Then discovered he decided to bond my teeth close to gums WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE & CONSENT! Now my teeth and rough and found out its not irreversible without major work done that will cost me $ and pain! Of course, I went right back to him to smooth my teeth . Antique equipment, caused an incorrect diagnosis. The staff is not at all knowledgeable about dentistry. They billed my insurance and additional $300 for a procedure i did not have done. When I requested a copy of my xrays, they billed me more than what is legal to charge. Took them to small claims court and won. I went there for a toothache they incorrectly diagnosed. I could have lost half my jaw... thankfully I knew something was wrong, and found a really excellent dentist that could diagnose and treat my problem. As a PSA, never let a dentist clean your teeth. 12 years ago, Dr. Wortman was tasked with putting 2 crowns on my back top molars (both sides) that each had root canals (luckily from another dentist that knew what they were doing). He was extremely rude, but I put that aside since I assumed he knew what he was doing. This man has single-handedly led to $1000's of further dental surgery and procedures because of his negligence. 1) On one of the crowns, HE LEFT COTTON INSIDE THE CROWN THAT HE PUT ON, leading me to get a massive infection down the line and needing to entirely redo my root canal. 2) He tried to submit an insurance claim for gold crowns, rather than the standard porcelain. I don't know why he would do this, other than complete obliviousness or attempt to commit fraud. At the time, this delayed my crowns for an extra 1-2 weeks. 3) He did a filling on the tooth next to one of the crowns, but FAILED TO CLEAN IT PROPERLY BEFOREHAND, leading me to have further issues down the line and eventually needing a crown on that tooth! 4) On one of the crowns, he didn't do it properly and it resulted in an overhang which to this day can catch food particles forcing me to floss daily. I first viisited Dr. Wortman's dental office on March 14, 2023. My upper bridge had broken and I needed a new one. I showed Dr. Wortman the broken bridge, which was excellent in size which were small to medium, and fit. I requested that he use that as a model to make the new bridge. The broken bridge had a small gap between the two front teeth which I asked him to close in the new bridge. He did not closed the gap. Once I arrived for an appointment when I was told that the appointment had been canceled, but nobody called to tell me that it was cancelled. I made the trip there for nothing. After initial fittings it took 3 week for the new bridge to arrive. It was as lage as horses teeth. They had to go back. I reminded Dr. Wortman of the example of the broken bridge I had provided him with. The next bridge took 3 weeks also. It was still far too big and the fit was not right. I told him this. He would converse while walking out of the room. The same problem with the 3rd bridge. Wortman was unwilling to have a conversation about the outcomes. The 4th one was somewhat better, but still no way near what I had requested. All of this took 6 months. With the 4th bridge, out of frustration, I accepted it. I told Wotman that it was an outrage to have taken 6 months to get een the infeior bridge. He agreed than tried to say it wsas my fault for not accepting the bidges that had been offered. I told him that had he respected my wishes in the beginning, all of that would not have been neccessary. I asked Wortmen at that time if he could make an adjustment to the bridge as it was uncomfortable and hurting my gum on the right side. He said he could'nt do that. I asked him, "You can't or you won't?" He did not respond, just kept walking out of the room. I forgot to add that now my teeth click noisely when I chew. I would never, ever recommend this dentist to anyone. Very bad communication and service. Awful experience. I should have read the other comment before I went to him. read more

Was a full hour late for my 3pm appointment. Others in the office also had similar issues in multiple occasions. Why make apointments for specific times if you can not even come close to them. Finally sat down for my X-ray, then waited another 30 min for the doctor to do the cleaning. Very tiny office space with outdated equipment. The Cleaning felt very rushed and was painful. My one complaint was brushed off (likely because they were running late with everybody's appointments). I am not sure I trust the X-ray results after this and would definitely never return here. Wish I had saw all of these reviews first, don't be like me and save yourself the time pain and trouble. I would pay to go to a better office before considering coming here under my insurance. read more

Dr. Wortman owns the practice but I was told I would see Dr. Parveen. I went to this office because I had a painful tooth. Dr. Parveen examined me and cleaned my teeth. She said I need a root canal but they don't do it there so I was given 2 referrals. Neither took my insurance. Today I received a Notification of benefits and they billed my insurance for a filling and extra x-rays that weren't done. Upon checking online for this office it seems that this is standard practice to bill for services not done. I put in a complaint with my insurance company so they can get their money back. HORRIBLE. Stay away I saw his number 2 and she was insistent on me having a root canal I did not need, she is not an oral surgeon, I just needed a cavity refilled.... and he is churning folks in and out trying to make money on billing on serial visits. From no cavities in January at old dentist to seeing Dr. Wortman and getting a mouth filled with silver. My old dentist which I returned to after a year (only changed dentists due to insurance changes), said there was no way I developed that many cavities in that short period of time. It cost me an arm and a leg to fix silver mouth. He IS very friendly though. His office also never sent new X-rays to my old dentist, despite me dropping off the $30 fee that it costs. read more

