Stopped here after a drive for Saturday night dinner. My previous food experience in Oakland was lackluster so I was somewhat hesitant. Nestled in a small neighborhood if you blink you might miss it, but it has outdoor seating, small bar, and plenty of tables inside. Ordered a diet and a water, as well as cheese bread to start. Next time the pesto cheese bread might be a better option - as this was just a cheese pizza without sauce. I did like it - the cheese quality tasted good. And the marinara was more chunky and tangy. As for the entree I decided on pasta over pizza - which is somewhat amateurish considering the place has PIZZA in its name. That's a rule - if it has a food in the name - there's a reason and you should probably get that. I got the chicken parmesan (big surprise). The portion was massive - and had I not wanted to spoil dessert I may have buckled down (or loosened my buckle) and hammered this down. It was really good - chicken was thin and breaded right. Huge amount of spaghetti. For dessert I got the cannoli. Which were pretty standard - I'm not sure if they make them in-house but I believe based on taste they probably come from a local bakery? Either way they were very good. Would come back and would get pizza next time!

This place had been opened only for dinner until about a year ago now they are opened Tues.-Sat. 11am-8pm. For lunch we ordered 3 subs; they only have hot subs. Really it was very good...l got the Italian and I love a sub with lots of lettuce, tomatoes, onions and dressing! They come with some homemade chips for $9.00. My husband got the chicken parmesan sub and enjoyed it! The ice tea was just ok but they do have coke products and wine.

We sat outside. Cute place. Great service. Food was good. Definitely worth a stop. The salad was fresh. Portions were a good size.

Huge portions, great food and a large variety of menu options. Nice selection of wines and beer and they have summertime outside seating.

The meatball appetizer is delicious with four huge meatballs. We also tried the meat-zza pizza and really enjoyed the flavor of it.

2.5 The thing about…read moresmall resort towns is that there isn't a thing... ya know? Things are what they are and if you don't like it... well... I don't know what to tell you. You're stuck. Oh, before I go any further, this was a pre-lockdown experience. I made my way to Garrett County in late fall. I was catching up with some of my oldest guy friends for a much-needed guys weekend. Being the Type A sort I am (and having never been to this part of the state before), I arrived earlier than everyone else -- much earlier. After gorging myself upon arrival on chips, Oreo cookies and Coca-Cola (a balanced lunch if ever there was one), I realized that I needed to eat something for dinner. I wasn't familiar with the area and the next shipment of attendees weren't showing up until midnight. Oh, and did I mention that I was at a lake house -- with a first floor of all windows -- by myself? And, it was snowing. AND I didn't have cell service. Yes, I was in a horror movie. Trying not to think about my impending doom, I found a drawer of menus and pressed my luck with an easy bet: pizza! In the real world, I have gluten issues. But I knew better than to come to a small(er) town with dietary restrictions and other needs. That was doing too much. Pizza, it was. The young lady on the phone was lovely and when she found out where I was staying, she had to get the okay for delivery (if that gives you any indication of how remote I was... and how I was going to have to fight for my life later). She got the ok and I ordered a pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza. No problem. I was charged a king's ransom for delivery and quoted a long time for arrival but I was alright with both things. I was off the grid, it was snowing and was thankful for any sort of delivery options. After a while, the food eventually showed up. The driver was polite. I paid, tipped and thanked him and I was ready to dig in to the first non-gluten-free pizza I'd had in a while. Despite the oncoming gastric distress, I was looking forward to the familiar taste of flour-y goodness. Imagine my shock and disappointment with what I received. It was not good, y'all. In fact, it may have been some of the nastiest pizza I'd had in quite some time. You see how the earlier review wrote about 'soggy' food? Yep. That. The dough was soggy (see picture), the cheese was congealed and the sauce was tangy. The pie was incredibly greasy and the middle was undercooked. None of this was a good combo. Despite my hunger, I could only suffer through one piece.* I don't want to kick a business when it may be down so I'll reiterate that the employees were very nice. I also thought the sausage (when eaten by itself) was good. The pizza I got was pan-style and the crust was enjoyable. But, I'm afraid, that's the extent of the good things I can say. *My buddies eventually arrived, started drinking like fish and knocked off the rest of the pizza in a drunken stupor -- as one does.
