This is an old favorite for my wife. As you might expect, this is set in a former fast food restaurant. We both got the Hibachi chicken, she with vegetables and I without. I got a little more chicken than my wife, but we were both a bit disappointed in the small amount that qualifies as a "meal". It takes a little more than a bunch of rice to keep me full for more than an hour. All of that aside, the chicken is very tasty with a unique sauce that is just the right amount. If you're in a hurry, this is a great option for lunch. Pricing is very fair, with both of us eating for around $15 with beverages. Definitely worth another trip for us.

    Hair in food

I found hair in my food & they refused to give me a refund. Very poor customer service at this establishment. Will not be returning! Very unsanitary !!

I found what seems to be a small rock in my teriyaki chicken. I almost cracked my tooth!

Tokyo Express is the type of Asian Restaurant that I would drive 5 hours just to eat at. It's also one where you can take people who don't like Asian cuisine and I promise you they will like it. Their dishes are extremely tasty and always consistent (and they include no MSG, which is a plus).... Not to mention the sushi is to die for! The service can be a little slow during the lunch and dinner crowds, but they make all the food fresh to order.

Whenever I'm in Rocky Mount, this is usually where I find myself eating. The food is fresh, tasty, and served quickly. I always get hibachi chicken with rice and it is always delicious. Large portions, especially for take-out. I really like the mushrooms and veggies that come with it. The "white sauce" they have is a little different than most hibachi places, and in a good way. Friendly service is also a plus. Probably my favorite fast-food hibachi restaurant.

Amazing food, great service, not too pricey either. I've eaten here for 10+ years and still live this place!

We ordered the Thai Potstickers, the Singapore Rice Noodles with Chicken, and the Sakura Soba Noodles with Steak (both at spice level 2), and everything was exceptional. The Sakura Soba Noodles with Steak were just as impressive -- tender steak, balanced seasoning, and a sauce that tasted like something you'd get at a true mom‑and‑pop Asian kitchen. Spice level 2 had the perfect kick. You can tell this place is run with pride -- fresh ingredients, generous portions, and consistently delicious food. We stopped in right at opening on a Saturday and the lady who greeted us, I'm assuming the owner, couldn't have been nicer. She was waiting on us and in the kitchen cooking. We ordered spring rolls, bi bim bap with beef and Thai basil with chicken and all were incredibly delicious. The Thai basil chicken is something my wife orders regularly and the depth of flavors in this dish made it one of the best I've ever tried. It was my first time ordering bi bim bap and also thought the flavors were incredible. The portions were huge but I almost managed to finish it because it was so good. We will definitely be back to try other options as good Chinese food is severely lacking in this area.

I was having a hard time finding a place in Raleigh that served quality ingredient sushi & was worth the price for the quantity. We found ourselves at O-Ku after a friend recommended this place as her favorite sushi in Raleigh. Immediately was impressed, as we came for my birthday & the staff signed a birthday card for me and gave me a surprise dessert. Excellent service! On my 2 year wedding anniversary we came back again bc we loved the sushi the first time and wanted to have delicious food on our special night. The staff once again surprised us with flowers on the table, a special printed menu that said 2nd year Anniversary & a dessert to go. This place is absolutely stunning inside as well. Beautiful restaurant, they also have an intimate outdoor patio with pretty lights. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion or even just a night out if you're looking for the best sushi in Raleigh! Love ya, O-Ku -- we'll be back!

If it was great and special, pricing would be understood but not the case here. The toro spoon had old fish taste. Sushi rice was over cooked and very mushy. Sorry but sushi roles reminded me of the ones you get in the grocery store. Duck kushiyaki was recommended and tasted somewhat bland and tough. Came here for family birthday dinner. No body really liked the dishes here. Service: our server was very kind and tried his best to accommodate us. Great ambience but I don't see any of us coming back here for food.

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

She went to ask. Then I asked "does the Pho come with basil, jalapeños, and sprouts?" She said she was new and didn't know. So she went to ask. I told her well you need to study the menu because you're offering this food to people. Once that was all mangled up, I have to say that the fried spring rolls were tasty. The house salad was fresh and crispy with the best ginger dressing. (I bought a pint to take home!) I passed on the Pho because they told me it didn't come with basil or jalepenos and I couldn't imagine Pho being served without them., only sprouts. I went for the Singapore Rice Noodles. The picture was beautiful, the presentation was a blob on a plate. The taste was unseasoned rice noodles. No taste whatsoever. No garlic. No curry taste. I could taste the egg. I asked for the seasoning to add to it and was able to get down half of it. I rank it a 3 because the place looks nice and the wait staff was pleasant, but the food was way under seasoned. I'd go back only to buy more ginger sauce. I drive 1 hour to eat there so this trip was a bust.
