Adult toy heaven!! Husband and I have been wanting to go to The Todd for a while after hearing about it on the radio. We happened to be up near that area one day and we went...WOW! First off super friendly staff greeted us and to let them know if we needed help or had questions. We're walking around the store looking at products and another staff member informed us if we wanted to look at any of the merchandise out of the box and see how they work we just bring what we'd like to them and they'd would open them to show us. We grabbed a few things and checked out, prices are super reasonable! You pay for what you get. Overall experience was fabulous, didn't feel that awkward, strange, uncomfortable feeling as in most adult stores, no, this one was amazing. Definitely will be back in the future! read more

I went into the Todd a few nights ago because one of my toys had broken and I needed a new one. I was a little overwhelmed by the selection, but a nice employee was very helpful at answering my questions about the different products. She had just finished testing my toy and I was about to check out when the male night manager started screaming at us. He was very rude to me and his fellow employees. Because of his screaming I did not continue with my purchase and will not be going back or recommend this place to others. Screaming at customers is unacceptable! read more

My friends and I came in before closing, (at least 15 minutes before) and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a young, Caucasian brunette with eyebrow piercings aggressively saying "Okay, do you guys know what you want because we are closing in 5 minutes." When we politely said that they advertised closing at 12, they rudely snickered. Never, have I ever experienced such a rude welcome, especially for people who were ready to purchase. The store is amazing when it come to making you feel comfortable. I went with my husband and I am one of those people that doesn't like to talk about sex stuff unless with very close friends. You would think they were just a regular store. They asked if I needed help to find something. When I grabbed something they asked to check the battery and if I needed help to understand the functions. They would plug it in then repackage it and hand it back to me. Even check it was nothin different Han Walmart. Asked if I wanted a warranty placed it in a bad and I paid and left. Def worth the visit!!! read more

