I have a new massage therapist now. I was really hesitant at first because I'm picky about certain things during massage. I've seen Leslie I think 2 or 3 times now and she does amazing work. I can tolerate a lot of pressure and she hits it right on the spot. She can feel the spots that are tight and works on them gently, but enough to loosen the muscle. She also always makes sure that pressure is okay and that it's not hurting me. I also enjoy talking with her. Sometimes I like my massages quiet but most of the time I like to talk. She's great to talk to and it's it awkward. One of my favorite parts is she has me take a deep breath in at the end which is great because I always forget to breathe in this way so it forces me to really relax. I'm so happy and lucky that I found my next massage therapist. read more

In addition to his massages she has been stretching him. Which really seems to be helping. The lobby is very relaxing. The business seems really clean. The smells are soothing. Super hard to get scheduled and the schedule fills up so fast it's hard to get consistent treatment. My first appointment was over six weeks out and there's a hesitancy when trying to schedule it more than one appointment while in the clinic. Which is fine they are obviously busy. But waiting that long for a massage just to have the therapist doze off a number of times is unacceptable. Being who I am I gave it another go because I actually really need this type of treatment... and it happened again! She probably worked on the same spot on the side of my head for 15 min because she would startle her self awake and keep working on it then nod off and repeat.... I just can't with that type of service. There is no job where it's appropriate to fall asleep or doze off while working but in a job like this where you are working on a human body that's hurting and that person is partially or fully undressed you need to have more self control and stay awake. I felt very frustrated and uncomfortable. You'd think with a schedule as full as it is the service must be amazing. Not the case here. I'm not really sure what the hype is about. I will say it was always clean and smelled nice inside. But that's not all I'm paying for. read more

Wow. I had gone in for a quick massage, as my regular guy was booked up and I was in the neighborhood: Yes, I was in Kent, don't mock me. I was able to get an appointment same day (SUPER CONVENIENT) and went in for the new patient special (check their website to see if it's still active) and settled in to one of the rooms. Kyle was my massage therapist. Super friendly, professional and helpful in talking over my concerns and reasons for coming in. Then, it got EVEN BETTER, the massage started and I was super impressed. He was thorough, gentle but firm and kept checking in with me during the process. I left feeling appropriately blissed, and will definitely be back for more. I get massages 1 to 2 times a month for the last five months now. But during the last trimester of pregnancy I've been going at least 3 times a month. My husband pays for us to have a monthly membership at a popular place but I like to supplement that with my own location finds. I like going to different places to keep it interesting and trying to find 'the place' that just makes you not want to go anywhere else. I like the full experience from atmosphere, to decor, to technique, to value, and of course getting what's promised. This week I went to Evergreen Massage Therapy. They have a $56 new patient special. And that's exactly how you'll feel when checking in here. Like you're at a Dr.'s office. Office decor is not special or 'warm', but luckily the room I had the massage in was nice. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I love my weekly massages to help me relax, relieve stress and hopefully relieve pain. My masseuse was very nice but there was a lot of talking during the first half of the massage, even when I wrote I like a 'quiet and relaxing' massage specifically on the paperwork. Also, even though she's an LMP I don't believe she is a certified in prenatal or postpartum, (meaning took extra classes or continuing education for prenatal/postpartum women). She told me in advance that she would only use light pressure on my legs and feet which is fine, but in reality, it ended up being no more than rubbing the oil on my legs for 10 seconds and 10 seconds on my feet (I was actually counting for my left foot after I realized how short it was on my right). There was very little massage on my hands and fingers, just oil application really. I was really hoping for some kind of lymphatic drainage from the foot area. I can understand being hesitant to hit a reflexology spot but after seeing someone specifically trained in Pregnancy massage that not only propped up my legs at the end to do a nice hot towel wrap, breasts and belly massage in Vancouver Canada two weeks ago, (not that I was expecting this here) you can definitely tell when someone is comfortable in their craft and knows what they're doing. She did tell me she hadn't done a pregnancy massage in two years :0 and she apologized if her technique wasn't quite perfect. I don't fault her for this, but Evergreen Massage. Why in the world would they put someone who doesn't regularly do prenatal massage on a 36 week pregnant woman? To her credit, she had a really good technique on my upper and lower back that seemed to hit specific points and not just basic swedish. Also, their website says they do 60min massage. It isnt. It's 50 min. We started at 2:50 and ended at 3:40. That's fine if you want to count getting dressed and undressed as your first 5 and last 5 min of the session. But just advertise that you do a 50min massage, not a 60 min one. Oh well, I look forward to my couple's massage on Valentine's Day at a nice hotel spa next week. read more

