I knew I needed to do something active to keep my mind occupied. Todd got me boxing! I never thought I would be boxing, but now he has me boxing like a champ. I am even buying a bag for my loft, so I can box on my own time! Bottom line: I cannot recommend Todd enough. Hire him. You won't be sorry. Started training with Todd about a year ago and it's been great! Currently on my second round of sessions with Todd and I've lost about 20lbs with some light training and nutritional guidance. It can be quite daunting looking for a new trainer and I have been so happy that I came across Todd Collins during this search. I was a little apprehensive at first but Todd was so genuine and kind from the first moment I reached out to him that I immediately started my training with him quickly after. I have now been working out with him for the last few years and I couldn't recommend him more, especially if you are a little nervous about the whole situation. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains why we do certain exercises as I am doing them but almost more importantly to me is the great rapport we have built. I have a stressful job (don't we all) and he is always very understanding of my unique situations. My goal has always been more about health and not just weight loss and I have to be careful about my knees. He always finds a cleaver way to maneuver through our training sessions without causing any concerns. He is a funny guy. We laugh and talk about everything, which makes that hour with him fly by. He just makes it easy and I always leave with a better perspective. Challenged and sweating a bit but knowing it was worth it for how great I feel afterwards. The gym is well equipped and you really can't go wrong with this place. Well, what can I say...Todd is the best of the best. I run my own bootcamp now, but before that I was pretty overweight (40 pounds!). I hired Todd and he worked his wonders on me. I started working with Todd in February 2013. I had multiple experiences with personal trainers before, all of which were positive, but I wanted a change. Working out with Todd was different than any other training experience I had--in a good way! Each workout was an hour and consisted of different exercises every session. We never repeated workouts. He is a stickler for form and makes the small tweaks in order to perfect the exercise. I really appreciated this, in addition to his words of encouragement. Another plus for working with Todd is that he does not stop providing tips and advice when the session ends; he is available via e-mail and text for those nagging questions about supplements or nutrition. All in all, each session is very personalized and he truly wants you to succeed and feel better. After five months of training with him, I've noticed a huge difference in my strength and endurance. It's a good sign when you actually look forward to working out! I cannot recommend Todd highly enough. I highly recommend Todd, I used him to get myself back into gear about a year ago and we had a wonderful rapport. He's hilarious and fun as a trainer, but absolutely serious about getting you into shape. I never felt bored and felt pushed enough so that I would appreciate the work both of us were putting into getting me into a healthier state of body and mind. Todd is, without a doubt, one of the finest trainers in the LA area with a plus and a minus side to him..... Plus+ He knows his stuff. Todd is very knowledgable about fitness regimes and can answer any question in regard to the various exercises as he leads you through. He is adept at knowing your physical limitations but also knows when to "push the bar higher" without you even knowing it.........traits of an excellent trainer. His menu changes constantly within each muscle group of exercises so one is never bored with a "stagnant" routine. I've worked out with a number of trainers and Todd is among the best. I've worked out with him for almost a year and I'm looking and feeling better than I have in a long time. He is extremely knowledgeable. I'm constantly surprised at the new methods he shows me to work various muscle groups. So I'm never bored and this strengthens the supporting muscles and my core. This was my first time working with a trainer and I'm soooo glad I decided to do it. Todd is an amazing trainer. He is very experienced and committed to all of his clients. He pushes you to meet your goals and is always very encouraging, energetic and has vast knowledge of his profession. I am beyond grateful to Todd Collins. From the minute I met with Todd for my consultation I felt understood, comfortable, motivated, and most importantly, hopeful. I met Todd while healthy and in decent shape. He worked hard on creating a variety of exercises that attacked a myriad of muscle groups and, in the process, made it more fun. Then I had health scare involving a life threatening pulmonary embolism. The deconditioning that happened as a result changed my life radically. My doctor recommended I return to Todd for professionally controlled exercise. Todd was able to ease me back with carefully calculated routines and valuable encouragement. His extensive knowledge of physiology made it easy for him to structure a routine that was appropriately aggressive and perfectly safe. I would not have been able to make that rapid comeback on my own. And the doctors or my wife wouldn't have allowed it! His education is matched only by his impressive social skills. He's a great guy to hang with. Let's face it, that's a large part of working out with any personal trainer. You spend a lot of time together.
