I say patients, because after experiencing an immense amount of pain in my upper back from working at desk for many years, I started to feel physically ill. The pain from my right shoulder began to shoot to my neck often making me feel nauseous, fatigue, and restlessness. My husband began to research possible treatment methods and ultimately found this company, Evolving Bodywork here in San Antonio, TX. Their reviews were on point, so he proceeded to book an appointment for me. I walked in reluctantly , but my husband said that he had a feeling this would be a good fit for me. I made no attempt to look it up for fear I would chicken out, but I made it with one minute to spare before my appointment. Straightaway I was met with a huge smile from the owner! The lobby room burst with character and fragrance that I could only describe as simply warm and personal. The owner, already geared for this Halloween season, should win an award if there is one for best business Fall decor in San Antonio, TX! I instantly felt at ease, these were my people, no bright lights or sterile feelings here. I began my Deep Tissue Massage journey in a exquisitely appointed room with the most relaxing settings, such as top tier cleanliness, calming music and tranquil lighting. My Therapist was Shaunna, who I believe is a master magician. Not only did she explain the process, she also made me feel very comfortable knowing how nervous I was initially. It was clear throughout my deep tissue massage that Shaunna was not only a wealth of knowledge but more importantly took the utmost pride in her work. My one hour at this magical place put me under a spell so I had to sign up for their monthly membership program which provides so many perks, I even signed my husband up too! I even inquired about gift cards for my sisters and step-daughter who are very busy moms with so many back/shoulder issues. I have two more appointments scheduled and needless to say this will be a staple in my monthly selfcare journey. We often forget how much we put our bodies through, and yet rather than heal or release the pressure we merely endure.
