When I got to his office, I was treated courteously, and was impressed that one of the ladies had brought her baby to work, and it was sleeping in the office area. I say bravo to him for creating a family friendly work space. Anyway, after I got my xray, Dr. Chancellor told me it was an infection, and what I needed was antibiotics, not another filling. Hurray for him. I applaud any dentist that is motivated by what's right, not what's profitable. I would have no hesitation going back to him for dental care, if I lived in the area.

Dr. Kennedy refused to provide reasonable accommodation(s) for my disabilities as required per ADA and blatantly discriminated against me based upon my numerous disabilities etc., also major violations of state and federal laws. Peak refused to provide pre-operative pain management and control and again refused to provide a specific plan for treatment of post-operative pain management & control. Dr. broke additional laws by wrongfully instructing me to take more of my chronic pain medications, prescribed separately by my PCP for my severe spinal cord injuries, etc., for off label acute dental pain due to severe dental infections because he didn't want to prescribe narcotics for this ongoing severely acute dental infection pain. Due to Peak Dental's willful gross negligence, medical abuse & neglect, medical malpractice, & medical abandonment, I have now developed life threatening blood infection affecting my heart. There is absolutely no compassion with anyone at Peak Dental. They referred me to OHSU knowing that OHSU is not accepting any new patients even emergency patients. Instead of doing the right thing and performing the required oral surgery, Peak Dental (Dr. Kennedy) decided to dismiss me as a patient to just let me die from the life-threatening dental infection or commit suicide when my military service-related PTSD, depression, and extremely severe acute pain become just too much to endure. Wife plans to sue them all when I die. They lie and say they care for us veterans but in reality, they don't give a crap if we live or die as long as they make a profit and do as little as possible. AVOID this practice at all costs. I will be filing formal complaints and civil suits in the near future assuming I live long enough.

Dr. Swiderski told me that TWO teeth needed to be pulled, because the one next to Bad Tooth was loose (fine, just a little) and the infection had basically caused too much bone loss. As is my way, I tried to air a grievance about this (and yes, I actually said "I'd like to air a grievance!"), noting that my Googling was surely as good as Dr. Swiderski's several advanced degrees and his prestigious residency at the Mayo Clinic. Perhaps not surprisingly, I was shot down, albeit nicely considering I was of course talking nonsense. All of the assistants are wonderful too, as I kept warning them that "I'm a baby about this stuff" and "it takes a lot of novocaine to work" and making the sad face of dread. Oh, and the x-ray apparatus they have is very high-tech! Regular plates hurt my mouth because I have mandibular tori (which I didn't even know weren't normal until I was an adult), but here they have a whirring machine that rotates and magically takes x-rays. Also, because I have a lot of stuff going on with my teeth, I was happy that Dr. S. mentioned cost, as in "let's triage and get the most critical stuff taken care of first" - not because he knew anything about my financial situation, but because dental/medical stuff is expensive and most insurance (including mine) has ridiculously low caps on what they'll pay out in total for dentistry. So, the point. This was a complicated dental surgery because so much of the bone was eaten away and it involved two teeth and I'm a wimp about anything dental-related....but I'll have to go back for follow up and probably bone grafting, and I actually don't dread it. That's how nice everyone there is, and how hard they work to make sure this is as pain-free as possible, so much unlike the root canal sadistic nightmares of my youth. It's also nice of Dr. Swiderski to check in the evening after surgery to make sure we're doing okay. Overall, if you need dental surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Swiderski and crew!

At the time he wasn't my dentist but he was the rest of my family's dentist. Recently my dentist retired and Dr. Henke took me on as a patient. My daughter became a hygienist at Dr. Henke's practice. I have seen first hand how he treats his staff and patients! He has a great bedside manner. He is an excellent dentist and well respected in our community. His staff is wonderful. They are very caring, very professional and very accommodating. The overall all experience is like a well oiled machine. Stress free, clean, warm, friendly and knowledgeable in all aspects. I had some super sharp pain a few days after, but once I called they got me in, same day, for a check up to make sure everything was healing correctly, and they applied a gel that relived the pain almost immediately. They called a couple times to check in, and seem very dedicated to making sure all of their clients have the smoothest experience possible. Everyone in the office was extremely kind and professional, I felt very well taken care of. Dr. Welch is an easy guy to trust, and regardless of having a difficult week of healing, Northwest Oral and Implant Surgery really did everything they could do to make sure I was taken care of. Hopefully I won't need any more oral surgery in the future, but if I do, I'll definitely be a returning customer!

Teich at Newport Gentle Dentistry after looking at many other options around our Newport, Oregon area and God blessed me by landing me in his dentistry chair. I can't expresses how wonderful the entire staff helped me through this what I perceived as an ordeal of dread, for many years.
