We came here on a Friday evening the week after they opened. There was a pretty good crowd, but we were seated immediately. The waiter came quickly to take our drink order and explained how the buffet works. He gives you an order slip with all the menu items listed on it with a line to mark the quantity of each item you order. Except for the salad bar, the food is brought out to your table. I ordered the dynamite roll and the salmon love roll and a bowl of miso soup. The soup was out quickly. It was average for taste. The two signature rolls were larger than I expected. The dynamite roll is spicy tuna, rice, spicy crab stick, avocado, and spicy mayo. The roll was tightly rolled. The quality of the fish was good. The Salmon love roll is spicy salmon, avocado, and rice wrapped in soy paper with salmon and wasabi sauce on top. This roll was good, but hard to pick up with chop sticks as it was large and not as tightly rolled. The second order was for a spicy salmon hand roll and 2 crab rangoons. The spicy salmon hand roll was wrapped perfectly. The fish has panko mixed in giving it a weird texture. It was still good, just different than I'm used to. The crab rangoon was the best one I ever had. It was super crispy. A lot of creamy crab filling, and a sweet and sour sauce thet wes perfect for this. We enjoyed our meal. It is pricy, but worth it. Drinks aren't included and the buffet is $25.99. We will b e bach for a special occasion.

We were excited to hear that a new sushi place was opening here in Manitowoc, so we decided to check it out on a Friday for supper. They had a sign by the door that said their special was by one get one free beer of any kind. Upon entering We were greeted and seated. They had a picture menu on the table. This place is all you can eat- beware that they do charge you if you leave food, they don't like waste. So keep that in mind when ordering. It is all you can eat, so you mark down on a paper what you would like and your server puts it into a tablet. I am not a sushi lover, but they also have hibachi and udon. My order was: spring rolls, house salad and thr shrimp hibachi. The salads are on a buffet line and they have seceral to choose from. I was disappointed with the house salad. It was basically just big chunks of iceberg lettuce with a few slivers of carrot. The ginger dressing was good though. After a while the spring rolls came out and they were crisp, hot and delicious. My husband ordered the sushi and HOLY MOLY the pieces were humongous. All i can say is come hungry because remember no to-go boxes or waste. I was worried about the portion size of my hibachi. I thought oh my gosh if it comes out on a huge plate what if i can't eat it all? Will I have to scrape it into my purse and hope no one notices? Well to my delight, my shrimp hibachi came out as a small portion and was deliciously flavored. There were mediumish pieces of shrimp, carrots, broccoli and onion. I decided on another order of spring rolls because they were so good and I was stuffed. My husband ordered the crab Rangoon and we both agreed that it was some of the best we have had. The shell was crispy and they did not skimp on the filling. They have a dessert buffet with many options, and also Ice cream. For a Friday night this place was moderately busy and our server seemed to be running his butt off, but his service never faltered. He kept our sodas refilled abd kept checking to see if we wanted anything else. The place is clean, bright and nicely decorated with traditional Japanese decor It is pricy, foe the two of us with oir sodas was nearly $70. Was it worth it? Yes. We left with our bellies full and decided on the ride home that this will be on the list as a special occasion spot.

Still absolutely love their Crab Rangoon's and the Sushi, but entrees can be average or worse…read more Have eaten an entree at this restaurant four times and I've never been super impressed. In fact, one time, the beef in the Beef and Broccoli was not edible. Had the consistency of cooked rubber. Couldn't eat it. Terrible! Other entrees were much better, today I had the Sesame Chicken. I'd say that was okay, but our sushi was the highlight of the meal. Going to continue frequenting for Sushi and Crab Rangoon's but might skip the entrees.

Middle of the afternoon and a Sunday and we almost had the place to ourselves. The restaurant is spacious with many seating options. Service was prompt and attentive. The menu is large with sushi, Chinese and noodle options. There was also a nice assortment of appetizers. We chose the guacamole roll (novel and looked interesting, the rainbow roll (raw and familiar to us) and the mizu roll with a crab Rangoon appetizer. Each dish was beautifully prepared, presented and really fresh and flavorful. If this is the only sushi place in the area, it's all you will need. Location is also wonderful, situated across the street from a beautiful waterfront park with lots of good walking paths and benches.