I went to this dentist a few times, he gave me a root canal that had to be pulled out a year later. There was tartar on my front tooth and he didn't even clean it off or mention to me what it was. Another dentist had to clean it and tell me what it was. He does unnecessary procedures and uses cheap material. His office needs an update in equipment and chairs. This is my first time to Dr. Wortman. He was very very friendly which to me was creepy. I told him I had previously went to a dentist I had went to since I was a child and my insurance changed and they didn't participate in the new plan I have. So I was referred to him by a coworker. The staff at the desk was friendly and the wait time was minimal. When I got in the room he cleaned my teeth first which was like super fast, probably not even 5 minutes. But I found it strange that he cleaned them first before the X-rays. I told him my previous dentist told me I needed a root canal but he had given me antibiotics for the infection which seemed to had went away but I wanted to make sure and see if I still needed the root canal. Anyways after he cleaned them a lady came to do the X-rays and she wasn't very nice. She was actually kind of snobby when I was asking her questions about my teeth. They never told me the results of the X-rays or if my tooth was still infected or not or if I had cavities. They just told me to come in for another appointment which didn't make any sense, why come pay for another visit if I don't even know if I'm getting work done or have any cavities? Usually I get my X-rays first and then get my teeth cleaned and then while they're getting cleaned the X-rays are explained to me and if I have a cavity then a follow up appointment is made! I asked for an explanation in the office and no one could give me one. So I said ok make the appointment and I will call to see what's going on with the X-rays bc I'm not coming in unless I need work done. Which is common sense. Idk if they just want a reason to bill my insurance or what. But I was suppose to have the follow up appointment on Wednesday and when the lady called to confirm I asked her again if I had anything going on in my X-rays and she said she didn't know and would have the dentist contact me which he never did. Dr. Wortman is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. I always have a lot of questions (since I've had a horrible experience with a dentist in the past) and he answers them well. He did very beautiful work on a crown that another dentist completely effed up. The office is very clean. The staff is professional and polite. My mom told me how friendly Dr. Wortman is and I even wanted to see the same dentist. I went with my mom because she's been having some problems and needed a clean, which I needed to translate. I asked the X-ray technician to come and get me if she (who I thought was the hygienist) or if the doctor needs me. I literally went down to another office (about 3 doors down) to pay a bill and my mom was already done. After waiting an hour to speak with "hygienist" or the doctor, I was told the doctor is busy and I can speak with the person that room patients. The doctor works as a hygienist and a doctor. The lady told me he did cleaning and bonding in less than 10 minutes!! Has anyone heard of such thing? He should be reported to the DOH read more

DO NOT SEE THIS UNETHICAL PERSON!!! TERRIBLE!! Back in 2008 went to see this "dentist" and was told I had 6 cavities.. 3 on the right and 3 on the left.. Having sealant on my teeth as a child and only 1 cavity prior to meeting this "dr" I thought maybe my oral hygiene was slacking.. so I trusted what he had to say and had the first 3 fillings put in.. unfortunately as soon as I left knew I made a HUGE MISTAKE!! I went for a second opinion and specifically asked if there were any cavities on the left side.. of course the answer was NO and I explained that WORTMAN told me I had not one or two, but THREE cavities that needed to be filled... my dentist then showed me my x-rays and reassured me my teeth were fine. So now I have 3 grey filled teeth on the side of my mouth for no reason at all.. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!! I've been going to this dentist for years. I used to see Dr. Lunenfield because he took my insurance. After I started going here again (it's been a few years) I was assigned Dr. Parveen because she's the one who now takes my insurance. I'm not sure why they won't let me see Dr. Wortman since my insurance has him as my provider. Dr. Parveen seemed nice at first but then I realized that she was rushing ALL of the work she did for me. For multiple visits, each time it got worse. The initial cleaning took about 10 or 15 minutes and then another 5 or 6 to fill two small cavities. When she took the x-rays, she said I needed a root canal for my front tooth. The referral I was given was useless because 1.) they were all for oral surgeons and not endodontists, and 2.) not one of them took my insurance. After I found my own endodontist, he double checked her work and deemed that I DID NOT need a root canal. He was able to put in a filling and save my tooth. As I went back to Dr. Parveen, she was surprised that I did not have the unnecessary root canal. She continued to fill another cavity which ended up being painful as the anesthesia was wearing off. She ended the appointment by saying that the cavity was deep and if it hurts then I'll need a root canal. (This is what she said for my other tooth that didn't need it...). If you experience this, I strongly recommend that you get a second opinion. read more

I had to see another dentist to correct Todd Wortman's botch job. I don't understand how this guy is still in practice. I used a coupon, which I get every month, to have my teeth cleaned. I can't comment on how good Dr. Wortman would be if one was not using a coupon, but for me he did take x-rays and then proceeded to "clean my teeth". He however only spent @ 10 minutes scraping the tartar around the edges and then never even went over the remainder of the teeth with the electric toothbrush to polish them. Terrible experience. Only went there because of an insurance change but will go back to my old dentist even if I have to pay full price. Cleaning is a joke. They did it in 10 minutes doing the minimum. Never saw a dentist and the person who did it did not introduce herself or told me her job title. Went back for a filling. Had to wait 1 1/2 hour before I went to the desk and asked when it was my turn. Desk person said not for another 40 minutes because they had emergency cases. They never notified me and I even called that morning at 8 am for my 9:15 appointment to confirm and make sure they had me in the books. I had to leave because I had to go back to work. Asked for the X-ray which they would request (they do not have digital photos) and almost 3 weeks later am still waiting for the X-ray. Horrible customer service. Todd Wortman has to be the worst dentist hands down. He botched my teeth up and I was in complete pain and agony. During my session he spoke with his assistant about their personal matters like who wants to hear that. On top of it all Todd reached towards my privates to cop a feel.
