DO NOT GO HERE HOSTILE, AGGRESSIVE OWNER If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The owner is shockingly rude and aggressive. I was quoted $125 for five items, which is a rip-off. I fully intended to pay (even though I should have confirmed the price upfront), but when I checked my clothes, every single item still had stains. When I told him I wasn't paying unless the clothes were properly cleaned and asked to take photos for proof, he aggressively ripped the clothes out of my hands and began yelling in my face, telling me to "get the f*** out" while refusing to return my still-dirty clothes. I felt unsafe and had to call the police. When they arrived, he lied, claiming he offered me a discount (never happened) and accused me of trying to steal, which is absurd considering he was holding my property. The situation escalated so badly I was on the verge of a panic attack. Save yourself the stress and take your business literally anywhere else. read more

Older Persian man in there was extremely unprofessional, rude and threatened little girls for using his parking lot for a milisecond to reverse back into the street. He started asking weird personal questions to girls about their cars and made them extremely uncomfortable. They were both underage. I was all witness to it. Not surprised about the negative reviews. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. I arrived to an empty parking lot and was sitting in my car taking a phone call for literally less than five minutes. An older man came out of the business and immediately began harassing me, saying I was on private property. I took out the clothes I was planning to have cleaned and told him I'd be taking my business elsewhere. Completely unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I think the man was shocked someone pulled up to his business since the lot has been empty and will most probably stay empty. This place is the worst. They have ruined numerous items of mine and have never been apologetic or understanding about it. Destroyed my YSL T-shirt, completely ruined it. He says it's my fault because it's an old shirt. I purchased it a few months ago. The workers think they can never do any wrong. Completely disrespectful. I usually go to Milt and Eddie's but I needed to get some pants hemmed so I searched up tailors near by and found Toluca Lake Cleaners. First off, parking is super accesible which is a plus for me because I despise going to places with difficult parking. They were also able to take in my pants to get hemmed and have them ready in such short notice. I took in a coat to get dry cleaned as well and when I went to go pick up all my items they gave me back $40 that I left in my coat. I didn't even realize I had left money in my pocket. I have come to Toluca Lake Cleaners since they opened the doors for business. The owner(s) are well versed in taking good care of my clothes/garments, as well as being knowledgeable about the business, they are friendly and always concerned to make sure the details of the problem(s) are solved. Being family owned, they make you feel like you are part of an extended family as well, concerned not only with the work they need to perform on your clothes but the day to day concerns of family and work. It is rare to see and experience in the service industry, such an approach in treating people with respect, knowing your concerns and in general being a step ahead, making the customer feel that they have their best interest and not just to get the work done. I have yet to have a garment come back with issues, whether being not clean, pressed wrong or for any other failure of the work. I have been told on occasion that the material may not last as it goes thorough the cleaning process, or the workmanship of some pieces are not constructed well, even if they tried to be delicate with it. Its not about just making a buck but rather the concern of longevity of keeping a customer. I've been using Toluca Lake Cleaners for at least 15 years. I am a label whore and because I am, I'm kinda picky. Okay not kinda, I'm REALLY picky! They take care of my clothes like I would if I owned a dry cleaners. Although, now that I think about it maybe, I SHOULD own one. Because, I might save some money!! I have to say taking care of my clothes doesn't come cheap. I spend A LOT of money here (it's not a $1.50 an item place) but, I wouldn't go anywhere else because, I believe you get what you pay for. In this case a reliable, (they've never "lost" a single thing of mine) business where you're treated like family, that does an amazing job. I recently moved out of the area and tried some place closer (I felt like I was cheating on them!) to my new home and let's just say never again!