We went for the hibachi service and all got different meats, steaks, scallops, shrimp, and chicken…read more It was so delicious, we got served vegetables, meat and rice + soup and salad. We all got drinks, for 5 people: it was 165, which from my experience is pretty good. The restaurant had a very cool vibe with a colorful bar area, and bamboo to separate the hibachi area from the dining area where people ordered from the kitchen. It was fun, tasty, and the chef was really funny. Would go again :)

I didn't expect that my travel partners would be in the mood for sushi while staying in Sheboygan -…read morebut what can I say? ...the palate wants what it wants. The meal started on shaky ground with the tuna tataki. Dry and somewhat fishy, I had no desire to have more than one piece. The ponzu sauce also did not have the flavorful, citrusy tartness that could have saved this dish. Thankfully, things did get better. The Spanish grasshopper roll was flavorful, much more fresh tasting, and had a nice level of heat. The dragon roll and the crazy roll were also decent but not amazing. Thankfully, the tataki set the bar pretty low for everything else. Service was also decent in that our server was friendly but somewhat forgetful and main courses didn't quite arrive together leaving some to stare at their food while others waited for theirs. This was not a major issue, though, and only helps to explain why this was just an average experience. One final note was how unusually dark the restaurant was with very dark paint-chipped walls. Additionally, the walk to the restrooms took me past a small graveyard of broken and unused chairs. The spiral bound menus were all in various levels of disrepair. The only reason I mention these things is because there's a certain level of attention to small details that can make or break my level of comfort in eating sushi at any particular restaurant. Pricing was shockingly inexpensive for the amount of food. Unsurprisingly, a service charge was added since our group was large - but I was shocked that it was only 15% - which I have never seen. We all made sure to add to the gratuity reflective of our appreciation for the hard work of our server. Overall, not fantastic - but definitely not the worst sushi place I have been. Not sure I have a strong desire to give this one another try, though.

Absolutely the worst hibachi experience I have ever had. We…read morewere first time visitors and came in excited, only to leave frustrated, disappointed, and still hungry. To start, the upcharge for hibachi fried rice is ridiculous. I have been to hibachi restaurants across the country and have never been charged extra just for fried rice. We paid it anyway, and the rice was severely undercooked. Next, each person at the hibachi table received approximately 1/3 cup of rice, and that is not an exaggeration. The portion was embarrassingly small. We were also supposed to receive a variety of vegetables, but the chef forgot to add all the vegetables. We ordered our steak medium and were served rare steak. It had to be placed back on the grill after it had already touched our plates, which is unsanitary and unacceptable, especially since the chef was not finished cooking for the night. On top of all of this, we ordered sushi and never received it. When we raised these issues, the server was not helpful and did not advocate for us at all. The group at our table had to argue just to receive more than 5% off the meal. Management then claimed we were not the same party, despite the fact that we were seated at the same hibachi table and experienced the same problems. Poor portions, poor execution, and poor customer service. This was not worth the money, and we will not be returning. Review update based on manager's response: Your recollection of the events is inaccurate. You appear to be confusing me with another patron who disputed their bill. This was my first visit to your restaurant, as clearly stated in my original review, so I am unsure where that assertion originated that I've been coming there for 20 years. We were not part of the party whose bill was adjusted beyond 5%. We were seated at the same table but were treated differently because we "weren't with them." As a result, our bill was not adjusted in a comparable manner. Additionally, we did not receive the bean sprouts or cabbage that were supposed to accompany the vegetables. I ordered sushi, and the server failed to submit the order until I reminded her later in the meal. The sushi arrived at the end of dinner in a to-go container. Unfortunately, I did not open it until I got home, at which point I discovered it was prepared incorrectly. Contrary to your response, we never received a gift card. Misrepresenting facts is not appropriate for a business owner. If you choose to publicly respond to reviews, it is important to ensure accuracy and awareness of what is occurring within your establishment. I understand that hibachi-style service involves managing multiple guests at once; however, patrons should not be penalized for operational or staffing issues. If a server/chef is on their first day, it is management's responsibility to provide oversight. At no point did a manager come to our table to acknowledge or apologize for the multiple errors. For these reasons, my original review and assessment remain unchanged. Proceed with caution when dining here.
