I absolutely love this place now! The new owners took over on July 1st, and they've already made some incredible improvements. One of my favorite upgrades is the new deck--you no longer have to walk through sand and end up with sandy feet, which makes a huge difference. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced, the new staff is friendly and attentive, and the service has been consistently great. They also have live music four nights a week, which adds an awesome atmosphere. With its beautiful waterfront setting on the lake, great food and drinks, fun live entertainment, and welcoming staff, The Tiki Cove has become one of my favorite places to relax. It's clear the new management is doing an amazing job, and I highly recommend checking it out! read more

I wanted to love this place. Sadly, I can't recommend it at this time. The first impression, was an almost pitch black parking lot, in an industrial/sketchy neighborhood. It was supposed to be a Tiki bar and considering some of the areas we've found gems, we pressed on. Once we reached the entrance, we saw two Polynesian masks, unfortunately, once inside, no totems and almost no "Tiki" drinks. We tried a Blue Hawaiian, which was not up to par, though ok, for the environment. Initially, we were greeted by Country Music, in a supposed "Tiki" establishment. They do have a few nice tiki roofs and even two of the staff (I assume the owners, were wearing Hawaiian shirts). Televisions were abundant, unfortunately, the bathroom situation at present is "mobile". Upscale port-a-pottys. The string lights they have outside, big bulbs and over half of them off when we went. Now for the service, we were greeted by a sign that said seat yourself, it was rather busy, so we decided to sit at the bar. We saw five bartenders, some of whom saw us sit down and get done with the menu, but they seemed more dedicated to their phones than their jobs. I had to get their attention. Five of them and not a single one seemed to care initially. Moving on, the place is right on a lake and if they actually put effort in and promoted it, this could be a spot. In it's current state it needs serious help and some better quality drinks and servers. I can't comment on the food, saw bad reviews and considering the "Tiki" drinks on offer, I didn't want to waste any more money. We (party of 6) visited The TIki Cove on 6/25/26 for dinner. The service was OK, with one of the meals being delayed more than 25 minutes from the other 5 meals. That last meal was eventually cancelled because everyone was done eating by that point. The manager came by and comped the canceled meal and apologized. The drinks and beer were great, but food was average at best. The fish sandwich was the only standout and was a good portion and delicious. The bathrooms were actual port-a-potties with a night light, and the wives were not having that. I would say the Tiki Cove has potential but is clearly not ready for prime time. We enjoyed the venue and may try again in a couple months to see if they can work the kinks out. read more

Overall, I expected more. This place was honestly a dump and we didn't enjoy ourselves at all in the slightest. Not to mention it was so dark and the lack of lighting (even tho they had string lights, it's clear maintenance is not a priority). The burgers are just cheap frozen patties that were way over cooked. They tasted funky, like a chemical taste to it. The patties were also burnt. It was essentially a hockey puck vs any imagination of real meat. 0/10. They were not good at all. The kids nuggets were virtually processed cardboard. They clearly had been sitting out for a while and warmed up. 0/10. The 8 year old said they tasted funny, so I tried one and it did have a weird taste. Disgusting. The fries, they were under-cooked. We didn't even eat them. Hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Zero salt as well. Honestly, McDonald's would have been a FAR better option for burgers and nuggets. These were absolutely disgusting. I don't really recommend ever going here. If you're in the area, go to Ukulele or In the Loop Brewing. Stay clear of this over priced dump. read more

Came for the Moon Market and expected more I guess. They have this routinely as advertised through Facebook events. Tiki Cove is located on a large lake and has beach sand throughout to give sort of a beachy vibe. They even have games set up for visitors to play. Plenty of seating available to sit and enjoy the food and drink options you order. Typical bar food available. Order at the bar and they give you a buzzer and when food is ready you go back up to pick up area at the bar. I didn't see a drink menu anywhere. Bartender was friendly and quick to get our order and check us out. Ordered the Mexican street corn bites and waffle fries with beer cheese. Food took approximately 20 minutes. It's prepared in a food truck that's attached to the bar area. Mexican street corn bites were quite delicious. They had a bit of a spice to them. Served with feta sprinkles but not sure why. Maybe sprinkle with parm cheese instead. The waffle fries were your average fries but lacked salt. And the beer cheese was gross. The description says it all. I think they literally took can cheese and added beer. lol Vendors were throughout but don't see any with local produce. We actually didn't get a chance to walk through since it started storming. I enjoyed the vibe of this tiki family friendly venue. Great selection of wine, beer, hard seltzer, mixed drinks, sodas, good food. All sorts of games- volleyball. Grassy area, lots of sand. Picnic tables, patio seating areas, bar area, high tables and low tables. Live music always fantastic. Look over the lake, sip cocktails with your loved ones and let the kids run around. Our friend had a birthday party here a few months ago and I forgot to review it at the time. However, it was a great place to have a get together! Tiki Cove is kind of a hidden gem off U.S. 41 in Land O' Lakes. It is on a small lake, and has a great main tiki bar. There are also lots of picnic tables, corn hole set ups, fire pits and a volleyball court. There are also restrooms. Since it was January and a little cooler out, our group was the main group of customers there but there were a few smaller groups of people hanging out. They have a couple tvs under the tiki too so you can watch sports, which is a plus for sports fans like us. They did not have food (that I know of) because our friends had food catered by a BBQ place down the road but they may have food now. This is definitely a place that you could spend several hours at, day or night. read more

