We have had State Farm insurance forever. When we moved from Austin to Hutto six years ago, we went to a State Farm location in Round Rock as it was the closest location to Hutto, then Todd opened in Hutto and we immediately transferred to his office. Have been completely satisfied at this decision since we transferred. Summer, has been amazing every time we have had any need to contact the office. She always has an answer to any question that we might have and has helped us so many times. She has even helped answer questions about having our daughter on her own policy, since she purchased her own car. read more

Been with this agent for several years. I let small issues I have with the service slide because who has time to write about every little thing that you find imperfect and I don't like to make a big deal out of things. But the service hasn't improved and this review is overdue. Needless to say I am very disappointed in the service. Staff does not follow up as promised. Trying to get assistance takes a long time due to staff's lack of knowledge on the insurance products they provide. As a business owner carrying my business insurance with them, I find that unprofessional. If I don't know something, there's the internet to find the person who can help you. The form I recently needed submitted by them was for a time sensitive government application that simply requests they provide proof of the coverage I have had all these years. I started the process back in May. I had to do all the legwork to point the rep in the right direction time and time again. Unfortunately, I am not able to submit the form myself. Plus I had to keep requesting status updates as this is a time sensitive application I have on file with the government. Almost a month later, in June, they were able to file the form. Now it's August and I realize something is not right as I haven't received any letter indicating my application was accepted. I call the FMCSA office and I was informed by the FMCSA that State Farm did not fill it out correctly and it's been causing my application to be delayed. If it does not get corrected and sent in on time, I have to reapply and pay a fine. I contact them and they are unapologetic. They say they'll have another rep to contact me the next day. I explain that I have been waiting since May 20 to have this issue resolved and it's already August 7. At that point they transfer me to someone else. They don't even know what insurance coverage I'm talking about. The rep I speak with seems surprised I am frustrated, she tells me to slow down. She doesn't know what insurance I'm talking about!!! She tells me they do not provide this type of insurance, I explain I do have this insurance and that 5 years ago when I started out with State Farm I purchased this product and have doing so all along because it's required for the line of work we do. She finally catches up and sees what I am talking about in her system. She promises to inform the other rep who is not in that day the next morning and promises she herself will contact me in the morning. Next day, by 12:30 noon, I cannot wait any longer and call to find out myself what is happening. Again, no sign of being apologetic and I am even more disappointed to know they have to wait on a different department to sort this out!! Their priorities are mixed up. Funny, that they have a dedicated person to contact you to sell you other things you don't need. When I first got setup several years ago, a representative called to tell me they needed to schedule a meeting with me to review some things with me. I figured it related to my current coverage. The meeting turned out to be to sell me other products, what a waste of my time. The next time they asked me to come in again, I recognized the lady's name and I told her I did not need any health nor life insurance, they said it was an annual review that they do. I did not go and it left me with a very bad impression of the company. They want to sell you stuff that you don't need instead of being experts on the products you already have purchased with them. read more

I have been a State Farm client for 17+ years, recently my agent retired and I had to transfer to a new a agent. I selected Todd Durflinger since the agency was local and I wanted to support our small town. I have received the absolute worst customer service I have ever received in the 17 years I've been with State Farm. If you expect to work with a considerate agent who will keep you personally informed about your policy, policy changes, offer policy advice, this is not the agent for you!!! read more
