You can tell that the kids truly love being there; the classrooms are always full of joy, curiosity, and kindness. We've seen so much growth in our daughter--academically, socially, and emotionally--since she started here. She has gained confidence, a love of learning, and friendships that mean so much to her. Royal Montessori School of Oceanside has been such a wonderful place for our family, and we feel so lucky to be part of this community. Sally, Jen, and the staff have provided unconditional care, demonstrated professionalism, and shared their expertise in a way that has exceeded my expectations for childcare. I will be forever grateful for the love and guidance they have provided our family. My first child is non verbal autistic, so I'm only used to dealing with the special Ed part of public schools. This was my first time finding a school for my child who can understand things, learn academically, ECT. I know for a fact I am spelling her name wrong-but you pronounce the name as "Ms. Ken". When I dropped my daughter off for the first day of school, I absolutely fell in love with Ms Ken. And for the entire year, Ms. Ken has been the most amazing, most compassionate, most caring teacher I have ever experienced. My daughter has learned the alphabet, counting her numbers, about all kinds of animals, and SO much more, in just one year. She even came home one day and said all 12 months-i didn't even know she knew all her months!! I was shocked and SO proud of her! I feel like my daughter has blossomed in the one year she has been with peppertree. You can tell Ms Ken is so passionate about her job. I am SO happy that Ms. Ken was my daughter's first teacher experience she got to have for her first time going to any school ever. I am also so thankful that my daughter has learned the love of America at this school as well. She always has projects coloring red, white and blue stuff and she always gets excited saying "mom I drew the American flag colors today!". It is SO important for kids to learn love for their country at an early age, and you just never see that appreciation of America in public schools anymore, so that's oe thing I am SO grateful for. My child loves America and learns about America in Ms Kens class. I'm so happy about that. Ms Cheryl, the director is a ray of sunshine. Every morning I drop my daughter off, Ms Cheryl greets us with the warmest welcome, and never forgets to say goodbye when we leave. It's those little gestures that makes us feel so comfortable. I have two babies that I am definitely going to enroll in peppertree when they turn 4. We love this school so much.

They reassured me that the transition period was normal and they were absolutely right. With their support and encouragement, my daughter adjusted beautifully. By week three, she was excited, happy, and eager to go to school each day. The teachers are attentive, caring, and truly invested in the children. I really appreciate how they take the time to provide daily summaries at pickup, so I always know how my daughter's day went. It gives me so much peace of mind. The school also does a great job of keeping parents informed about upcoming events and activities, which helps us stay involved and better support our daughter's growth and development. My child attended Discovery Isle Oceanside for just two months, and that was two months too long…read more It took less than a month for me to realize I had made a huge mistake entrusting them with my son, who was only five months old at the time. When I first toured the school, the focus was entirely on how much I would be paying, what discounts I could get if I signed up immediately, and what payment method I would use. Not a single word about safety, cleanliness, curriculum, or care standards. Only money. I should have walked away then, but desperate for care, I enrolled him. I still carry guilt for that decision. The promises they make during enrollment, like daily photo updates and reports on feedings, naps, and diapers, are completely empty. Over two months, I received only seven photo updates. Daily reports were not sent during the day, only after pick-up, leaving me completely clueless about my son's well-being while he was there. The infant and toddler rooms are combined, creating a chaotic environment totally unsuitable for babies. My son routinely got only 8-12 minute naps for the entire day. When I asked for help working on his sleep, I was met with blank stares. Their nap policy is basically to wait until a baby accidentally falls asleep on the floor before moving them into a crib. Babies are often left crying on the floor or stuck between gates. I witnessed a teacher step on a baby's hand and saw firsthand how overwhelmed and exhausted the staff are. I even overheard a teacher gossiping to a new hire about how much she "hated" a child on the preschool side, setting a toxic tone for a child she had never even met. Illness spreads like wildfire in this place. Their sick policy is practically meaningless. Babies with green mucus, rashes, and other clear signs of illness are allowed to stay as long as they do not have a fever. They mishandled my son's breastmilk bottles, letting milk leak and go to waste. They regularly used the wrong size diapers, leaving him soaked and uncomfortable. Items clearly labeled with his name routinely went missing. AND THIS IS CRITICAL: at no point was I asked to provide my son's immunization records or a physician's report. In California, licensed daycare centers are legally required to verify and maintain up-to-date immunization records for every child upon enrollment. Discovery Isle Oceanside simply ignored this law. If they are failing basic legal requirements for safety, what else are they overlooking behind closed doors? When I raised concerns to the principal, I was ignored. The only time she responded was to demand 30 days' payment because I was withdrawing him. She had no interest in addressing the serious issues I raised. Only the money mattered. Maybe for older children this place barely scrapes by. But for infants, it is absolutely unsafe, unsanitary, and not worth the risk. Learn from my mistake and stay far, far away.

