GALLOWAY: Tomasello Winery has been around for over 90 years and we had the pleasure of visiting one of their tasting rooms in Historic Smithville! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside this location, when not too crowded. Tomasello has a huge variety of wines from your classic reds and whites to sweet fruit wines, cream dessert wines, their new ciders, and so much more. We had a sampling in their adorable and vintage tasting room that was decked out for St. Patrick's Day. In addition to a tasting, you can buy bottles, gifts, and chocolates!

Enjoyed wine tasting here paired with handmade truffles...staff was really friendly and helpful. $10 plus tax for 5 tastings - pick the wines you wish to sample from the list. Was already prepared ahead of the seeing the list from walking around the winery to see what wines they had. The color tags were helpful as well: pink = dry wine, green = semi-dry wine, orange = sweet wine. Selected 5 for the tasting and decided to pair with a couple of truffles. $3.25 for truffles - showgirls truffle was very good. Of the 5 wines, enjoyed the Shore House Red the best and purchased a bottle. Good to be able to try a tasting before deciding to purchase. There were select wines that were 25% off as per the display. The have birthday cards by birth year too... would come back again while in the area. Tomasello Winery also has another location here as well...

Flavorful, delicious, quaint setting. Good to the last drop Ching Ching

This place had a bit of an old timey vibe to it, with wine-themed decor sprinkled throughout. We did the wine tasting and tried 8 wines each. The wine glass that came with that package was actually plain (did not have any writing on the glass, which the glass did for the 5 tastings package). I think next time I would prefer to go to an actual vineyard.

We visit Tomasello in Smithville once a year on our girls trip to Atlantic City... so that means I've been coming here since 2012! The staff are always friendly and immediately greet you when you walk in. They have a wide variety of wines from dry to sweet, reds to whites to dessert wines. They even have hard cider available (strawberry mango, plain cider, and pineapple). You can pay to do a tasting and get a Tomasello glass to keep. If you like sweet wines, this is the place for you - they offer a wide variety of fruit moscatos. Everything I've tried from here has been great!

Upon arrival, (we went to the valley green side, the one next to the carousel.) Lois and Troy were amazing! So friendly and helpful, we were the only ones in there at the time, and we were cracking up like old friends. the wine tasting was fabulous, and those homemade chocolates! Run, do not walk, to the dark chocolate covered toffee bars with salt sprinkled on top. I am so glad the Groupon came with a membership, we're already planning our return in the next day or two, and can't wait to go to Hammonton, NJ to view their vineyard & restaurant. We are new Tomasello converts! *The award winning cab is DIVINE!

I took mostly sweet and my husband got mostly dry. The lady at the register was not the friendliest of hosts and ultimately made us feel pretty unwelcome. The store is quaint and reminds me of an older Italian bakery. I find Tomasello's sweet wines to some of the best I've tasted. I typically enjoy a semi-sweet wines but I really enjoy their fruit moscatos. My favorites from today are the Daffodil wine, the watermelon moscato, broomstick brew, and the Reiner rose. My least favorites were the cookies and cream wine and the ports. I just don't think cream wines are for me. I generally like ports but these were pretty syrupy. Overall, this was not my best experience at Tomasello, but since my other experiences have been so much better, I'll be back.

White Horse is located about an hour from Philadelphia. The property is beautiful, the staff laid back & friendly. We sampled two flights, three tastes in each. Some selections didn't send me (like Albarino and Merlot.). I loved the Cab Franc, but my family did not. (Good thing, since it's $42.50 a bottle.). In the mood for rose, we purchased a bottle of the reserve and enjoyed it with a charcuterie board. White Horse Winery is dog friendly, imperative since I have a little furry house guest this week. Saturday afternoon we were entertained by singer/guitarist Zac Run. (Zac makes his rounds at restaurants, local wineries and distilleries. He's quite good!) By mid-afternoon the winery was hopping with a birthday gathering and what looked like two bachelorette parties. There's plenty of seating on the porch, inside and on the grounds. I look forward to a return visit.

Their tasting room is beautiful but super cozy. I immediately felt relaxed the second I walked in. The winery is surrounded by forest and farmland. A picturesque landscape to admire while you drink wine! We sampled a bunch of their wines, and I finally tried their famous Shamong Blush and I get the hype now. It was smooth, sweet and went down easily. I really also enjoyed the Shamong Red and the Perfect Pear! Highly recommend doing a flight to sample different types of wines. They do have food onsite which they get from Summit Catering -- at the time of our visit (February 2025), we got the flatbread, cheeseboard, mac & cheese bites, and baked brie. Everything paired so well with the wine and just made it feel like a whole experience, not just a tasting. This is such a good spot to spend the day with your people. Date night, girls' day, family time -- you could easily hang here for hours like we did! And their event space is so pretty. If you're planning a wedding, shower, birthday -- this would be such a dreamy place to celebrate. If you need weekend plans, this is your sign. This was totally worth the hour drive!

The place was nicely decorated for Christmas and there was a Santa near the entrance as well. A holiday market was happening as well which was a nice activity after eating and drinking! My fiance got the holiday wine flight and they were all so unique. My favorite was the plum wine.
