Dr. Welch did a coronectomy on my two lower wisdom teeth, the surgery itself went quick and easy. The office gives super clear instructions for pre and post op, keeping everything stress free. I had some super sharp pain a few days after, but once I called they got me in, same day, for a check up to make sure everything was healing correctly, and they applied a gel that relived the pain almost immediately. They called a couple times to check in, and seem very dedicated to making sure all of their clients have the smoothest experience possible. Everyone in the office was extremely kind and professional, I felt very well taken care of. Dr. Welch is an easy guy to trust, and regardless of having a difficult week of healing, Northwest Oral and Implant Surgery really did everything they could do to make sure I was taken care of. Hopefully I won't need any more oral surgery in the future, but if I do, I'll definitely be a returning customer! read more

Referred for molar extraction after infection from fractured root. Considered implant but did not want cadaver bone so will opt for other approaches post op. The pre op appointment went well with lots of information and opportunity to ask questions. However, the surgery itself was extremely well done. Compassionate back office team that worked smoothly and were thoughtful, efficient and kind. The surgeon, Dr. Sweeney ,immediately put me at ease with a low key, calm and kind attitude. Follow up call at home post op was extremely thoughtful and helpful. I would recommend this office to a friend needing dental surgery. read more

I will start off by saying that like many people, I have always had anxiety around my oral healthcare. I was so upset to learn that I had to undergo a second wisdom tooth procedure years after having half of them removed, but I am also so relieved that I was able to receive care at this office. The entire staff really is phenomenal. I've had multiple visits here, including my consultation, surgery and some after-care visits, and each time I felt that whoever was helping me genuinely cared about my well-being. Dr. Sweeney is great--very skilled and knowledgeable as well as personable and laid-back. He was even able to meet me on short notice to help address the post-op pain I was having. I've never had a doctor who was so willing to go out of their way to ensure I had as pleasant an experience as possible, and I think this says a lot about the staff and the practice in general. I liked these people immediately. I had to cancel an apointment last year due to co-vid but have kept 2 appointments since then.I feel like they really didn't care if my teeth were having problems or not.I had to urgently cancel an appointment as a fight with my husband left me bruised and I was crying when I left the message.When I called back to make another appointment I was turned away.I can understand why Dr's have to do this for some patients But I never considered myself a problem. After all I worked for a dermatologist for 3 years and I was an Orthopedic Surgeon's only secretary for over 2 years.When they planned to move to a more bone breaking environment I was asked to come with them.They were that happy with me. But here in Oregon I've noticed something.Maybe it's because it's heavily populated with students.People really don't give you a second and if needed third chance! I had co=vid.I had a horrible fight with my husband where he's letting me know there's someone else & after 21 years he cannot help me financially. It was always my intent to work while married but this man asked me to give up any independence, I had to care for his 13 year old son. So I did. Now that I'm older & could use a friendly dentist all I found was more pain in the form of judgement without facts. I guess go to see them if you don't like empathy and caring.They(dentists) don't have a Hippocratic Oath so they just rule on their terms, no room for anyone's "problems". But they have a friendly office staff. Very charming. I felt that whoever had to break the news to me was feeling what I was. On another note.I broke my neck when a double logging truck hit me and when I moved here I took meds for that.I was quickly taken off them as they were/are considered evil.But no exceptions can be made for a 72 year old woman whose life span took a hit that day on I-5 .Wish me luck and good luck to you if you have not seen this group but plan to.Don't ever get sick and whatever you do don't try to explain anything.You were judged when you walked in. read more

My wife had a dental appt at this office at 6:15am. For being their so early, the staff was kind and curtious. Its a small office, but the wait was very minimal even with a few others in the office as well. Price? Well its oral surgery....its not exactly couch coushin change. I was with my wife while she was on the chair, the Dr seemed to be compasionate. A big plus in my book. read more

Before I retired, I specialized in another area of dentistry. I was so impressed with how I was to be monitored during the course of the extraction. Before being put to sleep, I had EKG leads placed to monitor my heart, a tracheal skin sensor placed to monitor my breathing, a nasal cannula placed to gently add a stream of oxygen just under my nose, a finger sensor placed to evaluate my blood oxygen saturation, and last but not least, an open IV line placed in case emergency drugs had to be administered. All of this sounds complicated, but the patient's well being and overall safety are obviously paramount in this office!!! In addition Dr. Welch is informative, empathetic and technically excellent. 10 stars. read more

I was referred to this location to have all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I'm definitely a nervous person when it comes to any kind of procedure like this, so I was definitely not looking forward to it. The office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, from my consultation appointment to the time I left the office after my surgery. Dr. Welch is a great guy and definitely made me feel better about going through a procedure like this. Despite not remembering anything, I apparently kept telling them how great of a job they did after waking up. While I hope there isn't a reason for me to have any more work performed on my teeth for awhile, I will absolutely come back here again if the occasion ever arises. read more

Well, loved it is sort of a weird thing to say about oral surgery. I will put it this way. I was very anxious and Dr Welch and the technical staff were amazing. I came in to a warm room, with warm blankets and even warmer people. They made true on their promise to "take good care of me". Dr Welch has the best hand with a needle, I literally felt nothing. I told him that I was a very slow metabolizer of drugs and he found the perfect combination of treatment to perform my extraction and allow me to wake up feeling fine. I hope not to be back, but if I have to ever have more oral surgery, I will only come to Dr. Welch's office. I will let you also know I am only14 hours since surgery and have only taken ibuprofen twice. Feel as good as could be expected. Great job! read more

I sought out Dr. Welch when having jaw pain cause by my wisdom teeth. The receptionist was very helpful over the phone in explaining my options without insurance. When I went in for my initial exam everyone in the office was personable, and compassionate. Dr. Welch was understanding of my situation, and patient with me as to explain the procedure. The whole atmosphere was calming. I felt very relaxed and safe.. even the morning of my procedure. The procedure took less than an hour from checking in, to being able to leave. I took a quick nap and woke up with a slightly swollen face. I can say the after care plan I received has helped as well, and a follow up phone call in the evening from them assures me they have a patient's best interest. I will recommend this clinic for anyone seeking the dental work they offer. If he is still in business, I will take my children to him for their wisdom teeth removal.
