In the mood for rose, we purchased a bottle of the reserve and enjoyed it with a charcuterie board. White Horse Winery is dog friendly, imperative since I have a little furry house guest this week. Saturday afternoon we were entertained by singer/guitarist Zac Run. (Zac makes his rounds at restaurants, local wineries and distilleries. He's quite good!) By mid-afternoon the winery was hopping with a birthday gathering and what looked like two bachelorette parties. There's plenty of seating on the porch, inside and on the grounds. Their tasting room is beautiful but super cozy. I immediately felt relaxed the second I walked in. The winery is surrounded by forest and farmland. A picturesque landscape to admire while you drink wine! We sampled a bunch of their wines, and I finally tried their famous Shamong Blush and I get the hype now. It was smooth, sweet and went down easily. I really also enjoyed the Shamong Red and the Perfect Pear! Highly recommend doing a flight to sample different types of wines. They do have food onsite which they get from Summit Catering -- at the time of our visit (February 2025), we got the flatbread, cheeseboard, mac & cheese bites, and baked brie. Everything paired so well with the wine and just made it feel like a whole experience, not just a tasting. This is such a good spot to spend the day with your people. Date night, girls' day, family time -- you could easily hang here for hours like we did! And their event space is so pretty. Wine slushies are my new favorite drink…read more Fellow Yelper Dee M and I headed over to Natali for "Wine Down Wednesday", an event they hold every week during the summer season. This no-admission-fee event offers food for purchase from a local caterer, wine and my beloved wine slushies. There was a young man singing and playing guitar. They also have their tasting room and store open for purchases. The location is lovely, rustic but comfortable, they've built a lovely building and covered porch. There were patio tables and chairs both under cover and out along the vineyard. We stopped first at the local catering tent. I got the pasta salad, which was delicious. Nice, firm pasta with a lovely dressing and fresh, crisp veggies. Very nice on a warm evening. Then to the slushies - which were all kinds of yum, kind of like a berry pina colada, very tropical. There were people milling about, we joined another group at a large table, a group of ladies, very nice. All in all, a pleasant evening. We decided we'd definitely come again next year. The woman was hesitant to let us sit but did. I really wish wineries would offer bar stools so you don't have to stand for your entire tasting. Since we were able to sit and relax we ordered a cheese and cracker platter. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food we received. After about 30 minutes there a huge crowd of people arrived. The one employee was completely overwhelmed. Finally an older gentleman came out to help her. Although the woman helping us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine the fact that she was spread so thin made it tough to get any personalized attention here. We got to sample every wine and ended up leaving with a case for an extremely reasonable price. You cannot buy Balic in stores, but you may be lucky finding a restaurant that carries them exclusively. This is a must while travelling south, also, try the blackberry wine because it is exquisite.

This one was outstanding, definitely tastes like Amaretto without the harsh alcohol flavor. *Smores Cream Wine - It was good, definitely like a smores. *Mocha Java Cream Wine - Our server suggested us to try this one as it was his favorite. We both dislike coffee so we were not expecting to care for this one, but we liked it more than the Smores! Definitely very chocolatey! *Strawberry Mango Cider - This was strong in strawberry with the mango being an aftertaste, but still very good and sweet! *Peach Ginger Cider - This was definitely strong in ginger, almost too much, as I would prefer a stronger peach flavor, but it was still good.