The staff was so welcoming during our tour, they made us feel at home. Since, we have developed some amazing relationships with everyone! They have been flexible with our schedule changes. You do not have to fit into a cookie cutter schedule, ours went from M, Th, F to 5 days a week. They have early drop off (at 7AM) and pick up as late at 6PM! There was a leadership change recently and the staff handled it amazingly. The New Director, Ms. Suzette, is so on top of it, she is super approachable, gives us multiple notices about upcoming events so we don't miss out and has even started a Teacher of the Month program. For a group of people who already had great morale, she has made the team even stronger! Our son is very kind and somewhat timid when you first meet him. Ms. Kylee has made him feel confident and comfortable trying and doing new things. Watching him grow in her class has been amazing! He has come home using sign language, singing songs, teaching us how to do yoga and so much more. She even helped us on his potty training journey! When we do things as a family on the weekend, he always says he wants to tell Ms. Kylee when he goes back to school "tomorrow". Even the owner, Ms. Segal, has taken the time to get to know us and has really helped us get comfortable quickly. As a busy mom herself, she has so much patience and understanding when it comes to making sure our babies are taken care of. When choosing a school, we read reviews. TLE was regarded as family friendly and I couldn't agree more! They hold multiple family activities throughout the year from Ice Cream Socials to Foam Day to Trunk of Treat to Ornament Decorating.. I am giving Green Flash 2 stars based on a severely rushed recent inspection and the poor quality…read moreof their past repair work. Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

He was timely with messages, and even let me know that some parts were missing for repair and ordered it for me. His quote was reasonable in comparison to the cost of a brand new laptop and now that I've had it back for a couple weeks; I can honestly say it feels brand new. Edit 2: oh so you didn't lie about talking to me you just so overwhelmed you couldn't remember all the people that you spoke to which is why you said you didn't speak to me. And you're not dishonest you are incompetent because you had to quote a much more expensive repair instead of doing quick repair. Makes sense considering you are so overwhelmed with business that you would immediately try and push a longer more expensive repair instead of a quick JB weld job. People if you do business with this man you deserve what you get.

I brought two old short sleeve shirts in for very small repairs but the owner grimaced and remarked…read moreabout how horribly they were damaged. "How did this ever happen??!", noticing a buttonhole that needed a small amount of repair. She automatically took the shirts and hung them up on her to-do rack making it somewhat uncomfortable for me to say thanks, but no thanks. It was then I wanted to know how much the bill would be, and she replied $24. I then grabbed the shirts off of her rack and bid her a good day. I have seen this same tactic used at different types of repair shops where the owner overly dramatizes what needs to be done and takes possession of the item prior to discussing the charge or getting approval. In sales that's called the assumptive close, where they act as though they assume you will approve the work and pay their price for the very minimal effort required. Don't fall for it. I have just now received a response from the lady's husband indicating that I must have visited a different shop and mistakenly thought I was in theirs. Absolutely not possible as I've been in several times in the past. Perhaps showing the shirts will refresh her memory and also defend my own. For full disclosure, the green shirt does have a small half-inch rip on the back side.

Knowing my maternity leave ended at the beginning of March 2024, we started our search a few weeks after his birth. We took a tour at this location in December of 2023 and was told at that time there "should be an opening" for our son. My husband being in the Navy had to have a form completed and submitted before we could move forward. My husband had the form signed by employee Vanessa Jan. 12th of 2024 and was told by her at that time there was no need to complete the enrollment process on that day as it would be completed closer to his start date sometime in February. My husband had birth certificate, shot records etc. needed to enroll on the 12th of Jan., but was still told by Vanessa to wait until February. Two weeks into February and two weeks before my return to work, we had not heard from them, so we called to set up a time to enroll. We were then told Vanessa had gone on maternity leave and they were not sure why she told us a spot would be available, as there wasn't one. They went as far to say we had missed a call back in December (before our tour) and because of this were taken off the wait list since they "couldn't reach us". My husband provided a copy of the signed document by their employee Vanessa completed Jan. 12th 2024 (which he obtained in person) and was still told this in no way meant our son had a spot. My husband spoke to the director of this location who instead of taking responsibility for her employees mistake and doing what she could to make it right ASAP, made it seem as though this was somehow our fault and would try to resolve the issue in a few days with no guarantees. My husband has served 14 years in the military and I am a licensed professional. We have two other children and have used daycare in the past. We understand how to make sure things are taken care of timely and correctly. I am surprised a "reputable" place like this could be mismanaged so poorly and I can only imagine if this is how they treat new potential customers, what other surprises we would have run into a long the way. They have left our family in a terrible bind as finding a new daycare (that I want my son to attend) in two weeks is next to impossible. I felt it was my responsibility to share our experience with the community.