Hubby and I haven't gone on a date in ages - someone told us about The Todd. It's a large store with tons to look at. We spent quite a bit of time checking everything out. They have the normal selection of gag gifts and such but also a really HUGE vibe collection. 3 aisles on both sides. There's some pretty high end stuff, too. I just left this store location and everyone was lovely EXCEPT the so called store manager DANIEL. I cannot believe he has a leadership position in this store that's been around since 1969. He did NOT greet or assist while I was shopping. Once I decided to checkout I said Hello to Daniel he did not speak back and he did not tell me my total. Once I left I said thank you have a good night. Daniel continued to ignore me and spoke to everyone else outside of me even to people who were not in his checkout line. The Todd is such a friendly place. Well lit, the parking lot is not a sketchy place. The inside of the store is bright and welcoming, the employees are always friendly and willing to help you with anything you might need. They're able to let you see products, let you feel the sensations (yes, vibrations) of different toys with batteries. They're more than happy to let you see what the straps on certain items are like as well, there is no hesitation at all from them. And you can't forget about the lube bar either! This is the best adult store in Tampa! Oh! And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the lingerie, shoes and stockings section. it's not just for dancers! They have something for everybody. Not trying to be an asshole, I know rules are rules... I currently lost my wallet and have no ID . I'm clearly older then 18 in 6foot 3 and I have full body tattoos and I tried expressing I was a pornstar there to pick up some items I need for a scene . Not only was I rejected. But instead of being like "hey I'm sorry it's just rules I have to follow" The lady was very mean and was like "nope I don't care no ID I can't help you". And " you need to leave the store" . then my friend who has an ID was like it's okay I'll grab them just FaceTime me so I can see which ones to get , And she said " no FaceTime in here you guys both need to leave out of here I'm done" Anyways all in all it's not a bad store. Growing up in the Tampa Bay area, there really wasn't much to do. So I turned my attentions to finding as many porn stores as possible. And, trust me, in Tampa, an activity like that can take up a LOT of time. Tampons, as I am wont to call them, truly like their smut. The Todd was always my favorite, though. Strewn amongst the wreckage of the northeast Tampa ghetto, it stands out like a white and pink beacon of salvation. Sort of like a big, square vagina. Fluorescent lights and an unflinching staff await you amongst rows upon rows of lingerie and toys of all shapes of sizes. Sure, the lingerie lacks creativity and imagination. But, the point is, it's there. The toys offer even the most seasoned perverts such as myself hours of amusement. Looking for a rubber fist? The Todd has got it. If you shift toward the middle of the store, you can find a decent selection of slutty shoes for very reasonable prices. If I were a stripper who worked at the adjacent gentleman's club called Foxy's, I would surely come to The Todd for all of my footwear needs. Onward to the other half of the store - the videos. VHS tapes and DVD discs living together, side-by-side in perfect harmony. It's blissful. Upon my first entrance to The Todd back in 2003, they were mostly stocked with VHS tapes. But as of my last visit in late 2008, they have made a technological advancement and now the upstanding clientele can view their bukkake films in high-definition. It's the little things. The Todd. I don't visit nearly as often as I would like, but man is this store the bomb. The parking is a bit rough, due to the busy streets, but it usually isn't very busy. The selection of products is beautiful. There are many kinds of lubricants available. (Edible, warming and travel-size, oh my!) Massage oils and intimate liquids line the shelves. They have all of necessities for a fun time, and ranging in alllllll sizes. (Seriously, I'm starting to think about getting one of the big ones to use for self-defense. That thing is HEAVY!) If you're more of a visual learner, they have a bountiful selection of DVDs for your viewing pleasure. If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing outfit, they have more than enough options. (And YES! Plus size versions of the outfits too, woo!) The lingerie, stockings and body-jewels (think vajazzle) are all relatively inexpensive. I'm madly in love with the shoes they have for sale, though they are a tad pricey. The atmosphere is one of the best you'll find. I am a fairly open person, but I have introduced this store to people on the shy-side, and they have fallen in love as well. This is by far the largest store of this kind that I've been in. They have so much stuff that it's nearly impossible to make a decision on what to purchase. I can't come here and spend less than an hour perusing the aisles. It's just not possible! They have huge sections dedicated to toys, outfits, bachelorette party supplies, and magazines & videos. I only wish they'd shrink the party supplies and expand the lube/condom/massage oil/edibles section, because that area is pretty small with a limited selection when compared to the other areas if the store. The environment is clean and well lit, staff is professional & friendly, and the prices aren't bad! You can find some great bargains, as well as some awesome splurges. Love this store! read more

It was a little odd to me that I couldn't touch the display shoes or open boxes, but I suppose the store have to deal with ruffians that don't show respect to displays or unpurchased merchandise. My package was opened not kust the box but the plastic wrap holding the product and when i questioned it I was informed that it could've been a tester or opened for someone to touch. I was also told that every package in the store is opened once it's been received by the store.There should be a notice of this posted in the store. Which i didn't see. After leaving Tampa store yesterday and spending about $200 there on clothing, we decided to drive to Port Richey store. What a waste of time and a huge mistake. After a 45 minute drive out of our way to get there, we went in and found at least 10 cute items to try on. The girl at the dressing room informed us that we were only allowed to try on 3 at a time and 6 total for the day. We questioned her on it again (as it seamed so absurd since we just tried more than that at another store of theirs), She insisted that we could only try 6 TOTAL. Sad thing is that there were some great things in there and we probably would have dumped at least another $200 at this store. Oh well, I guess they don't like money. I would love to return everything we bought at the other store just out of principal but I have already wasted 2 hours of my life on them so I will just leave it here and never go back to either store. read more

So we walk down the beginning of the FIRST isle and an older guy confronts us on "what do you have in the stroller?" extremely rude and with no concern for customer service. He's loud and tells us that everyone must be 18 like wtf the stork didn't deliver him.. And with his rude tone points our way out and literally pushes us out the store this has to be by far the WORSE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!! A well known adult store in the Tampa area. They have a decent selection of tools, toys, clothes, magazines, books, movies, and party jokes. There is also a lube bar where you can feel and taste any of the lubes. If there is a product that you would like to check out just ask an associate and they will take it out of the package and put batteries in as needed.
