I'm had a cake made for my fathers birthday. The cake turned out beautiful, it was exactly what I was looking for and everyone thought it was amazing. However, the cake itself was half cardboard. It was a two tier cake, the center circle of each was a cardboard circle. Meaning the cake was only half of what it looked like. Not a huge problem, but I should have been told about this for the price paid. It was a little embarrassing to cut a cake with everyone watching and the middle be cardboard, especially when you have a former cake chef at the party tell you that is wrong and to get a refund. read more

They never told me it was going to be a problem. On my wedding day, what I got was something that was not even close to what I wanted. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter that was outrageously expensive to find out out that literally half the cake was cream which is impossible to eat. The design was good and customer service average, but the quality was 1 compare to price 10. Really deceiving. Todo Dulce made our beautiful wedding cake. I loved how they had a wide range of flavors and fillings. My husband and I didn't have just one or two flavor choices, but four! We even chose the density and how moist our cake was. We were able to make our three bottom tiers different flavors of white cake ( vanilla, amaretto,dulce de leche) without guests realizing it! I just had Todo Dulce do my daughter's baptism cake and as usual, it was incredible. They made the cake look EXACTLY like my daughter's 125 year old baptismal gown (which is all hand made and hand embroidered). I couldn't believe how beautiful the cakes looked and how amazing the cakes tasted. It is hard to find a cake that is both beautiful and tastes great and this place has definitely found a way to master this! We loved the cake so much that when we got back from our honeymoon we went back and bought a cake for my mom's birthday and just this week drove down to celebrate our anniversary and we had to have the cake! We love the amaretto with vanilla butter cream, but all the flavors are fantastic. The two owners are some of the nicest women you will ever meet. The cakes from this place are a true work of art. I first knew of them from my friend's wedding cake which was the cutest cake I've ever seen and it was delicious as well, which is not easy task. My husband and I were recently married (September 20, 2014) at the Coral Gables Country Club. The reservation/booking of the venue package included several cake vendors to choose from. We embarked on the cake tasting appointments journey to the many popular Miami shops. Needless to say, the service and quality at Todo Dulces was LIKE NO OTHER! While other shops boasted about trendy flour-less cakes and the local celebrities they were delivering to, Giselle at Todo Dulces gave us an amazing presentation on our options for the dessert of our special day. Giselle patiently worked with us to create the perfect sketch of our dream cake! She truly educated us about all the different types ribbons that could be added (colors, textures...), the types of ruffles that could be created with buttercream or fondant, sizes, shapes, colors and so on. Then came the tasting... wow! There was not a single flavor that we tried that we did not like - what a difficult decision!!! I am not a fan of key lime pie, I've never been. I tried it... guess what? We used it as one of the layers for our cake, along with marble and almond! I worked with Giselle at Todo Dulces for my bridal shower dessert table and I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to come up with dessert options for my theme! They had everything from lollipops, to mousse, to tarts! They provided the set-up service as well as all the stands and displays for the desserts. It all looked absolutely gorgeous and elegant, and everyone had something nice to say about the flavors and appearance of the table. There wasn't a single dessert piece leftover! I will also be using them for my wedding cake :) For those working ladies like myself that can't do frequent in-person meetings, they are very attentive to emails which was a huge plus for me. Terrible experience! Ordered 24 cupcakes (8 each in coconut, chocolate, almond) for a party on a Monday evening. The charge was $120 (!) - which I was more than willing to pay - because they were going to make up 6 different colored masquerade masks in fondant as decorations for each cupcake. When I arrived Monday afternoon, they had only created three (not six) different colored masks. That did not bother me as much as the fact that the cupcakes were stale and had clearly been made days before. The frosting on each was hard, and the cake portion tasted as if it had been frozen (extremely dry). In addition, you could not taste coconut or almond in the flavored cupcakes. There were one or two pieces (shreds) of coconut in the cupcake itself. Will not go back and will stick to bakeries like Edda and Lucilla who deliver what you purchase read more

There is nothing worse that you order a cake and when it is delivered it is nothing like what u ordered!! Todo Dulce charged me over $200 for a cake of 25 people that was not fondant but according to them labor extensive!! My chosen design Was indeed labor extensive but what they delivered was a cake with all wrong colors it was all pastel colors when it was supposed to be darker colors. Did not match colors of shower at all and they then insulted me by adding some white fondant flowers on top that looked like they took of one of the sample white wedding cake they have in store! This is not the first time they mess up! One time they even lost our order! Honestly, was giving Todo Dulce a chance since they are on the Biltmore approved list and was going to hire them for my daughters wedding cake. I am really surprised that the Biltmore would have a vendor like this on their list. But that's a separate issue!! Lastly, I've tasted all there cakes. I have bought a slice of every type, cake has been moist and frosting sweet and delicious! But I tasted my daughters shower cake the green buttercream frosting was awful and had an after taste and smell! Had over 100 guest in the Bridal Shower!! Everything was perfect except cake did not even look close to the Shabby Chic theme!!! If u want a reliable and consistent good cake, do not venture to Todo Dulce!! Words can't express how horribly disappointed I am with this place. I would give them 0 stars if possible. I had my first and last experience with them for sure. In the history of my existence have I ever received such bad customer service. I'm still in shock at how little they cared to fix a problem. Instead of saying sorry and fixing the problem they pointed fingers and played victim as to why the cake looked a certain way. It was obvious they misunderstood what I wanted, but blaming me and having a crappy attitude did not help. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. If you want someone willing to fix a problem with your cake and work with you from the start please avoid yourself a headache and search for some place else. You shouldn't have to endure 30 minutes of people telling you they weren't wrong, but rather you were wrong, for them to hesitantly try and fix the cake. I ordered a carrot cake for a friend's birthday and asked for nuts to be added to their normal recipe. I also chose a layer cake. It was the best carrot cake I've ever had and everyone at the party thought so too. The cake was moist and the frosting was light. We let it sit out of the refrigerator for an hour or two before eating it to let it come to room temp. Amazing. The custom cakes they make for weddings and showers were on display and beautiful too. We had a three tiered "semi-naked" cake that just fit beautifully into our wedding, and had that little added "dulces" with a Cuban sugar flare that made our dulce de leche filling just make the whole cake! I give this place no stars!!!! I was beyond disappointed...I told them I wanted a cake exactly like one they had on display and when I went to pick it up, it was not like it at all... Luckily, I rescheduled my party so when I complained they told me they would do it the way I wanted and have it ready the following week for my party. When I went to pick it up the following week, it was the same old cake and the owner told me that they couldn't make it look like the display. Todo Dulce is absolutely amazing! Let me start off by saying that my fiancé and I went to three other bakeries that were supposed to be "top of the line" and were not even mildly impressed. From the second we stepped into Todo Dulce, we knew that our experience would be different. We were greeted by Gisselle who was gracious and attentive. She brought the cake out and my fiancé and I loved each and every flavor. The cake is so moist and the flavors and textures are just right. After we chose our flavors (marble and guava with cream cheese...yum), she patiently discussed the design of the cake with us and drew up a cake that matched our description to the T. While the cake was tasty, it was not what I was promised. I ordered a cake for a baby shower. I took them the very simple pink invitation and asked to make a pink cake with small white dots. The invitation had a raised square that said "Baby Shower". When I got the cake the cake was peach and the square was pink. I guess the lady thought I wasn't going to notice, but it was obvious. We have called Todo Dulce various times and they have not returned our calls. They do not want to take responsibilities for their actions. Please do not use them.
