Highly Recommend Cleartree Tree Services!…read more This is the third time in 15 years we've used Cleartree, and once again, they exceeded expectations. Every time we've needed tree work, we've gathered multiple quotes--and Cleartree has always been the most affordable or very close to it. But what truly sets them apart is their professionalism, efficiency, and care for the property. This time around, we had some routine yard maintenance and one large pine tree removed due to excessive moisture damage. Their quote was very reasonable, and they got us scheduled within just a couple of weeks. From start to finish, communication was excellent. I received a confirmation text the day before, along with helpful instructions for prepping the area (moving vehicles, etc.). Their crew showed up early--trucks were waiting by 7:50 AM for an 8:00 start--and right on time, the foreman knocked on the door, walked through the plan, and confirmed all the details before getting started. By 8:10 AM, they were working on the 40-50 ft tree, and by 8:40, it was safely down--without so much as a branch touching anything else. Shortly after, they ground the stump and leveled the area so well that if it weren't for the fresh soil, you'd never know a tree had been there. Not only did they protect the yard using plates for the skid steer, but they also raked up every last branch and twig from the pruning and takedown process. Honestly, the yard looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived. By 11:30 AM, they were wrapped up--just in time for the incoming storms. When I sent Eamonn McCaffrey the photos he ensured me that when they come back to grind the stumps that they will take care of the problem they came back grind the stumps and left not taking care of the problem. I reached out to Mr. McCaffrey no response. Some new homeowners think that this is the way company do business. I been in the in remodeling for 27 years and I know that if a subcontractors did that to any of our clients or neighbors they would be held accountable. The crew showed up on time at the agreed upon date. This vendor had previously done work for me with no problems on a prior job and I was expecting everything to go smoothly. I even referred them to my neighbor who hired them for some additional work to be done while they were onsite at my house. Unfortunately, there was a disagreement about what 2 large branches were supposed to be trimmed on a large oak tree. I did not get the work done that I had agreed upon with Jordan. I needed a large branch removed that was in danger of falling on my neighbor's shed. That had been discussed at length with Jordan and was the primary reason for the job. A different and much smaller branch was removed instead. Stump grinding was part of the job and that part was completed as agreed. The stump grinding equipment was left in my neighbor's driveway and a truck came to pick it up. The truck drove across my lawn. This was really not necessary since the equipment was parked in a driveway and easily accessible without driving across my lawn. This is not a big deal for me (my lawn is ok) but some folks do get upset about this stuff. Misunderstandings about which branches were to be trimmed can happen. However, I don't feel that they really cared to try and resolve the issue with a reasonable compromise in good faith. Poor attitude. I paid them in full for taking down a different branch and will now have to hire another vendor to finish the job. This vendor is no longer welcome on my property. If you do use this vendor, make sure you get each branch clearly marked.