They treated my daughter like family immediately showed us both love and compassion and was gentle with our feelings. I love the app feature, I love getting pictures and videos of how her day is going. She is now aged 2 and she walks in/runs most days. Knows a majority of the staff by name. Is a helper, a team player, has learned her colors, counts and knows her ABCs. I chat with the staff, I walk in happy every morning and literally rarely check the app now cause I am just that damn comfortable with everyone at La Petite watching my daughter. Best decision ever

Both Nicole, the Director and Nikole, the manager are fantastic, and our little boy thrived in the preschool class with Ms. Evelyn. She is truly a gift--so hands-on and dedicated. Our son learned so much from her, and it was clear how much she genuinely loves her students. When he transitioned to the TK program with Ms. Carmen, I was a little nervous because he was so attached to Ms. Evelyn. But Ms. Carmen exceeded our expectations! She took amazing care of our child and ran an exceptional program. Every day, he'd come home talking about how much he loved Ms. Carmen, his class, and school in general. The school is clean, organized, and communicative. I especially loved the app they use to keep parents updated. The only reason we left was that our son aged out and became eligible for a charter school. We're so sad to leave but so grateful for the incredible experience. We will definitely return for drop-ins during summer breaks. Thank you to everyone who made our time there so wonderful. Our son Mason was loved, appreciated, and cared for by such an amazing team, and we'll always cherish our time at Childtime. I highly recommend enrolling your kids here!

Over a year later our family has to relocate, and on his last day in the toddler room I cried again, but this time out of genuine sadness to leave our Discovery family. Sally, Jen, and the staff have provided unconditional care, demonstrated professionalism, and shared their expertise in a way that has exceeded my expectations for childcare. I will be forever grateful for the love and guidance they have provided our family. Out of desperation, I pounced on the first opening I found at KinderCare. I'll forever regret that decision. The assistant director even told me, "KinderCare isn't known for those crazy child abuse stories." And I believed her, without doing my own research. A simple search would have proven her wrong before I signed my daughter up. From the start, it was obvious my baby hated being there -- and it wasn't just separation from me. The staff seemed burned out, and my little girl was left to cry alone in corners. She would scream in relief when I picked her up, and she gave me that heartbreaking "mommy, where were you?" look. She came home with marks on her multiple times. Every time I asked, I got the same runaround: "no one saw what happened" or "another child pushed her." The worst was when I noticed her pacifier clipped awkwardly in the center of her chest. Later, during bath time, I found a bruise in the exact spot. When I called, the story shifted again -- from "no one knows" to "another child pushed her that morning." I knew in my heart it was more than that. The thought of an adult being frustrated and snapping the clip onto her chest still breaks me. I pulled her out after just three weeks -- three weeks too long. She's at a new center now, and the difference is night and day. She's happy to go to school, and of course happy to see me at pick-up, but not with that same fear and sadness in her eyes. Listen to your children, because they do in-fact communicate with you

Ms. Alondra truly cares about the growth and development of each child, and it shows in everything she does. The teachers are all bilingual, highly qualified, and have experience as special education teachers, which truly sets them apart. Their knowledge, patience, and individualized approach have helped my daughter learn so much. She has learned her colors, ABCs, shapes, days of the week, counting, and so many other important skills while attending. What I appreciate most is that they combine professionalism with genuine compassion. They truly love and care for each child as if they were their own. The smaller class sizes and lower teacher-to-child ratios create a warm, home-like environment that helps children feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn. Their outdoor play area is also wonderful, with so much fun equipment that keeps the kids active and engaged. A special thank you to Ms. Elisa, who is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.