First time here Friday night, it was a blast. Great drinks and great live music. It wasn't too busy but people kind of spread out on all the table so there wasn't many places to sit. I was looking forever online for a venue in the Land O Lakes area for my granddaughter's sweet sixteen party. Couldn't have been happier. Corey and his team set up a seating area off to the side of the stage which worked out perfectly. Adults were comfortable and the teens had plenty of space for their entertainment. Kids played volleyball and sat out on the deck while adults enjoyed the music. The menu was standard bar fare and worked out well. You would never expect such a place in this area. When we saw the sign we immediately did a u turn. The tiki hut sits far off the street. There is plenty of parking. We really didn't know what to expect. It wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon. Just a few patrons but we loved the atmosphere. Volleyball courts, full liquor bar, they even offer draft beer! There is a small food truck offering up burgers and such but we were just there for a few drinks this time. I would love to see this place succeed. I've heard they have live music on Friday's. You'd never know this lil gem exists until someone tells! Right off of Land O Lakes Blvd ... easy access to a very beachy relax atmosphere. We celebrated my cousins birthday here and had a blast! Picnic tables and bistro sets under the tiki and several under the big blue Florida sky. Volleyball area and a cornhole area as well. This place was huge hit for my entire family. They have a small menu of bar food such as a Cuban, waffle fries, chicken quesadillas, etc. A live band started at 6:30. They were .... meh.... ok. We were all kinda disappointed with the music they played. They started off with Brown Eyed Girl which was great however just went down hill quick. We didn't want to leave because we loved the location and atmosphere but the kinda forced us to leave. We just couldn't handle the music anymore. The staff is very non professional. I attended a charity event for Moffitt Cancer Center there and while walking back from the bathrooms with my child a physical altercation happened within inches of us. The kicker, it was the owner (that's what someone said- maybe it was a manager) that started it with a patron. The owner was drunk & angry about corn hole rules - this is 3:30 pm on a Saturday. At first everyone thought it was a joke but it wasn't, this man representing Tiki Cove had to be physically pushed away from the guest to keep him from fist fighting him. I literally thought that my daughter and I would be in the middle of punches being thrown. The other incident was an employee was yelling at kids that were playing. It's not that he shouldn't be allowed to correct them from playing around a tree, it was the degree of what he was and how he was yelling at them. These are little kids too, young elementary school age and it really scared them. The only positive thing was the location. On the sand next to water. Alligators were near and we were warned so I was grateful for that. The porta-potty was gross. The food was a soggy hamburger. The beer was warm. But if you want to sit near the water with zero expectations this is your place. I DO NOT suggest bringing children. read more

Drinks come with free BUGS. Totally gross. Bartender fished a few gnats out of the drink right in front of us laughing "oh those Florida critter wanna jump right in" just for us to sit down and stir the drink to see a big bug had clearly been stewing in the booze or juice before it was poured. I always wondered what this place was like as I drove by. Now I know. Ambience of the lake and hut were great, but food was really disappointing. No waiters, and no signs regarding ordering or service,no menus on tables. Not very organized for a business/bar. Awkward. Ordered 3 medium burgers. One came raw, one was medium-rare, and one was right. Had to send raw one back and wait while others ate. When it came out, it was well done, with a cut mark through it, obviously to check doneness. Guess they are not great at cooking burgers. Smoked fish dip was not very cold, in 90 degree heat, kind of runny (no texture like processed to baby food consistency)-hope I do not get sick. Hummus came with what seemed bottom of a bag crumbles, but was ok tasting. Music does not go with ambience of a tiki hut. It was pop/hip hop. I expected tiki-type music, and was disappointed. When your high school kids know the rap songs, it is for a younger crowd. I guess it is a hipster hangout. Not sure of restrooms, as we did not see them. Parking area is rough, especially if leaving at night. Will we return or recommend? Nope. Too many food issues. read more

This is their grand opening weekend and I realize there will be a few kinks. The Pros: lake front location and staff is nice, beach sand floor,. The cons: no draft beer, it's a full bar but you can't tell because there is no liquor on display. No bar stools at the bar so you just need to stand--I guess they don't want you sitting there. There are hi-top tables with chairs, but the chairs are extremely low so the table is probably near your shoulders when you are sitting. Limited menu but the fish spread is good--needs more salt. Bottled beers are standard, nothing local. They are $4 for a Yuengling and go to $5. They need plastic cups of draft for about $3.50 because it's a tiki bar. I know they have limited storage and cooking facilities, but more snack type food would be cool like oysters, chips and salsa. It has a ton of potential and would be amazing if they'd invest a bit more money. Will def go back. read more

Cool place, kids had fun playing in sand and volleyball, DJ played good tunes. Great for meeting up with other families and watching kids play while parents have a few drinks, chat and relax. Go early for a good spot, parking lot is a grass field, and was full when we left, we were there from 3:30 to 7 on a Saturday . Other than the tiki hut there are no fixed structures, everything portable including kitchen and bathrooms. They only have a grill set up, so the only food options are off the grill and limited, I would suggest adding a deep fryer to offer more food choices. Paying 10 bucks for a burger off a portable grill and getting a bag of chips seems a bit overvalued. Also, would be nice to add corn hole boards and bocce ball area maybe on side near bathrooms. I don't know what plans are as far as adding to menu and more things to do for kids, but has a lot of potential if managed properly, I will def go back. read more
