The place deserves every 5 star review ever given. I brought some rescue dogs to get photographed and was kind of nervous because we haven't been able to get any great pictures of them in the past. Upon entering, you immediately are greeted by Slyvaine. She is warm and hospitable and she didn't even hesitate to show love to our rescue dogs. The studio itself is clean, the couch in the waiting room is comfy, and the walls are covered with dogs and family portraits. It's amazing. David, the photographer, is so patient and amazing at what he does! He is quick to get a great shot and the dogs loved him. Would HIGHLY recommend! I've now been fortunate enough to do 2 different photo shoots with Dogma and I was beyond impressed both times! When I say my dogs do not listen and are not cooperative I mean it! And yet Dogma is so prepared and has all the tricks, treats, and noises to be able to still capture amazing photos. My Mom, our three dogs, and I went early this month to get our portraits taken, and we had a great time. Two of dogs are harder to deal with, but David and Sylvaine knew just how to handle them. The skill, patience and a love of what he does is how Dave is able to get my two "rescue" dogs to cooperate. My German Shepherd is still a very scared dog and can be reactive if pushed too far too fast. Instead, I had an angel sitting and doing what was asked of her because Dave knows how to work with rescues. I love their work so much that I'm a return customer. Seven years ago I had just one dog and we took family photos with my mom and me. So glad we did! My mom doesn't remember doing the sitting, but I have beautiful photos of her and her with my dog because of it. So glad they convinced me I should include her. Nicest photos I have of her. This was a special birthday because I felt like it would probably be our last one together because she was diagnosed with bladder cancer in September 2021. It was a lovely time at Dogma Pet Portraits. Right next door to Just Food For Dogs! Sylvaine greeted us at the front door and was so warm and welcoming. The check in process was quick and easy. The waiting room was amazing. So many amazing canvases of pets. Some of the canvases had the pets with their families too. My pets and I had such a good experience here. While waiting for the people before us to finish their appointment we got to hang out in the waiting room which was quiet and perfect for my cat who gets stressed sometimes with new environments. Once it was our turn we go into the studio and meet the photographer David. He was so nice and did such a good job capturing all the right angles of my cat and senior dog even though they moved from time to time.
