I wanted to relate my experience from over 2 years ago with the practice, and offer my sincere thank you to the medical professionals that I encountered. In January of 2024, I spent the week skiing with friends. Even at the age of 72, I'm normally acclimated to the altitude within a day or two. However, that year, I found myself out of breath after just a few pitches. I thought I had some type of chest congestion, and made an appointment at Aspen Medical Care. I don't recall the name of the physician who treated me, but almost immediately, after listening to my heart, she decided to hook me up for a quick EKG. She determined that I had A-fib, immediately put me on a blood thinner, and suggested to see a cardiologist as soon as I returned home. Bottom line, after a cardioversion that didn't work, and an ablation that did, I have been A-fib free since then. I attribute my health to that wonderful doctor who treated me that day.

Hi, I have had several interactions with Elizabeth who answers the phone for Aspen Sports Medicine…read moreand sets up the appointments and I cannot emphasize enough how DIFFICULT she is to work with. Today she mentioned that AETNA does not cover dry needling, that is actually a false claim. I called AETNA and got them on the phone so they could explain to her they do cover dry needling and when AETNA asked what billing code they use for dry needling Elizabeth refused to provide it. When I asked if I could speak to my therapist, Ashley, prior to my visit so I could get the billing code she said no that is not possible. When I asked if I could set up a call to talk to the owner, Stan, prior to my visit she said no that is not possible. When I asked if Stan was in this week so I could pop in to chat with him she refused to answer if he was in. She went on to tell me I could Google the billing code and that she didn't even know if the therapist, Ashley, would be willing to bill AETNA for dry needling. So I give Noel a low rating for: guiding me towards the apparent wrong type of repair for my arthritic big toe (implant over fusion) while assuring me that his surgical plans were built on industry Gold Standards; for selecting a piece of surgical hardware that was rated for low activity only, and then installing that hardware in my active body in a manner that seems unpopular to those in the global podiatrist community; for receiving two different types of staph infections after office visits; for having to transfer care to Denver surgeons while things snowballed through three more salvage-attempt surgeries until amputation; for his lack of accountability, restitution, or admission of any wrongdoing; and for leaving me to fight my new long-list of health problems related to my experiences under his care.

So, the club is fairly nice, and the massage area is all you'd expect (warm, quiet, well stocked), and the locker rooms are very passable. BUT, I expect more than just "good" from a place like this. If you're going to charge $140 for a 50 minute massage, bring the "great". Get me a steam shower or a cucumber in my water, something.
