My daughter and son both attended Tomato Day Care, and their experience there was truly amazing for their development, growth, and confidence. I remember when I was looking for a daycare and I had so many questions - here is some helpful info about the daycare: Tomato daycare provides nutritious lunches and snacks, which helped my children develop stronger self-eating skills. A menu is provided each month! I was initially nervous about the nap setup but everything worked out nicely. They use floor cots. My kids usually sleep in a dark room with a sound machine but they adjusted effortlessly and slept well from the start. You will bring a crib sheet for the cot and small blanket and these items will be returned to you on Fridays for washing. I brought 2 straw cups for my kids. One for water and one for milk. Potty training support was another huge bonus and helped us tremendously. Pictures are sent every Friday! The holidays are especially magical. Tomato Day Care puts so much effort into making them special. For those who may be wondering, I do not speak Korean and I did not have any issues with communication. In fact, it was great and easy to keep in contact either in person or by text. Ms. Grace and Ms. Yejong have been incredible. Their care, patience, and warmth made such a difference for my kids, and I'm so grateful for them both. My kids have made so many friends and happy memories there. Our little guy started in February 2022. Life has been amazing ever since. This is his first childcare setting and it did not take long for him to adjust (a month) but he was only doing part-time 3x per week. His first day there he went in and loved it, when we told him we were leaving I don't think it had fully set in. His only issue at the beginning was transitions. Transition inside from playing outside, but the teachers adapted and sang a little song to let him know the transition was coming and it helped so much. I quickly noticed him humming at home to help with transitions. We were so fortunate to get this opportunity as the space is extremely limited. There are only two classes and it's limited to 6-7 kids. I think the feeling of uneasinesses about Covid really benefited us getting in. They have got health and safety under control. The daycare does not have a TV and there is no TV time (I find this extremely special). My friend who said she toured many daycares says that all the spots she went to had TVs. They have outdoor time in the mornings, class time and plenty of play time. They take care of breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, which is a huge load off our shoulders too. I love that the meals are a mix of Korean and American food. Our little guy loves soup because they have it for lunch all the time. I love Miss. Grace, Ms. Elisa and Ms. Ye Jeong. My little guy thoroughly enjoys his time here. After his initial intro period, he has been going in with no issues and doesn't look back. It's on to the next. It is a blessing to have gotten in and to have such loving educators. There is nothing better than feeling your child is being loved and cared for in a warm, caring and safe environment. read more

Tomato daycare was exactly what we needed for our daughter! Teachers are very confident in their teachings and offer such a healthy environment for the children. Nutritious foods offered and constant updates if they discover anything concerning. For example, simple things such as recommended getting grip socks because my daughter is slipping during play. The littlest things are observed and shared with parents. The director also saw indicators my daughter was ready for potty training and before you know it, she was potty trained in two weeks with their support and we never looked back! We have had our now 20-month old enrolled since she was 13-months old and we can't say enough about how positive our experience has been so far. The teachers are wonderful in that they are attentive, enthusiastic, and kind. It was important for us to find a daycare that familiarized our daughter with Korean culture so it's great that they speak Korean to her and serve delicious Korean food items. We also love that there are no TVs and they prioritize hands-on learning. Even in the first few months of starting there we could see the leaps she's made in terms of being social around other children, gaining more confidence and becoming more independent. Time for a long overdue update! My daughter attended tomato daycare since age 18 months until 3 years old. During that time, she learned many crucial life skills I attribute to the school. She learned great social skills, how to follow rules and routines, speech, potty training, sensory learning through arts and crafts, music and story time, play, etc. The daycare takes great pride in birthdays and holidays with cute parties the children all look forward to. They send parents photo updates of the children throughout the week. The meals are preplanned for the month and the daily actitives are well thought out and highly educational. Daily journals are written out by the teacher for the infant class so parents can see how the little ones did throughout the day. My daughter cried for weeks when it was time to move on to preschool because she missed tomato so much. She is now 6 and still goes back to visit from time to time. My 19 month old son has now been attending tomato since he was 10 months old. He is having the same great experience his older sister had. When I found out I was pregnant with him, it was a no brainer to get him on the early waitlist because I know how long that list can get. My niece and nephew have also attended this daycare, all with the same great experience. The owner, Grace, and her staff are amazing, kind hearted people who truly love these kids. I started my daughter E. Hong at Tomato Daycare since she was 1.5 years old. The teachers have been super kind & extra caring for my baby. She's almost 3 & we can't recommend a better place. E is turning out to be such an outgoing & happy child. She loves going to daycare....never saying NO. They send you pictures via text weekly to show you what they do during the day. They have diaries where they write what time the kids ate & used the restroom. I chose this place cuz it's a 6 kids to 1 teacher ratio. Other places have 12 to 1. I want to make sure my kid gets enough attention. The FOOD here is GREAT! Such an extensive menu (also 1 of the main reasons I chose Tomato). My baby girl has been going to Tomato daycare for over a year. We took her there when she was an infant and now she is a young toddler. We LOVE tomato daycare. They provide organized schedule (inside play, outside play at backyard, different activities, etc) and variety of food for the kids. I recently moved around this area and didn't know where i could leave my baby sister when i'm working, but thanks to yelp, i found this wonderful establishment. This place is ideal for my sis who is 3 years old. But they usually handle kids from 12 month to 3. They feed her with good food and take care of her like she's their own child. This review is based on my interactions with Grace over a year since my child was on the waitlist. My one year old didn't ultimately go to Tomato Daycare because we didn't want to change his routine, but I wanted to write this review. Grace has been a pleasure to work with and incredibly understanding. She cares about her kids, and in fact, suggested we not change child care settings in the best interest of the child. She took the time for us to visit three times to observe the class and facilities, and she dedicated time to discuss my child's schedule and meals.
