Paid a higher price thinking I would get a better product and better support. The roof was done quickly and seems to be a good product, but the support is absolutely terrible... Better off elsewhere...can't recommend them with such poor follow up. FOLLOW UP: After posting this review, they came out and saw the issue and said they would be back to fix it. A few days later a couple guys came out, ripped off the warping shingles and replace them. I will give it a couple days to settle in and post new pictures of the repair. For now I will up their rating to 3 stars, still a little perturbed that it took a negative review to get a response, but if the repair is good, I will be fair and update it again. As promised...follow up...the repairs seem decent and, after a struggle, they fulfilled their end of the deal, so i will give them 4 stars . Thank you for finally getting the job done.

I contracted Couto Construction last month for a massive exterior renovation project: we updated to…read morenew vinyl/PVC siding and changed the color from white to blue as well as work done to the soffit, etc. Every aspect of the job went smooth from the initial assessments with Corey, dealing with Mariana in the project department for payments and with the project managers (César and after the first week, Brian). Their construction team was top notch, professional and very pleasant to deal with. They were consistently on time and gave the highest attention to detail and quality. Any questions we had were immediately answered either in person, by phone or through their group chat. Before work began they dropped off the dumpster and porta potty: living in a city, I was concerned space would be an issue but they placed everything with no issue and without blocking traffic. The crew stayed into the evening each work day and ensured that the work area and the surrounding sidewalk were clear of any debris and stray nails while their supplies were kept tidy and off the walkways. Brian and the crew did an exceptional job and the finished product surpassed my expectations. Financially, they were very reasonable and willing to work with us- especially seeing the end result, the cost was a value. They are fully licensed and insured (which is a rarity these days dealing with contractors). I would not hesitate to contract them again for any further projects and would fully recommend them. The first thing they did was to hire a subcontractor for less than $ 8000. He proceeded to do a pretty shoddy job, not taking any meaningful protection against the lead. The quality of work performed was poor and I did not get much value as a result. I complained many times without any effect. For your own good, you should stay away from this business as frankly I felt they behaved dishonestly with me.

Talking with Gary, the owner, he sent someone right away to cover the roof as it was going to rain again soon. I was so relieved! I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. What started off seeming like a good company, ended up not being so good. No communication, lack of…read moreurgency, no attention to detail always a different person on the job which caused a-lot of problems. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.
