I forgot her name, but all of a sudden she's no longer there. Then I found out my former therapist Sandi who used to own her own massage business also worked there. She had a strange schedule so it was difficult to get an appt with her, then she moved away. So I tried others they were fine. Some were, some not to my liking. I heard the owner was fantastic, but I was never able to get an appt with her. It's more clinical than a day spa feel, but the place is clean, and comfortable. I decided to purchase a package deal they offered. Everything was fine pre-pandemic. But 2020 came around and we had to wear mask while getting massaged. I normally would be fine with except, I can't wear mask due to my asthma. So the last time I came in for a session, I was able to remove my mask faced down, then face up I had to wear my mask. All of a sudden I started wheezing. I tried to enjoy my massage as much as I could. I ended up sick with asthma the rest of the week, I messaged the business to let them know, and the owner was gracious enough to not only refund my last treatment, but the rest of the sessions I prepaid. Sad, because this place is only a 10 minute drive from my home. I ended up finding a therapist who would massage me unmasked, but the drive was 30 mins. Darn Corona!

This woman literally kicked me out of her office for asking very nicely for her to turn off the television... as flashing imagery can cause seizures for me. I asked nicely 5 times and tried to explain why, but she kept cutting me off and saying, "Just don't worry about it." If I could simply not worry about it without making myself sick, I wouldn't have asked. I then said, "Please, can you just turn it off before we begin so I can open my eyes?" And she preceeded to kick me out, saying that "alright it's not the vibe, just go to massage envy,' and 'this is not the dynamic of Sanar massage." Okay? Then why are you making it the vibe?? She literally said, "I'm a healer! I don't play these games!" Girl... if you were a healer, then WHY would you subject someone to something that would make them physically ill when it's simple enough to just turn the massive television taking up the entire room OFF? She wouldn't let me finish a thought. Wouldn't let me explain why I was asking for this simple accommodation. My partner tried to interject and explain that I do infact need this in order to avoid a dangerous neurological response. She wouldn't let him speak either. I begged her to just please just hear me out , and then she threatened to call the cops... I am taken aback. I have no idea how this woman stays in business when she treats her kind, genuine, well-paying clients like absolute garbage. To Serena: I have to protect myself constantly from triggers in the outside world... I came in fully loaded with sunglasses (at night), ear plugs, a brimmed hat to help block out unwanted visual input, and a face covering because I'm immunocompromised. I did everything I could to protect myself and make my needs clear. It's your job to LEARN about your clientele so that you can best treat their underlying conditions causing pain in the body. If you won't listen to this one sentence, how am I expected to effectively explain my other ailments that may determine the treatment I can endure? I hope this message helps you learn the invaluable lesson of being open and loving to those with different needs than your own, and perhaps open your mind up to the idea that not everyone's perception of the world is identical. If you were a true "healer," then you wouldn't let your ego get in the way of providing care to those who need it most.

Jen is amazing through and through and is so good at what she does. She is so focused and dedicated to your overall health and helping you feel your absolute best. I have been struggling with significant pain from a shoulder injury and not only has Jen helped relieve a lot of that pain, she has also been integral on helping me figure out what is wrong. One thing I love about Jen and her practice is that you will absolutely never feel rushed. At most massage places you feel rushed due to the client turn around, whereas Jen schedules her appointments so that you have plenty of time to go over your needs and address any issues or concerns. There have been several times that I've had to change my appointment last minute and Jen has always been accommodating and understanding. She never charges cancellation fees and has always been able to squeeze me back in as needed. Her appointment scheduling is all online and is very easy to book and cancel online immediately. She also does take many health insurances and takes care of everything between you and your insurer. Jen truly is a massage wizard and every time I see her I receive a completely different massage based on where I am at physically.