Teri Green is the most caring and talented massage therapist that I've ever seen. I have gone to a chiropractor, 2 physical therapists and had 2 prolotherapy treatments that did very little to improve my condition. But with only 3 treatments with Teri I have improved so much that I've reduced my pain medicine in half. Teri makes me feel important and I know she truly cares how I'm doing. I've seen a different therapist in there past that made me feel like a paycheck. Teri REALLY listens. Any negative reviews seem like they are about issues that are out of their control or the patient is asking something of them that they legally can not do. Please don't let the negative reviews prevent you from going here. They are not representative of the professionalism of this organization. Jaya, the office assistant, really is amazing too. She really knows her stuff but also makes me feel important. She is the most polite and personable office assistant I've ever seen. I feel important and like a friend with Teri and Jaya. I truly believe that Teri has surrounded herself and built her organization with like-minded staff that you really can't go wrong here. read more

I went here for a facial, and it was so wonderful. The quality of the service was excellent, Valerie was so kind and genuinely cared about my skincare needs, as well as my comfort during the facial. She gave tips about skincare in response to my concerns, and good recommendations to consider. My skin felt so nice afterwards, including my hands and arms after the exfoliation, and my shoulders after the massage. Very professional, really an excellent place. I've had many good massages at this location. Unfortunately, I have to give a review based on my experience with the front office/billing staff. My insurance does not require a referral from a doctor to get a massage covered by insurance. When I visited a few months ago, I paid my co-pay plus tip and left happy and with reduced pain. A few weeks after my visit, I started getting phone calls asking for me to pay the remaining balance because without a diagnosis code, they didn't know how to bill insurance. I explained a few times that if they called my insurance, they would be able to get help. They repeatedly called me asking me to pay. I repeatedly asked them to contact my insurance. After a few calls back and forth, I called my insurance and they agreed to call Evergreen Massage therapy and walk them through the process. I never heard from Evergreen Massage Therapy again. I called today to make sure it was all taken care of and the woman on the phone responded that it was. I mentioned that I thought they might apologize for all the phone calls and forcing me to contact my insurance when I had asked them to do it. She said "nope, there is nothing to apologize for." Very poor customer service that left me feeling harassed and unhappy. It's too bad, because my massages here have been very good and now I have to find a new place to go. read more

I went in to see Tracie Thomson because I was getting chronic headaches and my neck and upper shoulders were pretty tight. A few weeks later and I still haven't gotten a headache! Plus, I felt comfortable the entire time and I really appreciated how Tracie checked in with me periodically to make sure the pressure was good and not painful. I experienced the worst service with the Kent location, rep by the name of Gea(Ja-yah) is unprofessional because I had a question and didn't know the difference between things she told me "she has a job" "has another call to take" also told me I must not have a job since i'm calling for questions and said if I have anymore questions I can email and then hung up on me. When I called back the owner Teri said she heard the whole call and started yelling at me, and said it is ok for her employees to hang up when they get frustrated. I would not recommend this place, I was involved in a MVA and after my first visit my pain feels worse than it did. The rep in the Covington office Kelsey seems really nice, but if you have questions don't call the Kent location they hang up when they get frustrated and don't know the answers to you questions. Also their massage is not 60min more like 40-50min their front desk.billing department is unprofessional. read more
