I was able to make an appointment the next day and had a full inspection done. In a few hours I was given the estimate to fix the transmission lines. I told them I had planned to sell the jeep for my daughter, so spending more $$$ on that jeep wasn't probably worth it. They told me they tightened up and fixed some leaks in the exhaust sytem, vacuumed the jeep, cleaned the windows and left a new bottle of armor all between the seats. The best part of all...they didn't charge me a dime. Wow...thank you so much. A+

I made an appointment for a Oil change, and 21 point inspection. I waited while my car, while service was being taken care of. I met with Tom Watson the owner, such a pleasure to meet him. I was shown under the hood, where I had mice nests, so I had the Rodent device installed also, so I'm hoping this will help safeguard my engine, wires..etc. All and All this was a Over and Above Excellent experience, Honest, Trustworthy. They are AAA recommended car service repair, that was a plus, since I use AAA car insurance and roadside. All The Best of Blessings to you Tom, Tenisha, and Mechanic Team!!! I would give a 10+ STAR!!

At that point, I decided to just have it taken to a shop for further evaluation. I was thinking it was the fly wheel. That tow bill cost me $175.00 After a couple of days Morin's called me saying the timing was way off and it needed a new starter. This did not make any sense as the timing had just been checked and that was fine. The starter I had put on it was the correct starter for the Yukon and was purchased from Autozone. The starter needed is a gear driven starter. (more to come on this) I was told the Yukon had been fixed and the cost was 391.13. The cost included $210 for labor. Which was stated "verify starter isn't engaging the flexplate because it had the incorrect starter for vehicle" "found timing to be too far advanced causing starter to disengage." $166.13 was the charge for the starter Morin's put on it. As we drove the Yukon home it was not running good. The entire inside of the vehicle was covered in mold. When I got it home, I parked it for a couple days so we could get garage cleaned to move it in and clean all the mold. When I went to start it, it did the exact same thing as it did when I originally had it towed there. I called Morin's and told them they said they would come pick it up. I asked if it was covered under any time of warranty, especially since it was drove from their shop home and that was it. I was told she didn't know. After the Yukon had been there a couple of days, I was called and told the car couldn't be fixed. The reason given was the motor was not worth the cost of repair. After a couple days of trying to decide what to do, Morin's called me and asked me to bring them my title. Heck NO!!! Only because what they were saying made absolutely no sense. At this point I felt they were scamming me for my vehicle. After paying them another $211.50 they towed it back home. Once home, 2 friends who are mechanics came and looked at it. Within a matter of an hour, they found what the issue was. First, when Morin's had it for the first time. They switched number 3 & 5 spark plug wires. This being the reason it didn't run right on the way home. They put the wrong starter bolts on it with the wrong starter. They had the starter too shimmed. This is what it needed: the correct bolts and starter Cap and Rotor Spark plug wires to be put back in the correct place I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this shop. They knew I didn't have much money and this was my only transportation. They purposely made the Yukon not run right. The correct starter was expensive, costing $260. When they switched my expensive correct starter with the incorrect cheaper one. They claimed to have gotten rid of mine. That was mine and I never said they could keep it. I can share picture of everything. I am planning to file a small claim. I am not rich and was completely taken advantage of by MORIN's The Yukon is running great no thanks to MORIN

Our transmission did not have any issues, we thought since we rebuilt engine, the transmission should be rebuilt for the long trip. He promised it would be rebuilt in 3 weeks. 3 weeks passed we called on the Friday after 3 weeks & he promised it would be done the following Tuesday. Tuesday came & went, no call! We called him again on Wednesday & he promised it would be done on Friday. Friday came & went, no call! We went to the shop on the following Monday & he again promised it would be done this Friday. No call again! Two months later we get our transmission back & it was totally messed up! It wasn't shifting, whiny & reason for concern of our new engine blowing up because of high rpm's prior to shifting. My husband took the truck back & took it for a test drive with Augustine. He claimed after we duplicated the problem that it was the torque converter & he would order a replacement. We asked how long & he said a week. A week came & went, no call. We stopped by the shop after crabbing & gave him 7 crabs as promised previously. He told us then he would order the torque converter when he already promised he would order over a week ago. We again asked if we should call him & he said he would call when it arrives. We waited & waited, no call! Ny husband ordered a torque converter & installed it, still same problems the transmission was having. My husband & I decided we didn't want to do business anymore with him because of lack of professionalism & correspondence. We went to AAMCO in Roseburg & unfortunately, we had to pay for another rebuild because they have no way to find the issues Trans Fix did to the transmission. They were able to duplicate the problem the transmission was having & completed the rebuild. We got a refund on the torque converter we paid for with Trans Fix & the one we ordered (around $800). We should have been refunded the full amount but grateful for anything at this point. I wanted to put this on the reviews because after being in customer service my whole life, this was the worst & costly experience. I realize he has good reviews???
